One of my favorite places to visit is Cambodia. I only had a few nights there, so I made the most of it. Among the things not to miss: The temples around Angkor Wat (which you may have seen in the film Laura Croft: Tombraider) and the cool scene in Siem Reap.

Wat Damnak Temple Guide - Things to do in Siem Reap
If you're looking for things to do in Siem Reap, then you should visit Wat Damnak Pagoda in Wat Damnak Village. This Buddhist temple is one of the largest in Siem Reap town and totally free for visitors (although you should make a small donation if you go).
The temple has a long history and has been a part of Siem Reap for more than 100 years.
It was originally used as a Royal Palace for King Sisowath. During the Khmer Rouge era, it was a military depot. Nowadays, it is used for a primary school, 2 charities, a library, and a place to relax in the gardens.
Wat Damnak is located on the east of the Siem Reap River, just over the bridge at Kings Road and Hard Rock Cafe. It's open from 8 o'clock in the morning until 5:30pm.

Tips For Visiting The Temples of Angkor | Guide on how to explore the temples of Angkor, Cambodia
We recently completed a three day tour of the Temples of Angkor and along the way we learned some valuable things that we're sharing in the form of advice, tips and a guide for visiting the temples along with our personal favorite experiences. Tip number one is to get a three day pass as opposed to just a a one day pass. There are a lot of fascinating temples to explore aside from just Angkor Wat and trying to cram that all into one chaotic day is a bad idea. Instead go for a three day pass and take your time to experience the temples at a more leisurely pace.

Tip number two is to get up as early as possible. The package tourists crowds start arriving at around 7 to 8 am and if you can get to the temples before that time you may be the first on site. We were fortunate enough to have that experience at Banteay Srei where we were welcomed as the very first tourists of the day.
Tip number three is to take a tuk-tuk instead of a bike. Although it may seem like a good idea to take a bicycle, it's certainly not in our opinion. We noticed many people on bikes looking exhausted, burnt and dehydrated. The temples themselves are quite massive (some kilometers in length) and when you couple that with the heat and humidity it's best to conserve your energy by hiring an autorickshaw for the day.
Audrey's favorite experience was waking up early to visit Angkor Wat for sunrise. She found it special to share the moment with others and she also met a Uruguayan couple that she started speaking to in Spanish.
Samuel, on the other hand, was in awe over the fact of being the first people to arrive at Banteay Srei. In the past, he had arrived at this temple when it was overcrowded with tourists and this time around it felt much more intimate with a special VIP tour.
Today we are making a video where we will be sharing some of our tips for visiting the temples of Angkor in Siem Reap, Cambodia. We just finished a three day tour there. It was an excellent trip all in all but we did learn a few things along the way that we'd like to share with you.
Okay, point number 1. We would suggest you go for three days instead of one. There are just so many temples to choose from. There is no way you would be able to fit in all of them main ones into one day. There is an option for a seven day pass but we both think it is way too much. You would be templed out by the end of that. You really would be. In just one day if you try to cover all of the main temples, all of the temples you'd like to visit, it just wouldn't be any fun. You would be going from maybe six or seven in the morning right up until five at night. Given the heat and humidity here that is just totally unpleasant. Not pleasant at all.
Tip number two is get up early to visit the temples. You're gong to have to get up a lot earlier than you might think. On our first day here we got up at seven in the morning. We thought that would be early enough but by eight o'clock it was already scorching. We actually learned our lesson by visiting Bayon first in Angkor Thom. It was overrun by package tourists at the time. We probably go there around eight o'clock. We had to buy our passes and whatnot but every day after - the two other days - we got up at five and it was a much better experience. Sometimes we even had the temple all to ourselves, so set your alarm for four thirty in the morning and you can be there by five and it'll be a completely different experience. A perfect example of that was at Banteay Srei. We were the first people there and we got a VIP tour, so even if you're not a morning person, get up early and you'll be rewarded for it.
This is part of our Travel in Cambodia series. We're making a series of videos showcasing Khmer / Cambodian culture, arts, food, religion and people.

