Texas still shown in enlarged Territorial shape beside a narrow elongated New Mexico. Engraved note within the state notes the Texians claim as their boundary the Rio del Norte.
New California occupies the west from Rockies to Pacific, below a curiously shaped Oregon Territory which extends up into Canada prior to the boundary settlement with Great Britain.

Why the Sun Belt Keeps Growing
Americans are moving to the Sun Belt in huge numbers. In this video, Mr. Beat explains the many reasons why so many have been moving to the Sun Belt since right after World War II.

Americans are moving South. In huge numbers. Between July 2015 and July 2016, Harris County in Texas, where Houston is located, grew an average of 155 people per day. Maricopa County in Arizona, where Phoenix is located, grew an average of 223 people per day during that same time period. 11 of the 15 fastest growing major cities in the United States are in the region known as the Sun Belt.
The Sun Belt generally stretches across the entire Southern portion of the United States, including the states of Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, and California. It’s definitely an arbitrary definition. Some geographers label the Sun Belt any part of the United States south of the 36th parallel. With that definition, you would add the states of Oklahoma, Tennessee, and North Carolina to the region, and the map would look like this.
The Sun Belt is currently known for it’s mild winters, the tourism associated with those mild winters, growing economic opportunities, and its, uh, SUN. As in it’s always sunny. It’s not always sunny in Philadelphia. It’s always sunny in Phoenix.
Political analyst Kevin Phillips first popularized the term “Sun Belt” in 1969 in his book The Emerging Republican Majority, and the term continues to stick around. However, as I said before, Americans had been flocking to the South since right after World War II.
But why, Mr. Beat. WHY?
First, let’s just get the obvious reason out the way. Many Americans, especially retiring Americans, just wanted to settle down in a warmer climate. Winters in the Midwest and Northeast can be brutal. So why did they wait until after World War II? Well, this was around the time home air conditioning units became affordable. Sure, winters in the South can be heaven, but the summers can also be relentless, but after air conditioners became widespread, it was much easier to deal with those 115 degree afternoons in Arizona.
So retirees were flocking down there, but what about those looking for work? After World War II, there seemed to be plenty of jobs waiting for Americans down in the South. The federal government spent most of its Cold War money on the defense and aerospace industries of the South, where everything was cheaper compared to the North. Workers could even be paid less, in part due to there being less labor unions in the South. The Sun Belt also received much more money than the north from the federal government in terms of military and aerospace spending. Oil boomed in Texas. Tourism obviously boomed pretty much everywhere in the Sun Belt. The creation of the interstate highway system in the 1950s opened up once isolated southern regions to the rest of the country. Southern governments offered incentives for businesses to move there.
Part of the region’s economic growth came from introducing new farming technologies in arid areas.
Speaking of arid, yeah, much of the Sun Belt is pretty dry. Irrigation from redirecting water can only last for so long, so this remains a serious challenge in the future for the American Southwest in particular.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, the cost of living was much cheaper in many areas of the Sun Belt.
By the 1970s, the Sun Belt was growing at a high rate. And while there have been the occasional, temporary setbacks ever since, this trend has not slowed down. Today, the Sun Belt states are where most of the growth occurs.
The Loneliest Road in America Highway 50 Nevada Adventure
Few places in the U.S. lower 48 states are as remote as the stretch of Highway 50 that runs through the Basin and Range of Nevada. The highway is so far off the beaten path, Life Magazine nemed it The Loneliest Road in America. Driving it west from the Utah state line, we really didn't see a lot of other vehicles. What we did see, however, was wonderful. We occasionally passed through old mining towns with names like White Pine, Eureka and Austin that had a mix of saloons, trinket shops, empty storefronts and mine tailings and abandoned mining equipment that hinted at their storied pasts. We camped in a dusty campsite that had natural hotsprings we could soak in just east of Austin. Exploring the area in our Subaru Outback -- you must have an off-road capable vehicle if you go off the highway -- we were astonished to drive 50 miles to Belmont, Nevada, only to find the designated ghost town was full of friendly and/or quirky people (mostly RVers and ATVers) preparing to celebrate the Fourth of July with a parade and other festivities on the town's unpaved main street. We also marveled at ancient, Native American petroglyphs, wild horses and mules, and the wide open sky, which is a stunner day and night. Larry Richardson created this video using a Sony FDR-AX53 camcorder for 4k video and Apple iPhone 7 for HD video. The video was edited on a Mac Book Pro using Apple Final Cut Pro X software.

