Barcelona | Day Trip To Montserrat And Sitges
Another day trip! This time Camino School took their students to wonderful towns of Montserrat and Sitges.
Montserrat is a spectacularly beautiful Benedictine monk mountain retreat about one hour North West from Barcelona.
Not only is Montserrat Monastery of significant religious importance but the natural beauty surrounding the monastery is simply breathtaking.
We walked through the mountains and experienced magnificent views of some of the most unusual rock formations in the whole of Catalonia. Managed to get some cool shots with my drone!
Sitges is a beautiful beach town with 17 beaches in total. All really sandy with beautiful clear mediterranean water.
Hope you enjoy the vlog- STAY TUNED for more Vinnie B Presents!

We did lose some footage for this vlog (as you'll be able to tell) but hopefully it's still enjoyable! xx

Day trip to Montserrat from Barcelona
Take a Road Trip up the Mountain to the Monastery of Montserrat Spain. Explore the beauty of this holy place & experience great views.
Montserrat is about 40 km north-west of Barcelona. Montserrat is at the same time name of the monastery and of sand stone mountains. It is one of the landmarks of Catalonia. The highest peak, Sant Jeroni is 1,236 m high. From Barcelona we go by train in about 30 minutes to the lower cableway station, built 1930 by the Leipzig company Adolf Bleichert & Co. A cable car takes us up to the monastery of Montserrat, which is located at an altitude of 720 m.
Apart from the cable car, there is a winding road and since 2003 a rack railway to the monastery. From there you can take a funicular railway to the summit of the mountain. Another funicular railway brings you down to the holy cave where the dark Madonna, since 1880 the patron saint of Catalonia, was allegedly found.
Of course, the mountain can also be reached by foot over steep trails.

A Weekend in Barcelona + Day Trip to Montserrat
Here are highlights from my weekend in Barcelona, Spain. I spent Martin Luther King Weekend in Barcelona and stayed at the Ofelias Hotel outside of Espanya Station. In addition to seeing Gaudi's Masterpieces, I took a Day Trip to Montserrat and took a hike up to Sant Jeroni. Have you been to Barcelona before?

Best Day Trips From Barcelona, Spain - Mountains Of Montserrat - Black Medona | Epi: 13 | Irem Ozel
Hello Everyone, hope you enjoy my weekly Vlogs.
Inspiring video's about Life style, and Travelling.
Montserrat is a charming mountain range located 45km from Barcelona. Day trip to Montserrat is very popular so it would be great to go there early to capture the monastery in the beautiful golden light. From the train trip to get there to the cable car ride up, truly an incredible experience! Make sure to give yourself the whole day, if you love to explore, and hike around you’ll need that time. Tickets can be purchased from Placa d'Espanya metro station or like I did from the information office for the bus tours.
Inside the Montserrat Abbey, the queue to see the black Madonna might be long but I would say this would be 5-stars for religious pilgrims mainly because of the black virgin statue that you can experience - there is a queue for this so start early if you want to touch the statue. There is also a choir performance every 1PM for about 15 minutes (looks seasonal so please check). The abbey was serene and beautiful, as was the candle stations located just after the exit from the abbey. The highlight of this place are definitely the hiking trails for me and loved the funiculars up to Sant Joan. Cafeteria was super busy and the wine tasting is great (if u r into drinking).
I still regret taking an hour and a half tour as there were many things I could not do. Also do check the weather before going and do not be drenched like I was due to bad weather.

Medieval Vic - Day Trip from Barcelona Vlog (Catalonia, Spain)
Vic's location is only 69 km from Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain), and me and my friend Robert decide to visit it as we have heard many good things about this little medieval town. It is quite an ancient town, with a Roman temple in the heart of it, and many other historical curiosities. We are quite pleased with the trip, and the town is definitely worth a visit, especially being so close to Barcelona.
