Δεν έχει ξαναγίνει. Πέντε νίκες σε ισάριθμα ματς ουδέποτε είχε πανηγυρίσει το ελληνικό ποδόσφαιρο. Λάρισα, Πανιώνιος, ΑΕΚ, Παναθηναϊκός και Άρης (κατά σειρά) νίκησαν και μας γέμισαν βαθμούς και...ελπίδες ότι στους ομίλους θα έχουμε πολλή Ελλάδα!
Την αρχή έκανε η Λάρισα, που παίζοντας εντυπωσιακό ποδόσφαιρο, μάλλον αδικείται από το τελικό 2-0 κόντρα στην Μπλάκμπερν. Οι Θεσσαλοί έκαναν ό,τι ήθελαν τους Άγγλους και με σκόρερ τους Μπακαγιόκο και Κλέιτον, έβαλαν υποθήκη πρόκρισης, χάνοντας (στο δεύτερο ημίχρονο) πολλές κλασικές ευκαιρίες και για τρίτο γκολ.
Όχι μόνο δεν φοβήθηκε την Μπλάκμπερν, αλλά το τελικό 2-0, μάλλον αδικεί την Λάρισα, που έκανε εξαιρετική εμφάνιση στο Πανθεσσαλικό Στάδιο και έθεσε υποθήκη πρόκρισης σε βάρος της αγγλικής ομάδας, που είναι αήττητη στην Πρέμιερσιπ!
O Μπακαγιόκο και ο Κλέιτον, οι σκόρερ της ελληνικής ομάδας που έχασε πολλές ευκαιρίες και για τρίτο γκολ και ατέλειωτο πανηγύρι στον κάμπο!

There are one ore two exceptions but the majority of Blackburn fans was very kind with AEL Larissa.I appreciate that and it is an honour for us and for them too of course.

cant believe that larissa finished 10th in their league!! the only reason they are in it is because if winning their cup
We finished 9th and didn't win any cups...
crap. all that ra-ra to finishing 10th and getting into inter-toto are all undone by that nightmarish night in Greece
For years I've been switching the channel, turning off the volume or just not daring to look whenever scores or some news about the Turkish championship were displayed. I guess I'll have to start doing the same with the Greek one...
And to top it up I have a colleague at work and her name is...Larissa!! Imagine how my heart will sink every time I hear someone calling her!!!
I went down tonight and took my niece, after she begged to go. Very decent attendance and for me the atmosphere was excellent all the game through - though we were sat in the Darren End, next to the (admittedly brilliant) Larissa supporters.
They barely stopped to breathe all game and appeared to act impeccibly.
Also our drummers could learn a thing or two from their guy, he was pretty ace too.
Those Greeks are a very good team and their manager got his tactics right, shame ours didn't!
credit to larissa tho, everytime they attacked they looked good...
Georgios Donis, well done for puzzling together a team like that. You cant knock him for his accomplishments. Promotions, beating Panathinaikos in the Cup final last year, and now pitting a PremierShip side, and coming out on top, is no easy task!
Well done their supporters for coming out and supporting Larissa too! Great turn out!
Credit to their fans for singing all the way through. To the young Rovers fans who were in the Jack Walker Lower Right Hand sections, it's all well and good gesticulating and giving their fans two fingers, do you think they're bothered? They've just beaten a Premiership side, you just looked juvenile, but then again you are, you'll learn hopefully.
I was impressed with Larissa. They may be rated lowly, but they were tight and solid in defence, could maintain possession through midfield and always carried a threat up front. When they had possession we had to work very hard to get the ball back. When we had possession, we just gave it away.
Good luck to Larissa, by far the better team over the two legs, fully deserve to go through and hats off to their fans, they never shut up.
Well Played Larissa is all i will say..Good luck to you guys, i hope you go on and win the competition !