ROADTRIPPING USA | week 2| Nevada, Arizona, Utah
Here is another week of our adventures while roadtripping around the U.S.A. If you haven't seen the previous video click on the link and it will take you there
Anyways.. the states we visited so far are California (previous video), Arizona, Nevada and Utah. We first drove down to Las Vegas from L.A, which took quite much longer than we had expected so the arrival time was late. We spend a whole evening in Las Vegas until 2am when we decided to go back to our camping ground. The next day we started our drive down down to the Grand Canyon! A place I have always wanted to visit. On the way we also stopped to see the hoover dam (which I realize that I pronounce wrong in the video). I thought it was superfunny what a big deal they make out of it. There are toilets, a gift shop, monouments and a whole museum dedicated to the dam.
Now to the Grand Canyon.. It is crazy how much more different it is than I had imagined. I thought you have to take a hike there and that the canyon is more like a canyon (who big walls and water in between). The canyon is more open space and it is layers on layers (huuuuge). You don't have to hike there, although you can hike through the canyon and down to the river, but to just see what we saw you only need to take a shuttle bus. The shuttle buses go all around the park and take you to different locations if you can't walk. We prefered to walking the distances and take the bus down to sunset point in the end of the day. You see more animals if you walk and have a less crowded view, although since it is so large the view points are not that crowded. I walked close to some edges, but with some you have to be very careful since the rock is very brittle. The walking path is also paved all around so wheelchair friendly for those of you who need it (Y).
After the Grand Canyon we spend a day in Canyonlands- needles. It was nice with beautiful scenary, but I would rather spend more time in Arches and Moab town then seeing canyonlands. So If you are on a short schedule this is a part you could easily skip. Then after canyonlands we hit the road again and went to arches national park. The park is absolutely beautiful and there is so much to see. You can do both long and short hikes and spend as little as just some hours up to days there. We started with driving down the whole scenic route and then do the different arches that are easily acceseble from the street there. The visitor center doesn't open until 9am (until 4pm), so if you need a map I suggest you get it the day before. It is better to start the day early in summer months since it gets so hot after 10/11am. We spend two days in arches and although I wish we would've gone there for sunset, on the next day we started with going to delicate arch. Probably the most famous and beautiful one. You have to go on a little 3,2km long hike to get there and the way is pretty easy. If you go there for sunset the arch turns orange, purple and all kinds of colours, giving you a beautiful light show.
Now in the next video we will be going more around Utah to see Monument Valley, capitol reef park and more... So if you want to see that stay tuned ;)
Other than that thank you for watching and if you like what you see there is that red SUBSCRIBE buttom that makes me happy when people push it. So you know.. you could do it too, why not kinda?
CAMPGROUNDS
Las Vegas- KOA campground. Supernice, they have a pool to cool of in, a little shop, it is not too far from town (not walking distance tho), good wifi, all included for a VAN and super cheap for what it offers. 28$/night (4 people and a camperVAN) this price is if you have a 10% discount witch we get by renting our van from Cruise America.
Grand Canyon- if you intend to stay at a campingground make sure to book it in advance. We go more YOLO and didn't know when we are where so we slept wild. There are plenty od spots just outside the park, one of them even marked as a wild camp. It is inbetween trees, for free and all you need. (I prefer wild camps to be honest)
Arches National park- KOA Moab.
To be honest I don't remember it much so it can't have been anything special. I think it had a pool, okay wifi and it wasn't too cheap. around 40$/night with our 10% off coupon.
Have an AWESOME weeek people, see ya! :D
NOTICE
The engcon is just a joke, not an actual commercial. My dad works there sometimes and has these sunnies I always laugh at. I did not get paid for it whatsoever.
The informative video is filmed in the arches national park information center. I asked a ranger if I could film and publish it in my video and he said it was fine. Please don't get me in any trouble here.

