Bracebridge Falls is the last drop on the north branch of the Muskoka River before its joins up with the south branch. The Muskoka is a good sized river and this is a big waterfall, but like all the others in the area it has been partially dammed. A dam extends across most of the river, but some of the water spills over a natural rock face. There is also a smaller drop a few hundred meters upstream, which also has a dam built on it. The falls are located in downtown Bracebridge. Ecclestone Drive crosses the Muskoka just above the falls. There is a parking area by the corner of Ecclestone and Entrance Drive from where you can access some walking paths that lead to the falls. You can reach either side of the falls by walking across the dam.

Bracebridge Falls in Bracebridge, Ontario
Bracebridge Falls is found in the centre of Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada on the north branch of the Muskoka River. There is an upper and lower waterfall, both shown in the video, which have been severely controlled by man with dams and diversions.
The location was subject to terrible flooding in April, 2013. There are many videos on YouTube that show the severity. This video, taken in August, 2013 shows a much tamer Muskoka River and Bracebridge Falls.
There are several other waterfalls in the area, including Wilson's Falls and High Falls.

Bracebridge Streets and Homes Flooded - April 26, 2019
Homes and streets were flooded on Friday as waters continue to rise in Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada. Heavy rain fell on Friday as snowmelt continued to increase river levels. Numerous homes along River Road were under water and roads were water covered along Santa's Village Road in and around Bracebridge. Debris collected at a floating bridge downstream.

Wilson's Falls is one of several waterfalls along the north branch of the Muskoka River. Located just north of Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada, this is one of the least visited yet most beautiful of the area's waterfalls.
The river is dammed in the area but that takes away little from the waterfalls. The spectacle consists of several rapids, cascades and plunges over several hundred feet of river. Like anything to do with water in this area, levels vary drastically, depending on time of year and amount of precipitation.
There is a small parking lot near the waterfall and there is no fee. There are also no services at the park.

The Bracebridge Fire and Ice Festival is wonderfully fun for the whole family on Manitoba street in scenic downtown Bracebridge, Ontario.
Bracebridge created a massive tubing hill on it's main street and thousands gathered for the frosty festivities. The first annual Fire & Ice Festival included downtown skating, Fire eater The Fire Guy, amazing ice carvers, roasted marshmellows, live performing musicians, maple syrup popsicle makers and an igloo builder.
