DAY IN OUR HAWAII LIFE | BOATING WITH FRIENDS | ELECTRIC BEACH | OAHU
Work hard, play hard! We are blessed to have friends who enjoy gathering us up to help both clean the bottom of their boat and enjoy a day on the beautiful blue Hawaiian waters. Our day on the water led us to the West side of the island, out of Ko'Olina Marina, anchored by Electric Beach. SO MANY beautiful fish, turtles and I even tried sea urchin for the first time -- delicious!
If you want a personal diving (SCUBA) experience like no other, be sure to hit up Honolulu Honu Divers. Tell Hector I sent ya!

THE BLUE HAWAIIAN DIFFERENCE There's simply no argument: Blue Hawaiian is Hawaii's #1 helicopter tour company. Blue Hawaiian's aircraft maintenance technicians have received the FAA's coveted Certificate of Excellence, Diamond Award every year since 1998. No other helicopter tour company in Hawaii has ever received this critical recognition. Blue Hawaiian was honored by the FAA for its record 12th straight year in January, 2009, at a ceremony in Honolulu, and the FAA further honored Blue Hawaiian with the very first Certificate of Excellence, Platinum Award. And Blue Hawaiian is the only helicopter tour company in Hawaii certified by the Department of Defense.
Welcome to the Blue Skies of Hawaii. Blue is the only helicopter tour company serving all four major Hawaiian islands: Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island. That means wherever you go in the Islands of Aloha, you know exactly how to get the world's finest aerial tours: just remember the color of the sky.
We don't just operate the best equipment, we help develop it. From the ultra-quiet, spacious, and powerful 21st-century Eco-Star helicopter to the breakthrough Garmin G500H technology, which gives our pilots astonishing three-dimensional synthetic vision terrain awareness in less than optimal weather; from our pioneering of multi-camera in-flight video, to designing vastly improved cockpit air-conditioning—Blue Hawaiian is always at the forefront of leading-edge innovations for your safety, comfort, and enjoyment. Because when it comes to our guests, good enough is never enough.
The finest pilots in the sky. Blue Hawaiian prides itself on hand-picking only the finest and most experienced pilots—the absolute cream of the profession—and every one of them is a State of Hawaii Certified Tour Guide. Blue Hawaiian is also the only helicopter tour company in Hawaii with its own state-of-the-art Flight Simulator, and the only one that puts its pilots through annual factory and FAA recurrent training.
Exploring Oahu, Hawaii Part 1 Byodo In Temple & Sunset Photo Tour May 2019
Join my husband Noel and I as we catch the local bus from Waikiki, for a 90-minute ride to visit the Byodo-in Temple, located at the Valley of the Temples Memorial Park, Kahaluu, O’ahu, Hawaii.
The Byodo-in Temple is a smaller-scale replica of the over 950-year-old Boyodo-in Temple, a United Nations World Heritage Site in Uji, Japan.
We spent a few hours here soaking up the beautiful, calming atmosphere. To find out more about the Byodo-In, a link to the official website is below:
This video also highlights the wonderful sights of Oahu at Sunset, when we also joined a small group photography tour. We enjoyed many sights around the eastern coastal areas of the island, as well as a drive to the top of a National Park called Pu’u ‘Ualaka’a State Wayside. Here we took in the beautiful, panoramic views of southern Oahu from Diamond Head to Pearl Harbor.
Finally, our day ended at Magic Island, where we reveled in the beautiful sunset views from this very popular park in Waikiki. Enjoy!
Please note, this video is NOT sponsored, but I really enjoyed my Sunset photo tour with this company (ask to do a tour with Patti). So, if you are in Hawaii and looking to do a fantastic photo tour, visit the official website of Blue Hawaii Photo Tours below for details:

