We booked a shared charter through Aristocat Charters when we had a port stop in Tortola on our recent Norwegian Bliss Cruise. We sailed on a catamaran out of Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands over to Norman Island and the Indians, where we had 3 snorkel opportunities. This is a video review of the day, what we did and what it was like.

Join us for a quick aerial tour around the inner harbor at Road Town, Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, Caribbean! This is a bay we've spent many years frequenting as it is the central hub of the charter community and where we all return to clean and prepare boats for arriving charter guests.. you will see the new Moorings/Sunsail charter base, the new town cruise ship dock and village being built, and Village Cay Marina which was our home base when doing charters for so many years!
The video was filmed with our Mariner Waterproof Drone, with no gimbal, just a fixed mount GoPro Hero4 in a waterproof case with long-range FPV system upgrade. Original footage is filmed in 4K UltraHD and this video is processed in 1080p for uploading purposes.

British Virgin Islands Sailing - Norman Island, March 2019
Welcome to the channel! This video was taken during a trip to the BVI in March of 2019.
In this video we travel from the frozen Midwestern state of South Dakota in the USA to the tropical British Virgin Islands. We charter a 38 ft Lagoon catamaran with TMM in Tortola and to do some sailing with family and friends. After we get checked out and do some provisioning we head to the Indians to do some snorkeling. We take a mooring in the Bight on Norman Island for our first night and check out the Pirates Bight restaurant and bar.

Tour Charter Yacht Viramar - USVI & BVI Yacht Charter
Hey Castaways! So wow...we just got back from a bloggers sailing trip through the US and British Virgin Islands aboard the charter yacht, Viramar. We made 8-9 stops during our 4 day charter, all super special and now full of memories.
Before we launch into all the video content for all the island stops, food, and activities, let's take a look at Viramar herself. She is a 56ft. Lagoon catamaran crewed by Tyler and Erika Boruff. Erika is the First Mate and Chef, while Tyler is the Captain and activities director. They are a fantastic husband and wife team and know the US and BVI in and out. Tyler and Erika are also dive instructors, so if you are wanting try your hand at diving or are a seasoned diver, they are able to help you explore the underwater world of the VI.
You'll see in this vide a full tour of Viramar.
Virmar has a huge forward deck with trampolines, sitting area, and beanbags. A great spot for stargazing at night with a smooth rum drink in hand.
As you work your way back to the aft, you'll pass the snorkel gear and enter the aft cockpit. This is where most meals are served and a great places to relax.
Virmar has a large flybridge with tons of seating and is covered with a hard top to protect you from the sun and liquid sunshine showers.
Inside you'll find the galley and main salon. All the meals are prepared here and is another great place to relax...with the air conditioning.
Viramar sleeps 8 people. She has a master suite, two main suites, and a bunkbed suite. All with on-suite bathroom and shower, lots of storage, and cold AC.

Who Is RumShopRyan:
Howdy! I’m Ryan and I hail from the land-locked, can’t get any further from the ocean, state of Kansas. I moved to laid back southwest Florida in 2001. I didn’t know a single person and didn’t have a job. Risky I know, but the ocean was calling and I had to answer.
I’m a huge fan of Kansas City sports, so you’ll probably see a lot of Jayhawks, Chiefs and Royals attire in my photos. Kansas City is a great town and I’m glad I’m from there, but the coastal life was calling. It’s kind of like Kenny Chesney’s “island boy” song. Check out the lyrics and you’ll see what I mean.
I write because I’m passionate about the Caribbean and the island lifestyle, and it’s my way to share it with you. If it has anything to do with the Caribbean, rum drinks, beach style music, or Caribbean culture, you’ll be able to find it on this site.
When in the Caribbean you’ll find a camera around my neck and note pad in my pocket. This is how I document the experiences in unique and interesting ways and bring it back to you, the Castaways.
Who is Castaway Crystal:
I was raised in Southwest Florida so it’s no surprise that I have a love for beaches, water and nature. As a child, most weekends were spent fishing in the warm gulf waters on the family boat. As an adult, most weekends are spent soaking up the sun on Ft. Myers Beach. Even though I have always loved the coastal life, I don’t think I fully appreciated it until I moved to Nashville, TN. I’m all about experiencing new things, and as a Licensed Massage Therapist I thought it would be amazing to massage some of Nashville’s biggest stars (a girl can dream right?). But I missed the sun and sand too much—and let’s not forget the rum runners! After a year I couldn’t take it anymore, this sun bunny moved back to her coast of somewhere beautiful.
I’ve always been passionate about photography and writing but my passions never really had a purpose until I met Ryan. I couldn’t be happier being Ryan’s first mate and sharing my photos and stories with you. May they inspire you to go after your tropical dreams and wishes. Make a plan…Set a date…Just go!

US & British Virgin Islands - Part 2
We continue our epic charter trip to the British Virgin Islands. On these two days we travel from the island of Saint Thomas to the island of Tortola. We board our power catamaran at the Moorings base in Road Town and get a very thorough yacht briefing. The second day we head out to Salt Island and Cooper Island. Join us on this grand adventure.
