[4K] BRISTOL UK (2018) WALKING TOUR - City Centre
As close to being there, without being there.
If you're wondering what to do in one day in Bristol, follow this walking tour of the City Centre. We start on Quay Street, opposite St John's church, surrounded by iconic street art - El Mac's 'Clothed with the Sun,' Nick Walker's 'Tipping Red Paint,' 'Welcome To Bristol' by Tats Cru and Aryz's 'Wolf.
Through the arch into Broad Street we're greeted by Conor Harrington's The Duel of Bristol. Turning along Bell Lane we cross to explore Leonard Lane, often known as Graffiti Alley because it's walls are completely covered in spray art.
We emerge into the relative grandeur of Corn Street. Among bars and restaurants we find an open air market and Exchange Avenue leading to the covered food market known as St Nicholas Market.
We emerge to follow Broad Street and pass Edward Everard's Printing Works with it's amazing tiled frontage and the Palestine Museum before heading back through the arch beneath St Johns.
We follow Christmas Street to cross Colston Avenue to ascend the famous Christmas Steps. Passing the board game cafe 'Chance & Counters,' the barbers 'Harry Blades & Angry Daves', the '20th Century Flicks' video shop, 'That' art gallery and many more independent traders, we arrive on Colston Street.
We pause to view Foster's Almshouses dating back to the 15th Century before taking Trenchard Street to Colston Hall - Bristol's largest concert hall. Continuing on, we find The Olde Hatchet Inn dating from 1606. Just beyond here, we find more street art including Big Deal Kids by JPS and an amazing piece of pop art by the collaboration of Richt and 45RPM.
And just around the corner, as we mount the steps to Park Street is
Banksy's Hanging Man (or Well Hung Lover as it's sometimes known as.)
We complete our walk with Bristol City Council on our right as we cross College Green to view Bristol Cathedral.

BRISTOL STREET ART WALKING TOUR - BANKSY
We take a Bristol Street Art Tour with Where The Wall and it was great! More of a Bristol Street Art Walking Tour mixed with a straight up good old fashioned Bristol Walking Tour but learning all about street art, graffiti, the legendary Banksy and more. Really enjoyed this Bristol Tour and recommend it to anyone. After we had lunch at St. Nicholas Market which is the oldest market in Bristol and Margot chose better than I did with lunch selections but enjoyed mine nonetheless. We were in Bristol for a short time, did a few Bristol Tours and had a good time. Hope to return to Bristol Uk sooner than later.
Bristol Street art tour | UK
Well Hung Lover, prima opera di street art al mondo ad essere stata legalizzata;
The Vandal, di Nick Walker;
The duel of Bristol di Connor Harringhton;
The big deal di JPS
Il tour della street art si conclude a Stokes Croft, il quartiere più creativo e stimolante che mostra Bristol per la città ribelle e contemporanea che è!

???????? Street Art: Bristol (UK)
#Bristol #Banksy #Streetart
When walking around Bristol it’s impossible not to find a cutting-edge piece of graffiti or urban art. Art is widespread in Bristol, which is home to more than 200 artists. The most famous one it’s obviously Banksy, who was born and grew up here, before reaching world fame. But don’t come from here only for the remaining Banksy murals which are now like historical landmarks, alongside the cathedral and other Bristol monuments.
Having led the way with popular sub-cultures for the last 30 years, Bristol has a history for graffiti and street art that is unlike anywhere else in the UK. The Upfest is probably the most important street art festival in the word. Street art, a multicultural background and a vibrant nightlife scene, will allow Bristol to attract young talents, artists and creative people in the foreseeable future.

