Colombiana, Our Idiot Brother, Brighton Rock, The Family Tree, Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark
Colombiana
Cataleya is a young woman who has grown up to be an assassin after witnessing the murder of her parents as a child. Turning herself into a professional killer and working for her uncle, she remains focused on her ultimate goal: to hunt down and get revenge on the mobster responsible for her parents' deaths.
Our Idiot Brother
Every family has one: the sibling who is always just a little bit behind the curve when it comes to getting his life together. For sisters Liz (Emily Mortimer), Miranda (Elizabeth Banks) and Natalie (Zooey Deschanel), that person is their perennially upbeat brother Ned (Paul Rudd), an erstwhile organic farmer whose willingness to rely on the honesty of mankind is a less-than-optimum strategy for a tidy, trouble-free existence. Ned may be utterly lacking in common sense, but he is their brother and so, after his girlfriend dumps him and boots him off the farm, his sisters once again come to his rescue. As Liz, Miranda and Natalie each take a turn at housing Ned, their brother's unfailing commitment to honesty creates more than a few messes in their comfortable routines. But as each of their lives begins to unravel, Ned's family comes to realize that maybe, in believing and trusting the people around him; Ned isn't such an idiot after all.
Brighton Rock
Based on Graham Greene's chilling 1938 novel, BRIGHTON ROCK is the hard-boiled, visually captivating debut film of Rowan Joffe. An official selection of the Toronto International Film Festival, the film features an incredible cast of both British acting royalty and brilliant newcomers. Sam Riley (CONTROL) is the young anti-hero Pinkie, a cunning charmer trying to make his mark on the vicious gangland of Brighton. When a young waitress (Andrea Riseborough, who was nominated for 2 BIFAs for her breakthrough performance) stumbles on evidence that links Pinkie and his gang to a revenge killing, he draws her into a conned romance to keep the loose end tied up. When Rose's world-weary boss (Oscar-winner Helen Mirren) becomes suspicious of the enigmatic young man hanging around her charge, the tangled web becomes a deadly game of psychological cat-and-mouse-- an atmostpheric mystery-noir that fully captures the mood of Greene's violent and sexually daring masterpiece.
The Family Tree
In THE FAMILY TREE, life in suburban Serenity, Ohio is never quite as serene as it appears. The dysfunctional Burnett family - Bunnie (Hope Davis), Jack (Dermot Mulroney) and their twin 17 year olds Eric (Max Thieriot) and Kelly (Britt Robertson) - seems like a lost cause. When a freak accident leaves Bunnie with a case of amnesia, the Burnetts get an unexpected second chance at happiness. Meanwhile, next door neighbor Simon (Chi McBride) is relieved that his tryst gone wrong with Bunnie remains undetected, at least for the moment. Before long, a slew of past relationships, kids with guns, a suicidal teacher, a very zealous religious club, misinterpreted advances, corporate down-sizing, and one fateful squirrel combine to create enough mayhem to test the resolve, sanity and future of any family! This hilarious, touching, and offbeat comedy explores the frailties and complexities of the contemporary American family - and what it takes to survive in a suburban jungle. After all, every family has its hang-ups.
Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark
Introverted Sally Hurst has just moved in with her father Alex and his girlfriend Kim when she realizes that their sprawling estate holds its fair share of secrets. Ascending to the depths of the house, Sally gains access to a secret lower level that has lain undisturbed for nearly a century, when the original builder vanished without a trace. When Sally accidentally opens the gateway that kept the creatures locked up tight, she realizes that in order to prevent them from destroying her family is to convince her skeptical father than monsters really exist.

The Rise of British Jihadists in Syria
Subscribe to VICE News here:
Britain's young Muslims are taking the fight against President Bashir al-Assad from UK towns to the frontlines of Syria. VICE News headed to the civil war-torn country to follow Amer Deghayes, a 20-year-old former student from Brighton, who joined the holy war against his father's wishes after carrying out extensive research online.
We joined Amer after the death of his 18-year-old brother Abdullah, who died in a fierce battle against Assad forces in northern Syria. Undeterred by the bloody and brutal conflict, Amer's 16-year-old brother Jaffer has since met up with him in Syria.
The UK is now attempting to combat, block, and remove thousands of items of jihadist propaganda from the internet in an attempt to deter Britons from taking up arms abroad. For Amer, the power of jihadist social media — which promotes stories of jihadi legend, martyrdom, and paradise — opened his eyes to the suffering of Muslims in Syria.
England is also now citing returning militants as the biggest security threat to the United Kingdom. The government's position could leave Amer — and the possibly thousands of unknown British fighters — stranded in increasingly fierce and bloody conflicts, and within the grasp of extremist jihadist groups.

Ex-Man City star in drunken brawl
These moments show former Manchester City footballer Kelvin Etuhu taking part in a drunken street brawl which left a man with a broken jaw.
The Nigerian striker, 22 took off his shirt and began punching and kicking 24-year old Owen Fitzpatrick who had earlier been chatting up the soccer ace's girlfriend in a cocktail bar.
During the punch up jealous Etuhu bundled his own girlfriend to the floor as she tried to stop the mayhem. He then fled the scene as she lay dazed or unconscious on the pavement before going to hospital. Mr Fitzpatrick also had his watch stolen.
Dramatic CCTV footage captured the heart stopping moments as the 4.30am brawl erupted outside the 235 casino in Manchester city centre.
The footage was released by police after Etuhu, of Wigan, put his head in his hands and sobbed as he was sentenced to eight months in jail after he pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray.
The footballer's chauffeur Leonard Rico Richards, 27, of Longsight, Manchester was jailed for four years after he admitted ABH, affray and theft.
Etuhu's older brother Dickson, 28, who plays for Fulham looked on as Judge David Hale told the Premiership star: ''Courts have a public duty to spell out the consequences of public disorder and it is clear just how unnecessary this was.
''Whatever happened in the casino, it was trivial. It's half four in the morning, time to go anyway. The others involved in this incident had taken it on themselves to see if you turned up but you did.
''You could have been driven away but you didn't. You decided it wasn't over and if it hadn't been for that this would never had happened and you would have carried on with your lives.
But you didn't. You got out and you got involved and you completely lost the plot. Why else would you push your girlfriend over so that she lay motionless on the ground.
He added: ''You had brought yourself up by your bootstraps, you and your family with nothing more than ambition and your talent when you came from Nigeria.
''You were with Manchester City Football Club and like many others it didn't seem to come to anything. You had a chance and you blew it.

The Moped Gangs of London: UK Bikelife
Click here to subscribe to VICE:
Mopeds and teenage boys have gone hand-in-hand since the 1960s. But in the last year UK BikeLife culture – where young scooter riders upload videos of themselves wheelie-ing down motorways and through industrial estates – has exploded, with the scene’s leaders picking up thousands of YouTube and Instagram followers in the process.
These British riders are beginning to receive international attention, not least from Baltimore’s notorious dirt bike club, the 12 O’Clock Boys. Although they may lack the CCs of their American counterparts, they’ve done a good job of making up for it with charisma and a dedication to the underdog of the two-wheeled world: the humble moped.
In London Bikelife, Daisy-May Hudson lets a nostalgia for the moped gangs of her teenage years get the better of her and travels to industrial estates on the outskirts of London to meet with the underground stars of the UK BikeLife scene. After spending some time at northwest London’s Ace Cafe – an iconic hangout for bikers and petrolheads – Daisy is taken along to one of the group’s big ride-outs, where hundreds of boys take over the roads with their mopeds.
