The Black Dragon Canyon in Utah
When we got halfway through the state on I-70, (or I-80) that's when the scenery started to liven up. It was absolutely gorgeous, but the altitude was high and we couldn't catch our breath because we were laughing at how winded we were!
Green River State Park, Green River, Utah
An oasis on the west bank of the Green River is where you'll find yourself resting in the shade of the tall cottonwood trees and lush green lawns.
The park is a starting point for boaters adventuring through Labyrinth and Stillwater canyons. It is also a great base camp for seeing scenic Southeastern Utah with easy access o I-70 (detailed on page 24). The park sports a nine hole golf course with meandering fairways, lakes, and sand traps which makes this a favorite for golfers of all ages and skill levels.

Offroading in Wyoming 2003!
Fun times back in College, the winter of 2003. Out wheeling in -25degrees with the wind at 45-55mph lol! Awesome times!
Goblin Valley San Rafael Swell - Waterfall Trail Part 1
In part one, we venture down the Waterfall Trail starting at the Bottom. We made a terrible mistake. My bike kept overheating, and it was brand new to me so I kept stalling on easy obstacles. Did we continue anyways? You betcha.

Tue Aug 8 - Day 4 Three Step (La Sal UT - Ferron UT
Great night at the 3 step. Took the hard line up Geyser pass and had my first get off. Stu made it up with no problems. The ride down into Moab was spectacular scenery. I went out on slickrock but ran into another TATer having some problems on a bigger bike a few miles in. Stu and I worked with Brad to get him lined up for the exit out of the wash he was in, and did it again a while later (in video). The extra activities heated me up and I bailed while Stu did some more of slickrock. In Moab we ate and headed out to Green River. Once off the highway you get a real nice climb and some good riding up on a mesa for 10 to 15 miles. After that it is just moderate to high speed gravel in the heat to Green River, worst part of the day. We headed out of Green River at 5:00. I was not feeling the best so I opted for the green line to stay on schedule. I'm glad I did, and had a great ride out on the green line, some really fun washes, rocks, and sand for the first hour. The deep ruts in the hard pack provided plenty of action to get a proper attitude back. I was happy for no rain for that part. High speed gravel for the next hour and stayed at Gillies in Ferron, no gas in town.
232 miles
Wed Aug 9 - Day 5 Ferron UT - Kanosh
Ferron to Emery was a fast 12 miles on slab. Gassed up in Emery. A few miles out of Emery you turn off the slab and start to climb. Weather was good and the trail was a mix of hard pack and rocks. As we climbed it became apparent that it had recently rained, and the trail turned to mud and rock. The trail turned from forest road to an ATV trail. Stu said with a happy tone this looks interesting, and it was. Fortunately for me there were more rock sections than mud; however, I made it through with only one get off. I didn't get too worked up about it as the sun was shining and up there the temps were cool. It took several hours to get to Richfield with no doldrums. Out of Richfield to Kanosh there was more great riding, and the mud had all but dried up. It was a low miles day as there was minimal fast gravel. Tomorrow it is Baker NV and beyond.
154 miles

Thu Aug 10 - Day 6 Kanosh - Lund
Had an early start out of Kanosh; loaded up the bikes in the dark and headed out at sunrise. A little bit of fun stuff to start off turned into fast gravel for the ride to Baker. We did the 125 mile run in well under 3 hours. Baker to Lund was a mix of everything. My favorite part was about midway to Lund, you make your way through a juniper and pinion stand following a wash with no discernible trail (that part will be in the NV video). Just follow the blue line. The rest of the ride was varied and kept my attention. Baker to Lund was very good run.
Miles 250.
Chasm View - Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Colorado
Here are all the videos from our EPIC 2,500 Mile Road Trip from North Carolina to Denver, Colorado through the Eisenhower Tunnel to Utah and then past Arches National Park and down to Monument Valley and then to stay at Flagstaff before getting up and watching the sunrise at the Grand Canyon, driving past Hoover Dam and Las Vegas on our way to see Death Valley National Park in California! On the way back, we drove past the Valley of Fire in Nevada and Zion National Park in Utah before crossing the most isolated stretch of Interstate in the country, I-70 between Salina and Green River in Utah! There we hiked on the Sand Bench and San Rafael Swell before heading back through the Rocky Mountains back to Denver to fly home to North Carolina! :D Thank you for watching! Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

This timeline of United States government military operations is based on the Committee on International Relations (now known as the U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs). Dates show the years in which U.S. government military units participated. Items in bold are the U.S. government wars most often considered to be major conflicts by historians and the general public. Note that instances where the U.S. government gave aid alone, with no military personnel involvement, are excluded, as are Central Intelligence Agency operations.

The Edge of Uncertainty - The Successful Mind Podcast Ep. 155
I came across Chef Francis Mallmann several years ago while watching Chef's Table on Netflix. I was completely enamored with his personality and his career. The episode itself, which is a brief introduction into his life, how he travels, where he lives, his hideaway on this island in Patagonia, and it's a very romantic episode that touched me deeply. One of the things I admire most about Mallmann is how he has chosen to live his life, forge his own path, and do what his heart is telling him to do.
It's this lust for life itself and to really feel it and breathe it in the depth of our soul that is the focus of today’s episode. As Mallmann eloquently stated, You don't grow on a secure path. All of us should conquer something in life and it needs a lot of work and it needs a lot of risk. In order to grow and to improve, you have to be there a bit at the edge of uncertainty.” It is this exploration of your edge of uncertainty that will lead to the desire in your soul to be free and to experience all that life has to offer.
