We're home in New Zealand and are so excited to bring you this 4 part series on the best food in our homeland. This is our 4th New Zealand video and it's based in our hometown of Auckland. Auckland is a very multi-cultural city and the food scene is diverse and vibrant. We hunt down traditional hāngi, Indian chaat, Szechaun noodles and a unique Samoan pie.
What we ate and where we ate it:
1. Hāngi from The Māori Kitchen, Queens Wharf International Cruise Terminal, 89 Quay St, Auckland 1010, New Zealand. Open daily 7:00am to 4:00pm.
2. Chaat from Mumbai Chaat, 1 Kitchener Rd, Sandringham, Auckland 1025, New Zealand. Open Monday 12:00pm to 9:00pm, Wednesday and Thursday 11:30am to 9:00pm, Friday to Sunday 11:30am to 9:30pm.
3. Dan dan noodles and dumplings from Eden Noodles, 105 Dominion Rd, Mount Eden, Auckland 1024, New Zealand. Open 11:30am to 9:30pm.
4. Palusami pie from Blue Rose, 414 Sandringham Rd, Sandringham, Auckland 1025, New Zealand. Open Monday 9:00am to 3:00pm, Tuesday to Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm, Saturday and Sunday 8:00am to 4:00pm.

If you ever happen to find yourself in Auckland downtown which they also call Auckland CBD or Auckland Central, I promise you one thing ~ That you won’t die of hunger pangs because there is sooooo much to try here! The vibrant city is gushing with university students, has great coffee, loads of Korean-Japanese cosmetics to explore & then, there is food.....So much food that it’s mind boggling! For all the 3 weeks I was in Auckland we just ate n ate n ate & of all the things I ate, here are some of my favorite foods you can try If you happen to be in Auckland CBD & are looking for recommendations…….

Best Seafood Restaurants in Auckland, New Zealand
The island nation of New Zealand is known for its immaculate seafood. Join us on this episode as we sample some of Auckland's finest seafood restaurants.
1. Our first stop is the newly re-opened Auckland Fish Market. We have already been here multiple times since its revamp and refurbishment. The plethora of quality seafood choices both cooked and fresh is outstanding. New Zealand has some incredible seafood and you can get a great variety of it at Auckland Fish Market. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well as a carpark nearby. Quick tip, keep your second carpark receipt so you can redeem $4 cashback at any of the seafood eateries by simply giving them your parking ticket.

Whitebait fritters from Billypot.
Sword fish skewers from Mar and Tierra.
Popcorn prawn and fish tacos from Tiki Thai.
And whitebait and snapper dumplings from Azabu.

2. Next up, one of our favourites Crab Shack! The best place in New Zealand to eat crabs. Crab Shack in Auckland is located on Princes Wharf so you get to enjoy a fantastic waterfront stroll to the restaurant. You gotta try it, grab a pot of crabs, get your bibs on and enjoy all the seafood yumminess.

3. Finally we go to one of the busiest and most popular places to get seafood in Auckland. Depot located very close to Sky City, have an amazing array of live clams and oysters all seasonal and always fresh. Depot Eatery and Oyster Bar is a must visit spot if you're in Auckland and on the hunt for a good seafood restaurant. Oh and the fish sliders are to die for!

If you are wondering on some things to do in Auckland, New Zealand, join us as we take you around this amazing city. Today, I went on an Auckland Free Walking Tour and it was a great introduction of the city.

We went to Auckland University and a few other places around town.
By the way, the military fly-over was to celebrate the end of WW 1. In the video, I had no idea! ????
The name of the gigantic tree you saw was the Pohutukawa tree, also known as a New Zealand Christmas Tree. If you Google them, they don't look much like this. But when they're decades old they do!
And while we got to see Auckland Tower, I didn't film it because we really didn't do much there. I'll show you the tower in a future video.
If you come to Auckland, or anywhere in New Zealand, you have to try a flat white coffee (if you drink coffee!) They say, The flat white coffee was invented in Australia, but it was perfected in New Zealand.
I spent a lot of money on flat whites here, and I couldn't agree more. Though I admit, I haven't had one in Australia. ????

One of the busiest and most diverse markets in the Auckland region, people come from all over to check out the Sunday Market at Takapuna Beach. While here have a nosey around the boutique shops of Hurstmere Rd and Shore City Mall, and enjoy breakfast, brunch or lunch at one of the many cafes and restaurants. Queen Street is the major commercial thoroughfare in the Auckland CBD, Auckland, New Zealand's main population centre.
