Tulum Mayan Ruins by Cancun Mexico
The drone we use:
This is the very last day we spent in Mexico and we went out with a bang. We drove two hours from Cancun to the Tulum mayan ruins. These ruins are the newest of the Mexico mayan ruins and are beautifully located on the coast of the Yucatan peninsula. The great part about these ruins is you can swim on a private beach at the foot of them!
Our FAVORITE tour in TULUM, MEXICO!!
In our Tulum vlog, we go deep into the Riviera Maya jungle for thrilling zip lines & secret cenotes.
►Learn Spanish like us!
Until yesterday, we had never gone to any cenotes in Mexico. Today, we are taking a jungle adventure with Selva Maya for some rock climbing, rappelling, zip lines, snorkeling in cenotes, and our first outdoor cenote! The entire day was nothing short of a spectacular adrenalin rush.
We know tons of people look for a Cancun cenote and Playa del Carmen cenotes but these TULUM Mexico cenotes were just incredible! If you’re looking for things to do near Tulum, Playa del Carmen, OR Cancun we highly recommend Selva Maya Eco Adventures for a fun jungle experience most tourists don’t know about.
This was our last full day in Tulum, Mexico and we’re a little sad to head to Playa del Carmen and leave the cenotes in Tulum behind. Swimming in cenotes has been an experience like no other we’ve had in Mexico. And the fact that we got to go snorkeling in cenotes was just a cherry on top! Hope you enjoy today’s Tulum vlog. We are already making plans to come back to this Pueblo Magico again!!
If you want to experience this Tulum adventure for yourself, Selva Maya Eco Adventure Tour has your back:

Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico:
My wife Ying and I, and our baby Micah, traveled to Mexico with my friend Carlos and his family. I met Carlos many years ago in University in Phoenix, Arizona, and he’s originally from Sonora, in Northern Mexico. Throughout University, Carlos and I would eat Mexican food non-stop, and we dreamed of traveling in Mexico to experience more. Finally we made this trip happen!
We actually flew into Cancun, and then immediately drove down to Playa Del Carmen where we based ourselves. On our first day we decided to take a day trip to Tulum, a small town on the Riviera Maya coast, and one of the official historical port cities of the Maya.
Taquería Honorio - First things first, we started off with some breakfast tacos at a well known Mexican street food spot in Tulum. I had a mix of four different types of tacos, all of which were extraordinary, but probably the best was the lechon, the roast suckling pig. This is a must eat tacos restaurant when you’re in Tulum.
Price for my plate - 64 MXN ($3.45)
Ruins of Tulum - 70 MXN ($3.77) - One of the main attractions in Tulum are the ancient Mayan ruins. It’s a beautiful place, and what makes it so incredible are not only the ruins, but the fact that they are right up along the gorgeous turquoise Caribbean coast. It was great to walk around, even though it was packed with visitors.
Playa Paraiso - Next we drove over to Playa Paraiso, just down the beach from the Ruins of Tulum, which crystal sparkling water.
Chamico’s - By lunchtime we were all very hungry, so we drove over to a place called Chamico’s a spot I had searched out on Google maps. Just from the photos it looked like a place I needed to go, from the relaxing atmosphere to the amazing fresh seafood. It was just as good as I had imagined. The restaurant was right along the beach, breezy, and the Mexican food was amazing. We had a few plates of ceviche, fried fish, and a shrimp cocktail.
Total price (for 4) - 1,180 MXN ($63.53)
Tulum, Mexico, is a true beach paradise, and it’s an amazing place to visit in Mexico. Thank you for watching!

One Day In Tulum, Mexico ❤️ Is it worth it? Mayan Ruins Beach
Today we explore Tulum, a popular spot in Mexico, to see if it's worth the hype. The Tulum Ruins are Mayan Ruins overlooking the beach and...⬇ More Below ✈ Our 220 page guide on how to travel non-stop —
Tulum is one of the most visited places in Mexico, anyone looking into what to do in Tulum would find a load of options, so it's no surprises it's popular. Some of the main things to do are checking out the beaches, nightlife, good vibes, luxury hotels on the beach and the Tulum Ruins. While all of those sound good, the Tulum Ruins were something we've been wanting to check out for a long time.
The Tulum Ruins are Mayan ruins running along the Caribbean sea, 12 metres up on cliffs over looking the beach... spectacular place!
How about the rest of Tulum? It's about as touristy as we expected, but the good news is there is definitely 'zones', so you've still got the chance to see a more local side the town if you really want to. The instagram side of Tulum is interesting and all, but finding local food and seeing that side/zone is more important to us first off!

Coba Maya Ville Tour - Alltournative
For more info about this activity visit
Get cultural. Visit the majestic ruins of Coba, visit an authentic mayan village, and swim in a cenote
If you are interested in discovering authentic Mayan culture then this is the perfect experience for you. This day is less focused on adrenaline and more focused on discovering the cultural side of the Maya. On this cultural adventure you will get an authentic view of how a real community lives today as well as visiting the archeological site of Coba to see how the ancient Maya lived.
Coba is one of the largest Mayan ruins in Mexico. Only a portion of the ruins have been uncovered giving it a very cool Indiana Jones feeling. At Coba you will be toured by an experienced guide who will teach you about this incredible archeological site that dates back to 100 BC. One of the main attractions is climbing the Nohoch Mull pyramid which is the tallest pyramid in the Yucatan Peninsula offering absolutely stunning views of the tropical jungle.
The next stop is to a secluded Mayan Village near the Chabela Lagoon where the present day Maya will teach you about their ancient customs. Here a Mayan Shaman will give you an authentic blessing with copal incense before entering their sacred land. After the blessing you will learn about the local flora and fauna and what the local Maya do to protect their environment. In this traditional village you will be able to learn about the economics of the village including a visit to their local bakery.
As you proceed you will have the option of swimming in an incredible cenote which is a freshwater pool in the jungle with an unforgettable natural setting. After you swim enjoy a typical meal including such delights as hand made tortillas and other traditional regional cuisine.
This is a unique day that will bring you closer to Mayan Culture both past and present. You will come away with an appreciation of how they care for the jungle as well as the natural beauty of the area.
