The swell wasn't big on this day, but you can still get an idea of it. During storm season, these point breaks are supposed to be amazing and you can have them nearly all to yourself. Busua is a beach resort and fishing village in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region in Ghana, about 30 kilometers west of the regional capital, Sekondi-Takoradi in the Gulf of Guinea. Busua is classified in the category of towns with more than 5,000 inhabitants, with a paved road from Sekondi to reach the town. Charles is the head surf instructor for Black Star Surf (surfshop, surf tours and surf camps) yet has only been surfing for 2+ years. Our other video (Black Star Surfers) shows him surfing on his first day. It is truly amazing how quickly he has become a good surfer!

Between the end of my internship at a natural resource trading company and the start at my new school I had a gap of approximately three months. So I decided to go traveling for a bit longer than two months. During this time I met so many great, fun, awesome and inspiring people and built some great friendships which will for sure hold for ever!
The purpose of this trip was to get away for the everyday life and to experience and gather new experiences. I left also because I felt extremely disconnected from the social world at home and got bored with the everyday life. Since I came back from living in Delhi, India for 6 months I have been hungry for daring and exciting adventures.
I would like to thank the company for letting me do my internship with them and therefore indirectly sponsoring the trip. I would also like to thank my family for supporting me during the good and bad times (for example when nearly all my camera equipment got stolen in Ghana) and Peter Ansah for making the time in Ghana a fun experience everyday.
Well enough of the sentimental talk. I hope you enjoy the movie.
