USA London Bridge Lake Havasu City Arizona
The bridge was dismantled in London and all parts transported by sea to Lake Havasu City and reconstructed here.
Le pont de Londres a été démantelé à Londres et construit aux États-Unis à nouveau.

The London Bridge at Lake Havasu, Arizona
Some video and photos of our little trip to Lake Havasu!
From Wikipedia:
London Bridge is a bridge in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, United States, that is the relocated 1831 London Bridge that spanned the River Thames in London, England until it was dismantled in 1967. The Arizona bridge is a reinforced concrete structure clad in the original masonry of the 1830s bridge, that was bought by Robert P. McCulloch from the City of London. McCulloch had exterior granite blocks from the original bridge numbered and transported to America, to construct the present bridge in Lake Havasu City, a planned community he established in 1964 on the shore of Lake Havasu. The bridge was completed in 1971 (along with a canal), and links an island in the lake with the main part of Lake Havasu City.

THIS IS PARADISE ????????????London Bridge, Lake Havasu City ???? Full Time RV Living???? Currently living the RV Life in Arizona. After flying our drones we took a trip down to London Bridge on Lake Havasu. This bridge has a really cool history you can read about it here.
The bridge was purchase by the major of Lake Havasu City. He built a channel to place the bridge over in Lake Havasu. The bridge's bricks were numbered and sent over brick by brick. The original bridge was actually larger. When it arrived in Lake Havasu they shaved down some of the blocks which made it shorter. The bridge you see today is also hollow.

OUR STORY
We are Josh and Kali from Seattle, Washington. In 2015 we decided to change our lives. We sold everything we owned bought a RV and a truck starting living in our RV full time in 30 days! Full time rv living was a major change for us. We hadn't made any plans to change to this rv life until one day it hit us we couldn't have the American Dream and travel to. Choosing to travel meant downsizing our life and becoming minimalists. It was the BEST decision we have ever made. Now we plan to travel non-stop in our 33ft. fifth wheel full time. Join the adventure as we RV across the United States (US)

???? Drive the historic London Bridge, yes, THAT London Bridge, in Lake Havasu, Arizona. ????
In 1968 London sold their old bridge to a land developer from Missouri who thought it would make a great tourist attraction in the middle of the Arizona Desert. As the bridge was taken apart, it was shipped overseas through the Panama Canal to California and trucked from Long Beach to Arizona. The bridge was reconstructed at Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and re-dedicated on 10 October 1971.

Strange Weather 80 Degrees London Bridge Lake Havasu Arizona Today January 22 1013
After a week of record low temperatures for Arizona just last week we have record highs of 80
PHOENIX — Weeks after parts of Arizona shivered through record nighttime lows, record high temperatures are expected this week.
National Weather Service meteorologists say Tuesday's high for the Phoenix metropolitan area is forecast to hit 80 degrees. That would top the all-time high for that date, which was 78 degrees in 1994.
The high Wednesday for the Phoenix area is projected at 82 degrees, which would be another record. It's expected to hit 79 Thursday, close to the all-time high for that date.
It will be in the 50s through Wednesday in Flagstaff and other parts of northern Arizona with daytime highs 5 to 10 degrees above normal.
Weather Service officials say it'll be within a few degrees of record levels at some of the lower elevation areas, including Prescott and Cottonwood.
CLEVELAND - Extreme weather is not unusual in the United States.
This may sound like an obvious statement for many of you. But, based on what we've all been hearing on the news these days, some of you may have the impression that severe weather events in 2012 were more frequent and more dangerous than any other year in history.
Time for a different perspective.
As humans, we have short memories. Our historical perspective on weather events is limited by our age and experience. I remember my grandmother telling me that current winters were nothing like the terrible winters she experienced as a kid. We as humans tend to remember that big storm from our childhood that disrupted our lives in a way we will never forget. That memory colors our weather world forever. Today's headlines, however, are trying to convince us that current weather extremes are worse than anything grandma lived through.
According to National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), 2012 was the second most extreme year on record in the US. (behind 1998). NOAA officials write:
2012 was a historic year for extreme weather that included drought, wildfires, hurricanes and storms; however, tornado activity was below average, according to an analysis released today by NOAA's National Climatic Data Center.
A friend of mine, Paul Homewood, writes a popular climate blog called Not A lot of People Know That. He loves to crunch the numbers. Homewood actually devised a system that would categorize extreme weather events by year and rank each year. He doesn't think the weather extremes of 2012 were all that remarkable.
With global warming failing to materialize as planned, he wrote, NOAA and others have been desperate to show that extreme weather is on the increase, and that mankind is responsible. In recent years, they have been running a ' US Climate Extremes Index ', and it is this index, (Picture 1, above), that they have based their claims around.
But Homewood has real problems with this index.

London Bridge is in Arizona at Lake Havasu City
London Bridge is in Arizona at Lake Havasu City
Did you know the real london bridge from the children’s nursery rhythm is in America? We didn’t. The story goes it was built & designed for horses and pedestrians and not cars. As cars started to become a thing and made their way repeatedly over this bridge is really started “falling” or actually sinking into the sand at the bottom of the river. So london built a new one next to it. After some time it was thought. Hmm what to do with the original bridge. So it went to auction. It turns out an oil baron and Lake Havasu City founder from America was willing to pay for it & substantially. At a sum of $2,460,000 back in 1968 (that was a lot).
It was meticulously took apart brick by brick loaded onto boats to be sent to their new vis the Panama Canal and rebuilt bringing the cost of the bridge up to 5.1 million dollars.
GregWTravels to London Bridge, Lake Havasu, Arizona
Built in 1832 to cross the Thames River, the bridge was dismantled in 1962 and shipped overseas to Lake Havasu, Arizona, where it was re-assembled to cross a narrow boating channel that connects with Thompson Bay on the Arizona side of Lake Havasu.
