Walkerville Brewing Company is a brewery in Windsor, Ontario. The first incarnation operated from 1885 to 1956. A new company with the same name started up in 1998, but declared bankruptcy in 2007. The company was purchased again and is now a well appointed microbrewery located in the City of Windsor in a district known by locals as Walkerville. The brewery has product in many local bars in the area of Windsor and Essex County and the LCBO.Products: Honest Lager The copper colour hints to the caramelized bread-like taste of this lager, brewed in accordance with the Oktoberfest beer style. Richly toasted imported malts are presented as the centrepiece of this brew, while German hops are revealed but subdued. The easy drinking character of this beer is attributed to its medium body, fine noble hop bitterness, and clean finish. Easy Stout The Walkerville Brewery Easy Stout is a decadent and delicious offering. Silky sweet notes greet the palette and roll off into a subtle dark chocolate finish. A soft roasted note should linger as the beer finishes dry. Rich and robust it is medium bodied and easy drinking. Geronimo IPA Coarsely filtered India Pale Ale, loaded wit grapefruit, orange peel and piney aromas from several kilos of different American hops. The pronounced bitterness hits the palate first and is delicately balanced with international specialty malts. Purity Pilsener Dry and crisp, this pale yellow beer has a subtle grainy flavour. The late addition of German Hallertau hops – a traditional aroma hop – gives the beer a light floral aroma balanced by a crisp bitterness to the finish. Road Block Doppelbock Long cool fermentation results in a deceptively easy drinking beer. German malts give this beer a bready, malt forward flavour which is enhanced by moderate bitterness. The resulting 'Road Block Doppelbock' is a full flavoured, brown coloured strong lager.
