Excursión a bahía de las águilas, Pedernales - República Dominicana
Hoy haremos un viaje desde santo domingo hasta la provincia pedernales, para conocer Bahía de las águilas, que está considerada como la playa más cristalina del mundo. La distancia que recorreremos es de 307 km y el tiempo que nos tomará llegar a bahía de las águilas es de aproximadamente 5 horas y 13 minutos pero les aseguro que el viaje vale la pena.
Para llegar a pedernales debemos atravesar cuatro provincias que son: San Cristóbal, Baní, Azua y Barahona.
En el trayecto desde santo domingo hasta la provincia pedernales el paisaje predominante es el de un clima de Bosque Seco Subtropical, donde podemos observar muchos cactus y bayahondas.
Barahona posee lo que consideramos son las costas más hermosas de la republica dominicana. Mire la muestra
La playa de bahía de las águilas es considerada virgen, ya que no hay complejos hoteleros en sus cercanías y es muy poca la intervención de la mano del hombre en este lugar.

En este tercer episodio de nuestra segunda temporada los llevamos a recorrer Pederanles, una provincia fronteriza ubicada al suroeste de la República Dominicana. I’m taking you on a journey to my favourite and best beach in Dominican Republic
This video is a 3rd part of my trip from Poland to caribean under 1000 euro

We are driving to the West part of the island and we have to drive trough the capital, driving inside the city is a nightmare and crossing it can take anything from 1 up to 2 hours.
Santo Domingo is a specific city, you can see all sort of things on the road. for example if your air conditioning stop working it is very easy to find on the road somebody who can always fix it for you.
If you tired and thirsty there are always many people on the side of the road which are selling cheap and tasty coconut water
We decided to stop for the night just outside Barahona in hotel el maquito, if you decide to stop for the night on a journey like mine This hotel is a perfect place for you
We are heading back on the road and we still have around 4 hours to go.
Soon we will cross Paradise village in Translation Paraiso
This road is only one to head to West and personally I think this roads have the best views in the world
Im really interested to see how is the living in paradise so I decide to stop by for minutes and visit small hotel at the sea front. I do like it a lot and on my youtube channel you can find a full video from this place.
The location and the views are just amazing, imagine you wake up in the morning and view from your bedroom is like this.
this area is so attractive that shortly we are having another stop by the river. This place is a great example of living here in the area. People after work coming here to jump in to a fresh and cold water to enjoy music and local beer.
This is low populated area and my tip for you is to make sure you have cash with you and you will fill your car in the Barahona area because closer you are to national park there is no atm and no shops available to buy anything.
Finally we have riches the national park area, it is evening time and it is too late to go to Bahia de las aguilas beach so tomorrow morning we will go early these boats are for hire and price is including a person which will take you there. Tonight is going to be my first domino game and apparently im good because im always winning.
This eco place offers all tents located just a few steps from the water front. i have to say that views are even better in the morning, the beach is so clean and water crystal clear. My dream is to have a house on a beach, with peace and quiet and living with a bond with nature. Some say the dreams are coming true. As you see most of the furniture here are made simple and from natural materials. Even a bar is eco friendly. there is few places here to sit down and relax and this is what im going to do now.
Green Bananas Mangu with onion, caribbean type salami, eggs and bread. I strongly believe this is one of the best places to sit down and eat your breakfast. im going to enjoy my breakfast and you enjoy the views from the drone.
This is my favourite beach and is ticking all the boxes for me, crystal clear water, far away from everywhere and if the turtles are here this is just a confirmation that we are 100% in the nature.
Today is also our lucky day and we meet people who decide to share some food with us

Nuestro recorrido por gran parte de la República Dominican nos ha premiado con una hermosa última parada en lo que muchos llaman la playa más cristalina del mundo: Bahía de las Aguilas. Aquí finaliza esta primera serie de videos en RD, pero ciertamente vendrá la segunda parte con muchas más aventuras y joyas.
Estos últimos audiovisuales me llenan de mucha satisfacción por haber podido resaltar muchas de las cosas positivas de un país que a pesar de sus defectos (como cualquier otro) es maravilloso.

Pedernales - Bahía de Las Águilas
Pedernales, Dominican Republic.- The long wait by residents of Pedernales province (southwest) starts to bear fruit and despite specifics as to when the projects cited in the Tourism Sector Land Management Plan (POTT) will begin, Tourism Ministry Planning director Plan Maribel Villalona affirms it’ll be soon.
The POTT projection, disclosed by the government last week, looks to exploit the province’s beautify developing high end tourism, to preserve the ecosystem and nature’s reserves, including the country’s most pristine beach, Bahia de las Aguilas..
Villalona, quoted by local media, says the Plan establishes zoning and regulated designs along the 14-kilometer coastline from Pedernales to the village La Cueva de Cabo Rojo.
She said a fund will be established to attract construction investment for hotels and restaurants along Pedernales’ oceanfront. It's an area that will now receive requests for investment and evaluate them through the trust from a financial point of view.
She revealed that at least 10 local and foreign investors are interested in forming part of the Plan.
Villalona said among the list of projects figure a revamp of the existing airport or construction of a new one to receive larger planes, reconstruction of Cabo Rojo Port, which was until now used to ship bauxite, to be used for tourism and freight service, and other facilities typical of a tourist town.
