Aguasabon Falls is one of the most spectacular scenery in Lake Superior Ontario Canada.
It is located in Terrace Bay Ontario Canada along Trans Canada Highway 17 east of the city of Rossport and Schreiber. It is not only a Water Fall but it is also a Gorge.
It is right along the Trans Canada Highway 17. There is a Gulf Course in the area for those who wish to gulf.

Aguasabon Falls in Terrace Bay
This video shows the magnificant Aguasabon Falls and Gorge in Terrace Bay, Ontario at one of its highest recorded levels of 200 cubic metres per second. The sight is simply incredible and hard to imagine that it is one of the main water diversions into Lake Superior and has raised water levels 2.8 cm! The attraction has a nice park and washrooms for tourists and leads into the 52km Casque Isles Hiking Trail. For more information visit terracebay.ca.

Where Aguasabon Falls empties into Lake Superior, Terrace Bay, Ontario
North of Superior: Aguasabon Gorge Falls
The Aguasabon Gorge and Falls are located one km west of the Tourist Information Center in Terrace Bay. From Highway 17, follow the signs to a parking lot at the falls. From the parking lot there is a boardwalk out to a viewing platform overlooking the gorge and the spectacular 100 foot falls that are flowing into the gorge from the left. The river follows fractures in the bedrock, which are approximately 2.6 billion years old, and the exposed rock located on the face of the Gorge is called granodiorite.
The Aguasabon Gorge features a large turn-around parking lot, picnic tables and washrooms. The Gorge boardwalk is wheelchair accessible and serves as an entrance to the 52 km Casques Isles Hiking Trail.

Aguasabon Gorge in Terrace Bay
This video shows the winding canyon that the Aguasabon Gorge follows on its way to Lake Superior. The Aguasabon River then flows under the snowmobile bridge named Lou's Landing on its way to Terrace Bay Beach. For more information visit terracebay.ca/tourism.

This video is a montage of the 3 days I spent in Terrace Bay. Terrace Bay is a town with just over 1,000 people and has plans to grow in the coming years- this place is INCREDIBLE and offers more than I can fit into this nine minute video as I was only here for a few days. Hiking trails that extent around Lake Superior (51 kilometres long), a scenic beach & marina, a golf course, Aguasabon falls & gorge, Danny's cove, the Slate Islands boat tours & more are all here... I know I will be back here one day and I predict this hidden gem will continue to grow.
