The First Days of Alameda
CHRS, The California Historical Radio Society, has just entered into escrow for a new home for our museums and libraries - 2152 Central Ave in Alameda CA. Formerly located in Berkeley, we now have a chance to have a permanent home for our giant radio museum, our historic broadcast station, our ham station W6CF, the Bay Area Radio Hall Of Fame, the Maxwell library, the Society of Wireless Pioneers archives, the repair shop and more. This video shows the original condition of the property and is designed to give us ideas for its use. There are some very nice spaces, twice the square footage of KRE. We are currently fund raising for the building, details at californiahistoricalradio.com Can we name this building after you?
