Setting up inside the catering trailer at Bovingdon Market
Three hours of work condensed in seven minutes in this time lapse video composed of more than 11.000 photographs. With the hour needed to set up the sitting area outside, there are a total of 4 hours of preparation. Then there are 6 hours of trading time and 4 hours to close down. Traveling time to/from the market is 2 hours, so basically it's 18 hours of work non stop from 03:00am. The pros? Work only one day per week in the fresh air and with no boss telling you what to do!
Bovingdon
We visit the Royal Oak in Bovingdon village by Hemel Hempstead whose decor commemorates the American servicemen who helped Britain win the Second World War, and without whose help it would have been even more difficult than it was to beat Hitler's forces.
After that we look at a typical English school fete, this time at my old junior school, Bradfield School, which hasn't changed a bit.