Fly-around tour of the island
O‘ahu (pronounced [oˈʔɐhu], anglicized Oahu /oʊˈɑːhuː/), known as The Gathering Place, is the third-largest of the Hawaiian Islands. It is home to about two-thirds of the population of the U.S. state of Hawai‘i. The state capital, Honolulu, is on O‘ahu's southeast coast. Including small associated islands such as Ford Island and the islands in Kāneʻohe Bay and off the eastern (windward) coast, its area is 596.7 square miles (1,545.4 km2), making it the 20th-largest island in the United States.[1]
O‘ahu is 44 miles (71 km) long and 30 miles (48 km) across. Its shoreline is 227 miles (365 km) long. The island is composed of two separate shield volcanoes: the Wai‘anae and Koʻolau Ranges, with a broad valley or saddle (the central O‘ahu Plain) between them. The highest point is Kaʻala in the Wai‘anae Range, rising to 4,003 feet (1,220 m) above sea level.[2]travel,

Special Hawaiian Attractions Available on Oahu
The island of Oahu isn't really just about the incredible beaches, warm sand, and cool volcanic sights. Oahu has a lot more to offer as a vacation destination! When you book a trip with Discover Hawaii Network, you'll have a remarkable variety of tour alternatives offered to you that show you lesser-knwon spots on the island of Oahu. You'll be astonished at all things to do on Oahu!
Kualoa Ranch is a leisure area that is not to be missed while you go to Oahu. Kualoa Valley, where the cattle ranch is located, has a genuinely incredible history. The valley was as soon as a blessed place for rest and royal training for old Hawaiians and was offered to a missionary in 1805. Throughout its long history, it has actually been used as a sugar mill, a cattle ranch, and even a military airstrip during World War II. With Discover Hawaii Network, you can select your trip alternative as well as the activities you take part in while at Kualoa Ranch. For example, climb on an ATV for an off-road experience throughout Kualoa Valley and near the working ranches that still operates there. If you choose to do some sightseeing, you can check out the sites where well-known TV programs and motion pictures were shot such as Lost, Jurassic Park, and 50 First Dates.
The dolphin tours provided with Discover Hawaii Network are another of the many Oahu tourist destinations that you want to make sure to see while on your Hawaiian getaway. There are three choices offered for seeing dolphins and a variety of trips provided. The first choice is to climb up aboard a boat and going onto the large, open blue ocean for a snorkeling experience. Tours such as the Oahu Wild Dolphin Snorkel Swim will take you out to the dolphin play grounds simply off the coastline of Oahu. Utilizing the snorkeling equipment supplied, you can watch the dolphins play and you can swim in the ocean waters with them. The other option available to all prospects is to select one of Discover Hawaii Network' options at Sea Life Park. Right here, you can find out about dolphins as well as jump in the water to swim with them. In addition to the dolphins, you can also go to the sea lions, sharks, and rays on your visit and find out more about Hawaiian aquatic life at the Reef Aquarium and Ocean Theater.
Don't miss your possibility to experience any of these exciting tour options. You'll never ever forget the time you spent on an ATV or out in the waters with dolphins. These trips are popular and fill up quickly, so make certain that you get your tickets today !?