Travel with Nelin Star Travel & Tour to Sambor Preikuk Temple Site at Kampong Thom Province Cambodia
It's a great travel on Sunday with Nelin Star travel & tour to Sambo Preikuk temple site at Kampong Thom province in Cambodia. We got up early in the morning, got on a Tuk Tuk at 5:15am to tour company. We travel with a 35 seats bus with just 17 tourists, 3 tour guides and a driver. We had breakfast at the green world 72 restaurant at Skun in Kampong Cham province. After breakfast, we continued to Kampong Thom province, stopped at the center point of Cambodia across from Kampong Thom market and south of Stung Sen bridge/river. We packed the foods from Arunreas restaurant and continued our trip to Sambo Preikuk temple site. We got there at around 11:15am walked to the temple and sang a khmer national anthem song altogether in front of the temple. We're all proud as Sambo Preikuk temple site's registered as a world heritage by UNESCO on 8th July 2017. Bravo Cambodia! Bravo Sambo Preikuk temple site!! Cambodia Kingdom of wonder!!

Koh Kong Province ខេត្តកោះកុង - Cambodia & Trat Province [Thailand]| I HEART CAMBODIA Episode 10
Wow, what can I say? This is probably one of the underrated provinces in Cambodia. I really enjoyed my time there. The view along the road alone is worth the trip! Koh Kong is such a cool but yet untapped place in Cambodia. It has the marvelous mangrove jungle along the creeks, rivers and sea. It is just so beautiful. I would recommend a boat ride in to the mangrove forest if you have time. Unfortunately, we didn't get to do that. I did actually cross over the border to Thailand cuz you know .... why not! Hahaha. My uncle bought a lot of stuff ... mostly snacks and drinks. Given that I just got back from Bangkok, Thailand (if you haven't seen the travel vlog series, you should cuz it's very popular! It's called Bangkok Only) - I put the links below, it was really familiar to me. Anyway, it was a bit different to the city life I'm accustomed to. We had lunch at Koh Kong Resort, the food and the service were amazing! The staff there can speak so many languages! I will definitely go back to the resort if I have a chance. There is a big influence from Thailand since that province is next to the country. I did film some in my GoPro which I will post later. It gives a different point of view to the travelling experience. Like and subscribe for more videos. Follow me on IG @tovnadavid Kpop reaction channel Have a good day!

From Siem Reap to the Thai-Border in Poipet - Cambodia 4K Travel Channel
For our journey from Siem Reap to Koh Chang in Thailand, we have booked a car, in order to see something of the country.
Via the National Highway 6, that is lined with a number of renowned hotels in the urban area , we leave Siem Reap. Afterward, the highway leads straight through villages and paddy fields.
The driver tells us that the highway has been recently extended. Now it is much better to drive, however, since the people drive much faster, more accidents happen than in the past. But in the meantime, we have got used to the traffic in the southeast Asia, so that this statement cannot frighten us. In the villages, the driver draws our attention to a lot of small stalls that offer bottles with a brownish liquid. These are no soft drinks, but special gasoline that is smuggled.
After about three hours we reach the Thai border Poipet. After 180 km our driver leaves us before the border crossing on the Cambodian side. Taxis and private passenger are not allowed to cross the border. Another guide awaits us.
Immediately, he tells us to hurry up and leads us to the Cambodian border control. Quickly we had to fill out a form and queue up at the counter. In front is a device with a glass plate. The officer indicates us, to place the fingers on the glass plate. Several green lights and a red one light up. The officer scowls until we move the fingers and all the lights shine green; The fingerprints are scanned. This process only lasted for about 30 seconds.
A few weeks ago, we saw the refugee control at the German border on television at home. An official with rubber gloves takes every single finger of a refugee, pushes this into ink and makes an imprint on the paper. We have a consensus view that the German border control should be given some extra tuition by the Cambodians.
But why the Cambodians take fingerprints when departing and not when entering, remains a mystery.

ANGKOR WAT:
Regarded as the supreme masterpiece of Khmer architecture, it is a huge pyramid temple built by Suryavarman II between 1113 and 1150. It is surrounded by a moat 570 feet wide and about four miles long. The mass of bas-relief carving is of the highest quality and the most beautifully executed in Angkor. Largest religious structure. Something that you can't really imagine.