Episode 17: We Agnostics, Atheists and Freethinkers International AA Convention in Austin
It was very nice to sit down and visit with Dianne P., who is the Chair of the We Agnostics, Atheists and Freethinkers International AA Convention that will be taking place in Austin, Texas from November 11 through November 13 of this year. This is an AA convention that you don’t want to miss. If you can possibly find a way to get to Austin, you should do it, and I am speaking from experience.
I was fortunate enough to attend the first WAAFT IAAC that was held in Santa Monica, California in November of 2014, and it was without doubt, the best AA convention that I have ever experienced, and I assure you this wasn’t just a pink cloud — that convention was an event that changed my life in ways I never could have imagined. I recorded this podcast and I am posting on this website because of the people I met at the convention in Santa Monica, and with whom I have stayed in contact and consider among my dearest friends. Nothing in all of my experience in A.A. was as unique and life-changing as the events that took place in Santa Monica, California in November 2014.
The experience didn’t end at the convention. When we returned to our respective homes scattered across the globe, we went to work building an online network to help us stay connected to each other. We created Facebook groups, websites, and online meetings. The Internet made it possible to keep in touch, and bring additional people into our community — and indeed this is exactly what happened. In the months after Santa Monica, people from around the world were starting new secular AA groups; Iceland, Canada, the United States, Japan, Australia — new AA meetings for secular people were forming everywhere. There is a real excitement among us to make AA ever more inclusive and never exclusive, and this is what Santa Monica was all about, this is what the keynote speakers stressed — inclusion never exclusion.
WAAFT IAAC is an organization that I love and believe in, as do many in our community. This is the passion of which Dianne spoke during our podcast. She worked hard as Chair to remind the Board to keep principles before personalities, and to always be inclusive, never exclusive. Planning a convention like this is a lot of work, and it requires people to cooperate with one another — often easier said than done.
That alcoholics sometimes have differences of opinion is certainly nothing new for Alcoholics Anonymous. There were fierce debates and arguments among those early AAs who hashed out the Big Book, and as our fellowship grew there were plenty of bumps in the road to happy destiny. So, it’s not surprising that the same would hold true for WAAFT IAAC — there were more than a few potholes strewn along the broad highway.
Roger C. has written an article at AA Agnostica that goes into more detail regarding the disagreements at WAAFT IAAC. Presenting his opinion of what has taken place, he offers some ideas and suggestions for moving forward. It should be noted however, that neither Dianne nor any of the original Board members were interviewed for that article.
Please don’t let this raucous history cause you any concern or the least bit of trepidation about attending the conference in Austin. There was plenty of disagreement prior to the convention in Santa Monica. As Dianne mentioned during our conversation, there were some who were vehemently opposed to the Rev. Ward Ewing speaking in Santa Monica, but at the convention itself – that debate was behind us, and the atmosphere was one of love and service. I am confident that Austin will have the same energy.
There will be a business meeting at the Austin Convention, just as there was in Santa Monica. This will give us the opportunity to create an informed group conscience, discuss any past problems, and to make decisions for future conventions. I urge you to learn more about WAAFT IAAC , and to get involved and attend the business meeting. This after all is how movements are created and how history is made.
You simply don’t want to miss this experience, so make sure you attend WAAFT IAAC 2016 . You will meet new friends, your imagination will be stirred, you will be inspired to help others, and you will surely grow as a person in recovery.

