RUTA DE LOS SALARES ANDINOS | ATACAMA CONNECTION
Passeio de dia inteiro no qual visitamos salares formados na fronteira entre Chile, Argentina e Bolívia. Iniciamos o dia com um delicioso café da manhã no mirante para o Licancabur, o mais icônico o vulcão da cordilheira dos Andes. Após o café, visitamos o bofedal de Quipillaco, onde apreciamos o contraste entre a vegetação pantanosa e a cordilheira andina.
A próxima parada são os Monjes de la Pacana onde, entre a formação rochosa esculpida pelo tempo e pelo vento, encontra-se aquela conhecida como Índio ou Guardião de la Pacana. Neste setor, podemos encontrar a pedra vulcânica obsidiana e observar o vulcão tripartido Zapaleri.
Depois, visitamos o Salar de Águas Calientes I, onde apreciamos a paisagem da laguna Negra. Em seguida vamos para o Salar de Quisquiro, onde a mescla de cores proporciona uma paisagem multicolorida sobre os 4.000 metros de altitude. Lá, preparamos e saboreamos o almoço ao ar livre antes de iniciar o retorno a San Pedro.
TREKKING DE GUATIN + TERMAS DE PURITAMA | ATACAMA CONNECTION
Uma caminhada em contato especial com a natureza.
São aproximadamente 1 hora e meia caminhando pelo cânion de Guatin, subindo o rio Puritama para chegar nas Termas de Puritama e relaxar.
No trajeto, podemos observar antigos refúgios utilizados pelos povos nômades que habitavam o Atacama. O trekking termina nas relaxantes águas quentes das Termas de Puritama, onde curtimos as piscinas por mais 1 hora e meia, antes de retornar a San Pedro.

Salar de Tara & Monjes de la Pacana: Tour no Deserto do Atacama
No Atacama, Chile, o tour até o Salar de Tara, que te busca bem cedinho no hotel, não é só sobre o destino, que é o incrível salar, mas, também, sobre o caminho. E ele já começa lindo: num mirante do Licancabur, um vulcão que fora considerado um deus pelos nativos antigos da região.
Depois, logo em seguida, o tour nos leva até a Reserva Nacional Los Flamencos, onde pudemos observar os não tão famosos Monjes de la Pacana. Sim, são pedras bem verticais e com estruturas bem fálicas no meio do deserto, cuja silhueta lembra muito um monge mesmo, ao menos é o que dizem. De origem vulcânica, foram formadas pela erosão do vento durante milhares de anos. Chega a ser misterioso!
Depois de conhcer um pouco esse curiosos monjes, mal sabíamos que teríamos uma longa viagem off-road no meio das dunas do deserto, tudo isso para, enfim, chegarmos no incrível Salar de Tara.
O que mais impressiona, logo de início, são as suas dimensões. Localizado a 4.400m acima do nível do mar, é para bater recorde de altitude no Atacama. E não seja louco que nem esse casal nesse vídeo. Eles ficam dançando e gastando bastante energia em um lugar em que basta andar para se sentir cansado. São piradinhos da cabeça mesmo.
Aproveite para andar devagar e apreciar a paisagem com flamingos tão belos, tão lindos, tão fofos. Olhe para trás e veja, também, as incríveis Catedrais do Salar. Não são belas? São, sim!
E fica, tem lanchinho. A agência nos ofereceu de almoço tacos, tendo como visão o salar, tão belo como ele é. Muito bom hein? É um passeio cansativo, não vou mentir, mas compensa.

San Pedro is almost at the end of the Atacama Desert and was our last destination before leaving Chile for Bolivia.
It was also the beginning of high altitude for us and riding through the Andes to Bolivia. This superb town hosts historical sites and deep history of the Atacamenians.
The logoons and hot springs on the high plateau (4,200 mtrs), the Moon Valley and the Ecological sites make for the tourist attractions in this region.

Chaxa Lagoon
An oasis in the middle of the Atacama Desert.
You walk through a trail that is surrounded by solidified salt formations that reflect the sunshine and impress you. You will get to the lagoon and there you will find some majestic visitors that will welcome you with a first-rate dance: three different species of flamencos.
Pink and big, they enjoy the space that belongs to them. In the Chaxa Lagoon they make their mating dances and lay their eggs. In the background, the mountains witness everything, and you find yourself in the middle of an oasis that is part of the conservation of these birds. The emotion will be hard to describe, nonetheless connection is what matters the most here, where silence to not scare the flamencos is a demonstration of respect to its preservation.
At 4500 meters above sea level you will find a lagoon surrounded with sporadic visitors: beautiful birds that with their sounds make their presence felt showing that there is life even in the desert.
