BrewDog Pub Crawl: London - Vol 1
Our first video so be nice!!
This is our BrewDog pub crawl around London....
Leave comments below, feedback would be awesome!!
London Pub Guide. Brewdog Soho. One of the best pubs in London. Vlog #9
Brewdog Soho is one of best pubs in London if you want to find a fantastic range of Brewdog's own beers. The rest of their craft beer offering is also pretty impressive. This place stretches my definition of a pub to it's limit but if you can drink pints of beer without ordering food then it's still a pub in my book.
Even though we have lived in London for years and have been to lots of pubs we still need hints and tips to keep up with the new openings and old classics we may have missed.
These books are strongly recommended. These are affiliate links to Amazon.

Camden Town - London Landmarks
Camden Town has been a residential area since the 1790s, but it was only the development of the Grand Union Canal and the improved railway transport that turned it into a bustling part of London. Today, visitors and locals gather to hunt for treasures in Camden's markets, stroll by Regent's Canal, gaze at the beautiful buildings, sample cuisine from around the world, listen to live music and soak up the vibrant and diverse atmosphere. Many famous people, including Dylan Thomas, Walter Sickert and Amy Winehouse, have made Camden their home.
Camden Markets
The labyrinthine open-air markets and myriad retail outlets of Camden will keep the keenest shoppers busy, with everything from vintage to futuristic designs on offer. The individual markets are:
- Camden Lock Market: Crafts, books, clothing, jewellery and fast food.
- Camden Lock Village: Clothing and accessories, as well as a range of unusual items.
- Camden Market: Originally Buck Street market, this sells fashion for all tastes.
- Inverness Street Market: A few of the original fruit stalls remain, alongside clothing, footwear and souvenirs.
- Stables Market: A mix of permanent shops and stalls selling household items, antiques, alternative clothing, food and much more.
There is also an indoor fashion market at the Electric Ballroom, which is only open on Sundays.
Food and Drink
Feeling peckish? You'll find food from around the globe at Camden's many eateries and street vendors. Going to a show at the Roundhouse? Try their pre-theatre menu. Check out top-quality burgers at Haché or pan-Asian cuisine at Gilgamesh, where you can stay on to enjoy the trendy bar and club.
You're never far from a bar in Camden. Try Scottish import BrewDog, the legendary Dublin Castle on Parkway or The World's End, opposite Camden Town Tube station (Northern line). Camden Town even has two breweries, Little Brew and Camden Town – look out for their excellent beers in local pubs.
Live Music in Camden
Camden has always been a hub for London's live music scene, with legendary venues that have launched many big names. Check out Koko, the Underworld and Electric Ballroom to catch the latest bands. You can also see top jazz and blues performances at the Jazz Café or the Blues Kitchen, while the Black Cap offers a glittering array of drag acts.
See theatrical performances from top UK companies such as the RSC, as well as films, art installations and gigs at the Roundhouse. You can also catch comedy at the Camden Highlight or see an eclectic mix of fringe performances at the Etcetera theatre.
Activities in and Around Camden Town
Check out edgy art exhibitions at the Cob Gallery, contemporary photography at Proud Camden or a huge range of modern visual arts at the highly-acclaimed Camden Arts Centre. You can explore Jewish life and heritage at the Jewish Museum.
If you’re looking for something a little more active, take the kids down to the Pirate Castle, where the whole family can enjoy a range of water-based activities. And there's always ZSL London Zoo – set within Regent's Park. It's great fun for kids and adults alike. From here, explore the area along the picturesque Regent's Canal. Trendy Primrose Hill is also well worth a visit not least for the spectacular city views from the top of the hill.

#534 BrewDog vs Cloudwater Collab | New England IPA 6.8%ABV (British Craft Beer
Brewery - BrewDog + Cloudwater Collaboration
Beer - New England IPA
Style - IPA (India Pale Ale)
ABV - 6.8%
IBUs - 35
Reviewed on - 17th February 2017.
Commercial Description - North East Scotland meets North East USA in our BrewDog Vs Cloudwater showdown.
This New England IPA is low in bitterness but loaded with explosive fruit flavour. Redolent with tropical fruit notes, fresh squeezed orange juice, pineapple, fragrant cut grass, and hints of pine dust, the aroma is complex and alluring. On the palate, the bittersweet balance emphasises the sweet, juicy fruit character, while the addition of oats adds a silken mouthfeel, giving the beer a full and rounded finish. If it wasn’t for the subtle bitter edge and the slight hint of alcohol warmth, you’d swear you were drinking juice.

Bar selling only alcohol free craft beer opens in London
(8 Jan 2020) LEAD IN:
A bar has opened in London that serves nothing but alcohol free beers - just in time for 'dry January'.
It has 15 different alcohol free ales on draught and it claims to be a world first.
STORY-LINE:
On the surface this looks just like one of the many trendy bars around London's Old Street area.
Pints are pulled, punters are laughing and drinking... but look closely at the board.
All of the 15 tap beers here are alcohol free.
Welcome to Scottish brewery BrewDog's 101st bar, now open to the public. Although there are other eateries that serve only alcohol free drinks, BrewDog claims its latest venture is the first in the world to only sell craft beer that is alcohol free. The venue also offers alcohol free wines and spirits.
What better timing to open its doors, with many regretting the excesses of December and embracing a dry January, the BrewDog AF bar offers a welcome sanctuary in one of London's most notorious party districts.
James Brown is the retail director at BrewDog and is enjoying a midday can of Wake Up Call - an alcohol free stout beer with a double-hit of caffeine.
He explains: All of our bars have a really decent range of alcohol free beers on tap and in cans and bottles. We thought it was really important to showcase our alcohol free beers but also other craft brewers alcohol free ranges as well, in one location and give people who wanted to try alcohol free for the first time a destination to come to and be able to try multiple, the biggest range of alcohol free beers, all at once in one destination and really to showcase the range of alcohol free beers that are out there on the market.
There's clearly a market for alcohol free bars - in the UK it is estimated 20.9 per cent of the adult population do not drink alcohol according to the most recent ONS reports into drinking behaviours (Office for National Statistics).
But will beer afficionados be swayed by the promise of a range of alcohol free beers?
Few people will have sampled as many craft beers in the capital as Jonny Garrett, author of the London Craft Beer Guide.
He is excited by the opening of BrewDog's new bar and is live-blogging his first pint - it's called Hazy AF, a type of New England IPA (which is typically strong enough to rule out any plans of driving home, but not so today).
Jonny Garrett says: It's a very hard beer style to get right (New England IPA)... even at full alcohol, where typically they would be around seven per cent these IPAs, but the fact that this is 0.5 per cent and it's still got all of the fermentation profile, all those fruity, yeast zesters, flavours and aromas is absolutely incredible. I don't know how they've really done that and it's still got a lovely bitter hop in as well. This would put lots of seven per cent New England IPAs to shame.
The bar has only been open for a couple of hours and already there's a steady stream of punters looking to try it out.
So what do the first arrivals make of the beer and the ambiance?
Attila Wolf is a big fan of BrewDog's traditional alcoholic beers but is enjoying a guilt-free lunchtime pint.
He says: I'd say almost as good as the normal ones, yeah.
Richard Cownley also approves of the alcohol-free alternative.
He says: I think it's a good thing. I think it breaks down the associations of going out and having a pint at lunch and allowing to have an alcohol free alternative is quite beneficial I feel and it sort of exaggerates a healthier lifestyle.