Solar Warden | The Secret Space Program & Black Budget Part TWO - Just Myths?
Solar Warden | The Secret Space Program & Black Budget Part TWO - Just Myths?
McKinnon allegedly discovered information about the craft within Solar Warden. It is said that there are approximately eight cigar-shaped motherships (each longer than two football fields end-to-end) and 43 small “scout ships. The Solar Warden Space Fleet operates under Air Force Space Command. There is at least 300 personnel involved in this facility.
Solar Warden is said to be made up of U.S. aerospace Black Projects contractors, with some contributions of parts and systems by Canada. Also the United Kingdom, Italy, Austria, Russia, and Australia. It is also said that the program is tested and operated from secret Air Force bases such as Area 51 in Nevada, USA.
Another newer version of the definition and description of Solar Warden is that it isn't the Earths Interstellar Space Program itself, that is called the SOC, but Solar Warden is, in fact, the name of a Research Project that would create Sun Spots and send the Solar Waves to Directional Nodes in Space which in turn aim the Solar Waves at Targets like a Rogue Asteroid or an Alien Space Craft that had flown into our Solar System unannounced, without permission and with Hostile Intentions
After years of fighting in court for having illegally accessed NASA’s computers, the hacker is talking about the findings he has made at the time
McKinnon told the judges and the press that he found evidence of technologies of alien origin, the existence of energy capable of stopping the global warming process, anti-gravity devices, and above all, the existence of a real stellar fleet capable of driving huge distances through cosmic space.
Gary McKinnon thinks he has found enough evidence to assert that the Americans have a secret space program run by the Navy, that is, spaceships.
According to metro.co.uk, all the details are reported in an ample interview with RichPlanet TV, known for its UFO programs: “We used a program called Landsearch to help us access all the tabs and folders.”
“There we found an Excel file named” Non-Terrestrial Officers “(the officers from outside the Earth).
The file contained names and ranks, and material transfers were specified between ships, and the name of the spacecraft began with the USS”
But what evidence would McKinnon have found? Alien visits are hidden to the public because the space images were altered to the NASA Johnson Space Center. Here, for example, UFOs were taken out of the photographs.
McKinnon found on NASA’s servers a high-definition image of a large cigar-like object, floating above the northern hemisphere.
When he hacked the US Army servers, McKinnon discovered a diary of all “non-terrestrial” officers, proof that the US Army had a secret battalion in space.
Some of the US ships are called USSS Lemay or USSS Hillenkoetter, “USSS” coming from the “United States Space Ship,” the US Space Shuttle. McKinnon said: “I found a list of officers in the” Non-Terrestrial Officers “section. This does not mean aliens but the fact that they are not based on Earth. They were serving a fleet that was not American Navy ships, but spaceships away from our planet. ”
On April 13, 2009, the US National Archives of Administration provided nearly 250,000 pages of documents during the Reagan administration, including its Personal Journal. In this, on 11 June 1985, the president wrote:
“WE HAVE LUNCH WITH 5 TOP SCIENTISTS IN THE FIELD OF AEROSPACE.” IT WAS FASCINATING. “SPACE IS REALLY THE LAST FRONTIER, AND SOME OF THE DEVELOPMENTS THERE IN ASTRONOMY ARE SCIENCE FICTION UNLESS THEY ARE REAL. LEARNED THAT OUR TRANSFER CAPACITY IS SUCH THAT WE COULD PUT 300 PEOPLE IN ORBIT. ”

Lake Powell Houseboating Debacle
Welcome to Wonderhussy Adventure #248
*The title is tongue-in-cheek -- I have no specific beef with Mormons; they are fine people...who use a lot of water!*
While houseboating on Lake Powell, we ran around on a rock outcropping and were stranded in the middle of the lake overnight. After being rescued, I went ashore and studied up on the issue of the Colorado River water crisis...and found it fascinating! John Wesley Powell, a Civil War vet who was the first white man to explore the Colorado River back in the 1800s, foresaw ALL OF THIS...and even stated as much almost 150 years ago. But, Congress did not heed his warning...thanks to lobbying from the railroads.

The Nightmare World of Gang Stalking
More than 10,000 people worldwide claim they're the victims of a vast organized surveillance effort designed to ruin their lives, a phenomenon known as gang stalking. Mental health experts see gang stalking as a symptom of paranoia, but the self-identified victims who insist what they're experiencing is real have come together online and in support groups to share their stories.
VICE met up with a handful of Americans who claim their lives have been derailed by gang stalking to understand what serious consequences the phenomenon presents. Then we hear from Dr. Josh Bazell, one of many physicians who believes the victims of gang stalking are experiencing dangerous delusions that could be treated by mental health professionals.

Local author blames radioactive fallout for local cancer cases
ALBANY -- Thursday marked 60 years since the United States government conducted a nuclear test in the desert of Nevada. Years later, the radioactive fallout from that test was blamed for a high incidence of thyroid cancer here in the Capital Region. Now, the author of a new book claims that it caused dozens of people to contract a very rare form of cancer.Local author Bill Heller has invested more than 18 years tracking down leads in a strange storm that he said rained down radioactivity on the Capital Region. In his new book Stolen Lives, Heller is connecting an unusually high incidence of Hodgkins Lymphona in this area to a nuclear test called Code Name: Simon, which sent a 30,000 foot mushroom cloud into the air. Thanks to the jet stream and a vicious thunderstorm, massive amounts of radioactivity were thrown over this area.Heller said it is no coincidence that dozens of people alive at that time became victims of the rare disease.
