B.A.P.S visited Allestree Hall, Site of a paranormal investigation in the near future, if and when permissions are granted as the B.A.P.S team will not trespass!!
Allestree Hall is a 19th-century former country house situated in Allestree Park, Allestree, Derby. It is a Grade II* listed building but has been unoccupied for many years, and has been placed on the Heritage at Risk Register.
The Mundy family owned the Manor of Allestree from 1516 until Francis Noel Clarke Mundy sold it to Thomas Evans in 1781. It was later the home of William Evans and of his son Sir Thomas William Evans, 1st Baronet. On his death in 1892 the latter bequeathed the estate to his brother in law William Gisborne.
The area known as Allestree Park was enclosed in about 1818. The house begun by Bache Thornhill was completed by John Giradot (High Sheriff of Derbyshire) with three storeys and five bays, the central three bowed with an ionic columned porch.
A large part of the estate was sold for housing development in 1928. The neglected house now stands in a 300-acre (1.2 km2) park and golf course. Allestree Park is a Local Nature Reserve

This is a short video I made in Allestree Park today. This is the first time I had seen what the sledging hill was like at Allestree Park, This park certainly has a good long sledging hill. I would say its longer than Darley Park.
When you arrive at the car park at Allestree Park you need to walk through to the park towards the hall on your left.
There are two sledging areas the first one is on your right and has several slopes but the main one is very well hidden and you might even miss it. you need to walk past the hall and past the Animal Corner and down the path then turn right and you will see the very large hill on your left side.
If YOU know of any other good places to go sledging in Derby then please leave a comment with exact details of where and how steep etc.

Fishing Derby at Hannastown Golf Club
They have such a wonderful summer golf course for the kids.... one of the fun things they do is hold a fishing derby for the students and their family! Hannastown Golf Club is located in Greensburg, PA.
