Birdland Park and Gardens, in Bourton-on-the-Water, is home to one of the largest collections of exotic birds in the UK.
Located in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds, the park’s magical combination of wildlife, woodland, riverside and gardens makes it the perfect day out.
Birdland cares a wide variety of birds ranging from the UK’s only breeding colony of king penguins and awesome birds of prey to parrots, cassowaries and cranes in a mix of free-flying and aviary displays.
The park also incorporates indoor enclosures for a variety of exotic birds and other wildlife alongside a host of other features and attractions; including the dinosaur-themed Jurassic Journey.
Journey back in time to when dinosaurs roamed the Cotswolds, more than 65 million years ago and embark on a fascinating expedition discovering life-size dinosaurs.

Having recently discovered that Emperor Penguins are, in fact, NOT people sized, my partner treated me to a trip to Birdland at Bourton on the Water to see them, and many other birds, up close!
Oh! And there were even dinosaurs!

The Model Village (A Brief Visual Tour) - Bourton-on-the-Water, United Kingdom.
The famous Bourton-on-the-Water Model Village is the only grade II listed model village in the country and is a one-ninth scale model of the centre of the beautiful cotswold village, opened in 1937.
It contain all the buildings from the Old Water Mill (now the Car Museum) down to the Old New Inn and the ford, all built in Cotswold stone.

????BOURTON-ON-THE-WATER | COTSWOLDS TRIP ENGLAND VANLIFE!!????
We're going to the famous, Bourton-On-The-Water! This village is supposedly one of the main attractions of the Cotswolds so we are excited to go and explore it.
Bourton-On-The-Water is so-called The Venice of the Cotswolds I guess it's because of a stream running through it with bridges over it. The village itself is an attraction of its own, it's a beautiful setting with lovely English architecture and plenty of gift shops lol too many gift shops. It felt almost like a village in Disneyland, where people don't reside there's just shops and restaurants.
We had lunch in the van with some local produce that we bought, before heading off to our campsite for the night. And what a lovely campsite it is! In the middle of the countryside surrounded by fields and the whole camping pitch to ourselves! I guess we're off season so it's not ever going to be busy lol but its lovely and quiet and looking forward to a peaceful night sleep in the van! :D

We explored as much as we could of this cute village before the rain got the better of us and we said goodbye to Bourton-On-The-Water.

The Cotswold Motoring Museum features vintage cars and a toy collection. Birdland is home to species including parrots, owls and king penguins, plus life-size model dinosaurs. The Model Village is a 1930s scale replica of the village.

Bourton On The Water The Venice of the Cotswolds.
The village of Bourton-on-the-Water In Gloucestershire is known for its picturesque High Street, flanked by long wide greens and the River Windrush that runs through them. The river is crossed by several low, arched stone bridges. These arched bridges have led to Bourton-on-the-Water being called the Venice of the Cotswolds.
