One Direction perform in South Africa for first gig since Zayn Malik's departure
One Direction have performed for the first time since Zayn Malik announced he'd left the band.
The group played the Soccer City stadium in the South African city of Johannesburg.
At the start of the gig, Harry Styles told the crowd: You have no idea how much we love you right now.
Zayn quit the group saying he wanted to be a normal 22-year-old who was able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight.
Inmates Are Using VR For A Chance To Get Out Of Prison
Six Colorado inmates sentenced to decades in prison as teenagers in the ’80s and ’90s thought they would never get out. During their 20-plus years behind bars, technology has changed the outside world dramatically.
The criminal justice system has changed, too, becoming more forgiving of people who commit crimes as juveniles. Since 2005, the U.S. Supreme Court has slowly chipped away at harsh, mandatory sentences for kids, ultimately finding in 2012 that it’s unconstitutional to sentence juveniles to life without parole.
This year, Colorado started an early-release program for people convicted as juveniles who have already served 20 years of their sentences. To get ready for life on the outside, inmates in the three-year program use virtual reality to prepare for stressful situations and practice skills they never learned as teens, like doing laundry and grocery shopping.
VICE News visited the medium-security Fremont Correctional Facility as they used VR for the first time.

Lion King: 23-Year-Old Is Best Friends With Big Cats | BEAST BUDDIES
SUBSCRIBE to Barcroft Animals:
HANDSOME lion wrangler Shandor Larenty is so busy with his lions and hyenas - who like to give him kisses - has no time for romantic relationships with girls. While his friends were out partying and enjoying their teens, the dedicated 24-year-old was working night shifts at The Lion Park near Johannesburg, South Africa, mucking out hyenas, watching over sick lions, or doing special night feeds with injured giraffes. While Shandor admits he’s doing his “dream job”, the work is demanding it means he has no time for a love life. Thankfully he does get affection from somewhere, but it’s usually from his furry friends at the park like Themba the hyena.

Sizwe Banzi is Dead - Trailer - McCarter Theatre
To stay above the water, Sizwe Banzi might just have to put himself below the ground. John Kani won a Tony Award for Best Actor for his astonishing performance in a historic collaboration with South Africa’s greatest playwright, Athol Fugard (Master Harold and the Boys, Valley Song). Now, 40 years later, Kani brings us a new production of this soaring and personal play, direct from South Africa’s acclaimed Market Theatre. As relevant now as it was then, Sizwe Banzi is Dead is an exquisite demonstration of the political power of storytelling. A striking tale of heroism and perseverance, this powerful drama is filled with surprising humor and uplifting faith in the human spirit.

Meet the Coach -
As Head Football Coach of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, Ken Niumatalolo balances the pressures of his high-stress job by putting his family and faith first. Meet the Fighter -
With her husband’s help, extreme sports enthusiast Carolina Muñoz Marin has fought her way to the top of women’s amateur kickboxing in Costa Rica, challenging the traditional stereotypes of a Mormon woman. In between family time and training for competitions, Carolina and her husband run a charity to help those in Costa Rica who are less fortunate.
Meet the Bishop -
Jermaine Sullivan works full-time as an academic counselor to 200 students in order to support his wife and three kids. He also volunteers full-time as a Bishop of a Mormon church in Atlanta, Georgia. He leads his diverse congregation with youthful exuberance while shattering stereotypes of what it means to be a Mormon Bishop.
Meet the Mom -
Dawn Armstrong, a struggling single mother, had hit rock bottom and lost all hope. Then she met some Mormon missionaries who helped her and her son get back on their feet and start a new life. Her son is now older and ready to fulfill his two-year voluntary missionary work. As she helps him prepare to leave home for the first time ever, she also prepares to say goodbye.