Absolutely worth every penny. Emery was a great pilot and tour guide. Can't wait for our next visit to do another part of the islands
I am continually impressed with the professionalism of Blue Hawaiian. Your operations set the standard for helicopter tours for safety and precision. Well done.
Erik and the staff were fantastic and the tour was AMAZING!!! Extraordinary way to see the island. I highly recommend it. I wanted to go right back up.
Welcome to the Blue Skies of Hawaii. Blue is the only helicopter tour company serving all four major Hawaiian islands: Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island. You'll be a star, or at least fly like one. When you choose Blue, you're choosing Hollywood's first-call helicopter tour company for blockbuster aerial photography. In addition to the upcoming mega-releases Battleship and Pirates of the Caribbean IV, our pilots have flown aerial photography for Jurassic Park, Jurassic Park: The Lost World, Tropic Thunder, Pirates of the Caribbean III, Crimson Tide, George of the Jungle, Honeymoon in Vegas, and numerous other major motion pictures, not to mention television shoots for MTV, The Food Channel, National Geographic, the Weather Channel, Wheel of Fortune and more. If these top professionals trust Blue Hawaiian with their multi-million dollar productions, perhaps Hollywood knows something you should know?
Living Aloha, every day. All of us in Hawaii have a responsibility to uphold the islands' proud tradition of hospitality. Years ago, the late cultural pioneer George Kanahele (author of Ku Kanaka: Stand Tall) showed us the incredible potential of using our helicopters as flying classrooms. We took that mission very seriously and since then have invested in Hawaiiana education for all of our employees. Our pilots offer our guests insightful and accurate information about Hawaiian culture, flora and fauna, history, geology and place names. Our guests are able to ask their pilot questions through our proprietary two-way in-flight communication system, which enhances their involvement, and when they share their knowledge with their friends and family upon returning home, the outreach extends. It's an honor to do our part to help preserve Hawaii's precious native culture.
You don't have to take our word for it. Only Blue gives you the confidence of consistent and repeated endorsements and awards from the most important international, national, and local organizations in the travel industry: National Geographic Magazine, Frommer's Hawaii, The Travel Channel; the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences, the Tour Operators Program of Safety, Helicopters Association International, and more. Blue Hawaiian is also the local Hawaii favorite, regularly voted the #1 Air Tour by the local readers of Hawaii Tribune-Herald, West Hawaii Today, North Hawaii News, Kauai People and MidWeek Kauai, and The Maui News.

There is so much to do that you may not be able to see everything on one visit. My first visit to Oahu Hawaii was at the end of a Hawaiian cruise from Vancouver British Columbia Canada. My ship visited the four major islands and the cruise ended in Honolulu us to stay a couple of nights so we would have plenty of time to circle the island.
Some of the most popular attractions on Oahu Hawaii are Waikiki Beach, hiking up Diamond Head, Visiting the royal palace, the Pearl Harbor Arizona Memorial, And the main surfing beaches on the North Shore which offers some of the best surfing in the world.
Everyone has their favorite Hawaiian island for a variety of reasons. This was my first time to the islands so I felt fortunate to be able to see all four of the main islands and make up my mind for myself. Just about everyone that has been to the Islands told me Maui was the best and that Oahu was crowded, expensive and

Hawaii (1967)
Hawaii, United States of America (USA).
Various shots show middle-aged Hawaiian women in flowery dresses and hats playing guitars and ukuleles while hula girls in grass skirts dance before them. Elderly women sit on mats in a village and thread flower garlands (leis) and weave mats. A Hawaiian man and woman travel down a water lily-covered river in a traditional boat (he paddles it along). Several shots show an unnamed city; a car park (!); American and Hawaiian flags flying; an open air shopping mall called Ala Moana.
At Sea Life Park on the island of Oahu we see several shots of dolphins, porpoises and whales being fed in a large lake enclosure; spectators watch from a pirate boat moored in the enclosure; more sit beside the lake and watch the creatures do tricks. M/S of the exterior of Ilikai Hotel; L/S of the view over the waterfront and harbour as we go up in the glass lift. Views of the sea and swimming pool from high up in the hotel. Various beach shots: palm trees, western sunbathing girls in bikinis (with orange tans), Hawaiian girls frolic in the waves, men surfing on the waves.
We take a boat trip out of the harbour with three young men - the sea is so blue! L/Ss of the coast and Diamond Head mountain. L/S of a Pan Am aeroplane coming in to land at Honolulu Airport; passengers coming off the plane are greeted with a lei (flower garland) and a kiss from Hawaiian girls. In a waterside garden two hula girls decorate a boat with leis; three hula girls in patterned skirts do a traditional dance.
Several shots show a Luau - a Hawaiian feast somewhat like a huge barbecue - at dusk beside a hotel; two men carry a roasted pig on a stretcher through the seated crowd. Commentator says the pigs are roasted in an underground oven with sweet potatoes and pineapple - mmm! L/S of a beach and coastline at dusk / twilight. I want to be here!
Cuts exist - see separate record.
