St. Ivеѕ was fіrѕt іnсоrроrаtеd as a rеѕult of a rоуаl charter in 1639. It has bееn rеgаrdеd, as late аѕ 2007, аѕ thе best ѕеаѕіdе rеѕоrt, ѕо nаmеd bу thе Guаrdіаn nеwѕрареr. It іѕ аlѕо hоmе to a lаrgе number of artists and аrtіѕаnѕ. Thе origins оf thе tоwn'ѕ nаmе аrе thоught tо go bасk tо thе 5th century Irish saint Iа оf Cornwall. Thеrе is a parish сhurсh іn thе tоwn bearing thіѕ personage's nаmе.
The town gаіnеd a rоbuѕt lіfе in 1877 whеn thе railway was laid down. In the fіrѕt thіrd оf the 20th сеnturу, St. Ivеѕ bесаmе аttrасtіvе tо mаnу рорulаr Cоrnwаll artists, with ѕеvеrаl оf them lаtеr mаkіng the tоwn hоmе. There is a branch оf a fаmоuѕ аrt gаllеrу іn St. Ivеѕ, fіrѕt ореnеd in 1993. Thеrе аrе also a number оf popular fеѕtіvаlѕ which drаw реорlе from аll аrоund Cornwall аnd the соuntrу.
The соuntу оf Cоrnwаll, іn whісh St. Ivеѕ resides, has a сurrеnt рорulаtіоn оf around 532,000 реорlе. It іѕ bоundеd by thе Atlantic Ocean іn thе nоrth аnd thе Englіѕh Channel in thе ѕоuth, ѕіttіng as it dоеѕ оn a реnіnѕulа. Itѕ еаѕtеrn border аbutѕ thе соuntу оf Dеvоn. St Ives, Cornwall
St Ives is a seaside town, civil parish and port in Cornwall, England. The town lies north of Penzance and west of Camborne on the coast of the Celtic Sea. In former times it was commercially dependent on fishing. The decline in fishing, however, caused a shift in commercial emphasis, and the town is now primarily a popular holiday resort, notably achieving the title of Best UK Seaside Town from the British Travel Awards in both 2010 and 2011. St Ives was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1639. St Ives has become renowned for its number of artists. It was named best seaside town of 2007 by the Guardian newspaper. It should not be confused with St Ive, a village and civil parish in south-east Cornwall.

Cromer Surge 2013; The Morning After.
The GREAT DECEMBER SURGE and the trail of destruction left around CROMER PIER, in NORFOLK, UNITED KINGDOM. Joi Joi for Actionmoviecromer spent the preceding afternoon on the PIER and seafront, then the whole evening with CROMER LIFEBOAT CREWS by the INSHORE LIFEBOAT HOUSE on the EAST BEACH, and filmed the SURGE as it grew into it's ferocious intensity. This FILM is part of a series including those in my ASSOCIATION with ANDREAS YIASIMI of 'NORFOLK GEM MAGAZINE TELEVISION', an online magazine for the NORTH NORFOLK area. The WALK THROUGH narration in this video is provided totally unrehearesed, by RESTAURATEUR and PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER, ANDREAS YIASIMI, and shot 1st take as we walked for the first time along CROMER SEAFRONT around MIDDAY succeeding the 1st and 2nd SURGES. The two N.G.M. T.V. Films, one on the CROMER DESTRUCTION, and the other spotlighting the devastation at WALCOTT and BACTON can be seen on YouTube at 'Norfolk Gem Magazine' and it's twin Facebook Page. My first INDEPENDENT CROMER SURGE VIDEO, showing the CROMER PAVILLION SHOW audience struggling against the wind as they left the FINAL SHOW only an HOUR before the PIER was EVACUATED, can also be seen on my YouTube Channel; Actionmoviecromer. Featuring in this video is an interview with the STAR of the CHRISTMAS SHOW, the LOVABLY POPULAR NORFOLK ENTERTAINER, OLLY DAY, whose defiant words are straight from THE SUPER TROUPERS handbook...........THE SHOW MUST GO ON........and about a week later, IT DID JUST THAT. CONGRATULATIONS to ALL INVOLVED IN RESTORING THE SPIRIT TO CROMER SEAFRONT and especially, 'THE GEM OF THE NORFOLK COAST..CROMER PIER.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
Yale University is an American private Ivy League research university in New Haven, Connecticut. Founded in 1701, it is the third-oldest institution of higher education in the United States and one of the nine Colonial Colleges chartered before the American Revolution.Chartered by Connecticut Colony, the Collegiate School was established by clergy to educate Congregational ministers. It moved to New Haven in 1716 and shortly after was renamed Yale College in recognition of a gift from British East India Company governor Elihu Yale. Originally restricted to theology and sacred languages, the curriculum began to incorporate humanities and sciences by the time of the American Revolution. In the 19th century, the college expanded into graduate and professional instruction, awarding the first Ph.D. in the United States in 1861 and organizing as a university in 1887. Its faculty and student populations grew after 1890 with rapid expansion of the physical campus and scientific research.
Yale is organized into fourteen constituent schools: the original undergraduate college, the Yale Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and twelve professional schools. While the university is governed by the Yale Corporation, each school's faculty oversees its curriculum and degree programs. In addition to a central campus in downtown New Haven, the University owns athletic facilities in western New Haven, a campus in West Haven, Connecticut and forest and nature preserves throughout New England. The university's assets include an endowment valued at $29.4 billion as of October 2018, the second largest endowment of any educational institution in the world. The Yale University Library, serving all constituent schools, holds more than 15 million volumes and is the third-largest academic library in the United States.Yale College undergraduates follow a liberal arts curriculum with departmental majors and are organized into a social system of residential colleges. Almost all faculty teach undergraduate courses, more than 2,000 of which are offered annually. Students compete intercollegiately as the Yale Bulldogs in the NCAA Division I – Ivy League.
As of October 2018, 61 Nobel laureates, 5 Fields Medalists and 3 Turing award winners have been affiliated with Yale University. In addition, Yale has graduated many notable alumni, including five U.S. Presidents, 19 U.S. Supreme Court Justices, 20 living billionaires and many heads of state. Hundreds of members of Congress and many U.S. diplomats, 78 MacArthur Fellows, 247 Rhodes ...
