Vancouver Island Welcomes The Return Of The BC Bike Race
The BC Bike Race is a 7-day mountain bike stage race that explores the best of Canada's west coast. We caught up with the race at Stage 1 in the Cowichan Valley to chat about what they love most about riding on Vancouver Island.
They call it the ultimate singletrack experience, and we couldn't agree more.

Bike the Kettle Valley Railway / Myra Canyon in Kelowna, BC
Visiting Kelowna, BC? Step back in time and ride the rails or rather ride the railway trail. We check out a small portion of the Kettle Valley Railway (aka the KVR) steering our wheels over wooden trestles, through tunnels and past some pretty stunning scenery -- all of which explains why when you're in Kelowna, you have to Bike This!
If you don't have a bike - you can rent one in the parking lot from
***Update: Since shooting this video, a rock slide has made trestles 3 impassable. You can still access the Kettle Valley Trail from Myra Parking Lot and ride to 3 or start at Ruth Station Parking Lot and make the ride to Naramata (just a little less 'epic').

SETTING UP OUR NEW MOUNTAIN BIKES IN VANCOUVER?! // EFRT EP 50
EPIC Family Road Trip Episode 50 // In this episode we spend some time with family in Ontario and the boys get together with their dirt bikes and quads and make a fun little edit of their time. Dad then heads to Gainesville, Florida to meet with world renowned speaker and coach Lou Heckler, while we spend time with our aunt Deb and her family. We then learn how to set up/down our bikes for taking them with us on the plane back to Vancouver, British Columbia at Cycling Elements in Orangeville. Once all the bikes are at the airport we board the flight back to Vancouver after a good week or so back in Ontario. Once we arrive at camp in B.C we begin setting up our new bikes and get to ride them for the first time in nearly 3 months since our old ones were stolen back in Phoenix, Arizona! Stay tuned for next week when we take the rig across from the mainland to Vancouver Island to do some exploring and have some exciting adventures ahead! We also want to wish all of the amazing mothers out there, happy Mother’s Day!

Vancouver STREET END-TO-END WALK: DOWNTOWN CAMBIE Marinaside Cres. to Water St, Gastown Steam Clock
The video starts at the end of Davie Street at Marinaside Crescent, cutting through Aquarius Mews and hitting the start of downtown Cambie Street @ 06:00 minutes in. Cambie actually continues south across the Cambie Bridge but this walk only covers the downtown portion heading north and ending up at Water Street in Gastown at the Steam Clock. Recorded on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, the day of the Gastown Grand Prix bicycle race. (The sun was so bright that day my phone camera had a difficult time adjusting to the intense light and dark shadows.)

Vancouver Seawall Water Walk
A great spot to take in if you're visiting the Coal Harbour area. Very nice seawall to walk along the water. Lots of people enjoy strolling, biking, rollerblading, etc. Some stunning sights but literally a few hundred yards before you reach a more pastoral setting. Million-dollar views!
