Diving the Kerama Islands in Okinawa Japan
For 10 days of my summer, I went diving in Okinawa, Japan, a couple of those days were spent exploring the Kerama Shoto National Park which encompasses the entire Kerama Islands.
Made a National Park in 2014, local governments have developed guidelines to protect reefs. With this protection, the Islands are known for incredible diving with clear blue water, steep wall reefs, and high diversity of marine life. All a remarkable sight. According to the guide book at My place Hostel in Naha, there are over 60 dive sites surrounding the seven main Islands.
In my stay there I only did 4 on the same one Island (Zamami) I look forward to my return to do all of the Islands.
Special Thanks to:
Marine House Sea Sir in Naha, amazing dive crew and stewards of the ocean
My family for supporting my wild adventure
My dive buddy for not ditching me

Drift Dive at Kamiyama Island and Naha Jacks in Okinawa, Japan
First-time drift diving. it's a blast since it's totally effortless. You just ride the ocean current and explore while you cover a lot of distance. Plus the convenience of the boat dropping you off and picking you up where ever you end the dive makes it much more fun. On this dive, the current on both dives was just perfect. I couldn't tell the speed but it wasn't too fast nor too slow. I was able to stop and take pictures and jump back in and stay with the group the entire dive.
If you haven't tried drift diving before I would highly recommend it !

SNORKELING IN OKINAWA, JAPAN
Hello everybody! I know it has been a while since I last uploaded but i had been quite busy with university and moving to yokohama to study. This is a trip I made in November and I travelled to Okinawa for some days to enjoy tropical weather when in Yokohama was getting colder. I didn't record that much because I was on holiday so I wanted to make the most of it, but I still managed to come up with some footage in the end. Hope you all enjoy!!!

Scuba Diving at Nagannu and Chibichi Island in Okinawa, Japan
Scuba Diving at Nagannu / Chibichi Islands in Okinawa Japan in May 2017. This 2 dive chartered trip was pretty amazing. Cloudy Saturday morning, water temperature was 75 degrees at 73 feet and 77 at the surface. It was very windy so I had to layer up at the surface and in between dives. Visibility down below was great, about 30 + feet.
This was the third time I saw a turtle while diving.

Naha Beaches: Expectations vs Reality in Okinawa
When I flew to Okinawa, I expected the beaches in Naha to be tropical white sand paradises. While there is a beach in Naha called Naminoue Beach, it doesn't have the best view and is actually quite small. Turns out you have to travel either to another island or drive outside of Naha to find this kind of tropical beach paradise.

Miyakojima is the best place to dive and explore the nature. Within 30 mins around the island, you will find some good beaches and just step in to dive into the blue world. I contacted Sun and he agreed to take me to freedive around Miyakojima. A one day trip prepared by Sun. If you are looking for freediving trips just contact him at his instagram. [4K 60fps] Okinawa Blue Cave Diving Trip 沖縄青の洞窟 at Cape Maeda 真栄田岬 | YI 4K+ Red Filter Underwater
We went to Okinawa during end Dec 2017 for a road trip and it is really a beautiful island. The people are friendly, the pace is slow. Definitely a perfect place for a relaxing vacation.
Since it is winter season, the water is around 18-degree Celsius and the ocean water can get very choppy. Hence, we only have the option to check out Blue Cave at Cape Maeda. Due to season, the water is extremely clear. We are very blessed to have such a nice and awesome 1st dive since we got our diving license. We are still amateur divers so apologized to the corals that we have killed. We will continue to hone our diving skills in order not to destroy this pretty ecosystem.
I am using YI 4K+ with PolarPro Red Filter. The footages are all so awesome that the video turned out to be around 20mins but this video is purely for memories keepsake and I really appreciate your patience if you watched finished this video.
