Kind of much, this is my last bus ride in Jamaica with Knutsford for now. I rode the 7:30AM bus to Montego Bay Airport Departures area. The ride was smooth and the traffic is minimal. I had to sit on the aisle this time because all the window seats were taken.

Traveling to Jamaica in 2019 | FACTS YOU BETTER KNOW!
Greetings, Travelers! Welcome back to Traveling-Guru where we take an insider look at travel and tourism. I’m your host Dennis Foutz and if you haven’t already done so, please subscribe to this YouTube channel.
This week we are discovering Jamaica! Jamaicans are very proud of their island and their people. “Out of Many One People” In today’s insider video, you will begin to see, what I see, and deepen your understanding of this island nation, you will see why and understand why so many visitors return year after year.
This is a several part series and you’ve tuned into Jamaica’s Fast Facts!, Creative Accomodations
*All-Inclusive Resort. It was Jamaica the pioneered the all-inclusive concept and continues to perfect it with client-delighting features like butler service and swim-up rooms.
*Villa Rentals. It was Jamaica, too, that developed the villa rental concept in the Caribbean, and today’s rentals villas range from beachside cottages to full-on estates with butlers, chauffeurs, and chefs.
*Boutique hotels. Although Jamaica didn’t invent boutique hotels, Jamaica believes they are among the most original and wonderful in the world, with everything from tree houses to mountainside huts.
Natural Diversity
Between Jamaica’s high mountain peeks and its offshore coral shelf, nature has worked her own inspired magic, creating hundreds of species found nowhere else on earth. This makes the island a magnet for birdwatchers, divers, and even scientists.
Shores. Jamaica has long stretches of watersports-friendly, postcard perfect white sand beaches, but it also has black volcanic sands and dramatic cliff-framed coves.
Inland. Jungle-like mountains and mangrove forests are laced with racing rivers, waterfalls and healing hot springs.
Amazing Adventures. While carefully preserving the gifts of nature, Jamaica continues to unleash their creativity by finding new ways for visitors to enjoy their country’s beauty. Iconic adventures such as climbing Dunn’s River Falls or rafting down the Rio Grande have been joined by ziplining and flying through the jungle canopy on a roller coaster, challenging the Cockpit Country’s nearly 300 caves and explorations on mountain bikes, horseback or camel.
Rich History. For visitors, Jamaica’s rich heritage comes alive as you tour plantation great houses, historic sites, and rural mountain villages where the unique culture of the Maroons is shared through drumming and storytelling. Jamaica’s beach towns have their own stories as well, from Errol Flynn’s wild Hollywood parties on Navy Island off Port Antonio and the posh pampering of the 50s jetsetters in Montego Bay and Ocho Rios, or Negril’s flower children days.
The Vibe. One of Jamaica’s best known exports is reggae, the soundtrack to many Jamaican experiences, and the music many carry home with them as souvenirs. Reggae is celebrated in many festivals throughout the year, including Reggae Sumfest and Rebel Salute. Enthusiasts can visit the childhood and adult home of legendary reggae artiste Bob Marley, who’s credited for bringing reggae music to the world.

Arriving Montego Bay Jamaica
Once you depart from your Air plane you have a long walk to customs office area , there you have your passport stamped then then if you have a bag go pick up your luggage and head out. There will be a lot of people offering to help you outside , but nicely tell them you are just going to couples and they will either direct you or walk away , Once everyone has arrived to the couples lounge they will show you out to a van or small bus. In our case Anthony the gust house owner was waiting for us No problem at all . Once you are outside the taxi drive will ask if you want a ride that depends on you . Personally we would rather just call SISU Lovely home gust house.. hope this helps.
Route Taxi - Montego Bay, Jamaica
Riding in a “route taxi” which is the cheapest and most common mode of transport in Jamaica. It’s a cross between hitchhiking and getting a shared taxi. Route taxis have a particular driving route they take between suburbs. It’s both “official” and “unofficial” - it’s basically anyone who has a car or minibus, with a red number plate showing it is part of the official taxi system. Once the vehicle is full (and I mean REALLY full) then it leaves! There is no set time, and pick up is anywhere along the route!

Esposa & I Take JTL Shuttle From RIU Hotel to Sangster Airport, Montego Bay Jamaica 2/26/15
Recorded the third week of February 2015. The esposa and I went on a trip to the Holiday Inn Sunspree in Montego Bay, Jamaica, to escape the unbelievable cold and snow in Lancaster, PA, for five days. We did the whole trip for $2200 for airfare, food/booze, resort, JTL transport, club mobay, everything. We went to the Sunspree three winters ago, for 1400, and had such a good time we decided to return. This is our experience. My short bio: My biological mother gave me up to MA DSS, I was a foster kid, and then I ended up adopted. I dropped out of high school at 15.I joined the USAF at 17, was an 811 at Loring AFB, and then I met the esposa. I'm a middle aged urban industrial hipster. Mostly vegan. I write books and plays that I give away as torrents. I don't waste time on politics but I love ideas. I treat these videos more like a blog of my daily life. What I'm doing. What I'm thinking. A way to capture those little prosaic moments and mundane experiences that I call my life in your lunatic passive-aggressive world. Nothing special. As always, thanks for watching this video. I moderate comments, and even reply to some of them nowadays. Please keep it clean, people. Nobody wants to read your illiterate hateful screeds. Believe me about this: nobody wants to read about your anger, least of all me. I just delete it, without reading it, and ban you for life. So it's no more fun times watching my videos when you lose control. Get it?

Planning a trip to Jamaica? Learn about the best ways to get around this beautiful Caribbean island in this travel video. Tip: If you're going during high season and want to rent a car, be sure to book ahead!
If you’re not planning to spend all your time on the grounds of a resort during your stay in Jamaica, you’ll need a way to get around. Fortunately, you have a few options.
Buses connect most of the towns in Jamaica and are very inexpensive, but they also tend to be crowded and don’t operate on strict schedules. However, there are a few luxury bus services–just be sure to reserve ahead of time.
Taxis are also available, both for shorter trips and for traveling between towns, but since price is based on car and multiple passengers will be taken, you shouldn’t necessarily expect this to be the more comfortable option. If you want to take a taxi, flag one down or call a taxi service to pick you up; remember that official taxis will have red license plates.
Car rental is really your best bet if you want to go far. Just remember -- Drive on the left side of the road and bring plenty of cash, as many gas stations don’t take credit. During the high season, cars will be in high demand, so reserve ahead of time. If you want something smaller, you can also rent mopeds and motorcycles through most car services and hotels.
Whatever you choose, set aside plenty of time for your travels–you came to Jamaica to relax, not to rush.
