Arabian Bamboo Shark Diving WS Jan2018
In January 2018, Sharks Educational Institute held two shark diving workshops in the UAE, to increase the knowledge and environmental awareness of divers interested in knowing more about sharks, and the conservation of the fragile oceanic balance.
The second shark diving workshop was carried out on the UAE’s Gulf Coast, on waters offshore Abu Dhabi, by an area of remote spots that can be called as Bamboo Garden.
This video resumes these Gulf Coast dives, conducted in close collaboration with Al Mahara Diving Centre, based at the Beach Rotana Hotel Abu Dhabi.
During the 4 dives of the two days workshop, we had the opportunity of observe 17 individual Arabian Bamboo Sharks, also known as Arabian Carpetsharks (Chiloscyllium arabicum).
