de Havilland Dragon 'Rapide' classic flight - Coventry Airbase 2011
This was Thomas Hayward's (age 12) first aeroplane flight. It was in this de Havilland Rapide G-AGTM (DH-8GA) classic aircraft flown from the Coventry Airport West 'Airbase', the home of ClassicFlight the UK's largest fleet of fully operational iconic vintage aircraft. The flight went over both Kenilworth & Warwick Castle in Warwickshire,England. -May 2011-
Nimrod Joins Classic Flight 11.05.10
The skies above Coventry have witnessed the final flight of an RAF Nimrod, after four decades of service. The Hawker Siddeley Nimrod MR 2 flew from RAF Kinloss to Coventry, where it will be used as a working exhibit at the new Airbase museum. Victoria Smith watched the aircraft touch down, for the last time.

Airbase Gets Airborne Airshow: Meteor and Vampire
The heritage pair was the finale of the flying segment of the airbase gets airborne air show and was a great display. The Meteor NF.11 with the De Havilland Vampire doing some formation flying before doing a solo routine with lots of high speed passes and that great classic jet sound. Enjoy!

Midland Air Museum Coventry
Photographs of a trip with my son to this gem of a museum. Coventry used to host a great air show when I was a child - this place brought back a lot of happy memories.
