This Mosque plays a very central role for the Muslims of Birmingham particularly, but the Muslims of UK at large. And we play a very crucial part and therefore I think it is also our duty that we should look after those poor sections of our community who are homeless at this time and we should at least provide them a hot meal during this festive season.

You're homeless and you've got different reasons of why you're homeless and maybe got different addictions or whatever that's caused by homelessness. You don't judge them. They are still human beings, they still have feelings. So I think it is very important to know that there are people out there that do care and don't judge them. Stuff like that. That's what I think. Maybe some people disagree but this is what I think.

No other church or community has opened up like the Mosque has today. Nobody else has. I know a few people have been going round the streets over Christmas. But that's just at Christmas. People are homeless all year round.
