With the pheasant season under way for 2019/20, we've assembled The Shooting Show's crack team of guns at Burton Agnes estate for a mid-October shoot. We follow director Pete as he stokes up his Browning shotgun for the first time in a new season. Pheasant, partridge and the occasional duck are on the shooting list – let's see what the day brings…
The Gardens at Burton Agnes Hall
OK for children and family viewing OK for children and family viewing Part two of a visit to Burton Agnes Hall in mid June is of the Walled Garden that lies south of the Hall. The displays there change with the seasons with many different paths to walk and view from. Herbs, flowers and shrubs as well as fruit and vegetables are planted in beds and at the far end of the Walled Garden are a number of smaller gardens laid out with giant board games with seating areas. After a walk through the Jungle Garden we leave the Walled Garden to see the Classic Pond that is very pretty with statues and water lilies, The water feature is of a large rotating ball floating on the water.

We visited a Car Show organised by The Cambridge and Oxford Owners Club (COOC); to which our Club, East Yorkshire Thorough Bred Car Club, had been invited. The location was the beautiful Burton Agnes Hall near Bridlington, East Riding of Yorkshire. This Hall has been in single family ownership for 500plus years and has some of the most elegant Award Winning Colour Themed gardens we know.
This is a brief look around that day, the weather was Sunny and bright but so windy.

On October 5th 1986, GW-designed Modified Hall No. 6998 worked a Blackmore Vale Express from Salisbury to Yeovil. She performed a run-past at Templecombe, before leaving for Yeovil. This is a stereo audio clip.