Discovering Bristol’s Pirate Past - Bristol Quayside
We have visited Bristol in the South West of England a number of times and despite being a frequent visitor to the city it is surprising how many places we just ignore and walk past.
This time I (Mr W) took some time and tried the free ‘Bristol Quayside Adventure’ audio tour which you can find at
Just to confirm this is NOT a sponsored video, this was my own little trip.
There are also a number of other audio tours about Bristol which guide you through the history of the city.
The tour I chose takes you back to Bristol’s pirate past around the old city and harbour with stories about Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island, the real Robinson Crusoe and the privateers of 18th century Bristol.
The Bristol audio tours take about 1 to 2 hours to complete depending on how long you stop and are definitely worth giving a go.
The main stops on the Bristol Quayside Walk:
1:40 The Merchants Venturers Almshouses, King Street
2:44 The Theatre Royal, King Street
3:04 The Llandoger Trow
4:07 Welsh Back
4:49 Queen Square
6:01 Woodes Rogers, Merchant and Privateer
6:51 The Hole in the Wall pub
7:50 Redcliffe Caves
8:46 The Ostrich Inn
9:01 Bristol Harbour

Street Art, Bristol, England from Travel with Iva Jasperson
Street Art, Bristol, England from Travel with Iva Jasperson
Hello everyone...
Bristol is a city straddling the River Avon in the southwest of England with a prosperous maritime history. Its former city-centre port is now a cultural hub, the Harbourside, where the M Shed museum explores local social and industrial heritage. The harbour's 19th-century warehouses now contain restaurants, shops and cultural institutions such as contemporary art gallery The Arnolfini.

Clifton (2019) Bristol, UK What to see in 1 Day - Town to Suspension Bridge
As close to being there, without being there. Do drop us a line in the comments to let us know your thoughts and tips on Bristol.
If you're wondering what to see in 1 Day, join us for this virtual tour of Clifton in Bristol, as we make our way to the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge - the symbol of the city.
We start in Victoria Square and walk through to Boyce's Avenue - site of the Clifton Arcade as well as many charming cafes, coffee shops and independent retailers such as the Primrose Cafe, Saffron, Reg the Veg and Papersmiths.
We cross the road and follow Princess Victoria Street - taking time to explore it's wealth of independent shops, restaurants and cafes, detouring along the way to discover Waterloo Street and The Mall.
Back on Princess Victoria Street, we follow it down to the White Lion on Sion Hill, where we turn right to catch our first view of the iconic Victorian Clifton Suspension Bridge.
We pass the Old Clifton Rocks Railway on our way uphill towards the toll booth at the start of the bridge. Walking onto the bridge gives us a stunning view of the Avon Gorge below on this sunny but windy day.
We continue for an even better view and wind our way up to the Clifton Observatory above St Vincent's Rocks. This site, (which houses a cave once used as a temple in ancient times - known also as Ghyston's cave or Giant's Cave) provides a stunning view of the entire span of the bridge as it straddles the Avon Gorge.

Bristol, England - Travel Around The World | Top best places to visit in Bristol
Top best places to visit in Bristol, England
Bristol, the largest city in South West England, is one of the most interesting cities in the UK.
This city has an eclectic combination of architectural styles and is one of the most culturally vibrant towns in England. By locals Bristol is called Brizzle or Bristle.
A good place to start exploring the city is the Castle Park with the ruins of St Peter’s Church and the ruins of Bristol Castle.
This used to be a network of busy streets and shops until it was bombed during the second world war.
In the Old Town there are plenty of interesting buildings from most of the architectural periods of the UK.
In this neighborhood there also is the Queen Square, a garden with the Statue of William III.
A short walk from there is the St Mary Radcliffe Church.
Which has been a place of Christian worship for over 900 years.
But the most prominent church is the Bristol Cathedral.
Founded in the Norman era it is the seat of the diocese of Bristol.
Besides the cathedral on College Green are also the Central Library and the City Hall, the seat of local government.
Not far away from there is the Georgian House, a well-preserved example of a typical 18th century town house.
The next place to go is the city’s major museum, the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery,
And a landmark of the University of Bristol, the Wills Memorial Building.
Further along the same street are the Royal West of England Academy of Art and the Victoria Rooms.
Possibly the city’s most famous landmark, spanning the spectacular Avon Gorge and the River Avon at a height of 75m, is the Clifton Suspension Bridge.
On top of the Clifton Hill, right at the bridge, is a nice park and the Observatory with camera obscura and an entrance to the cave.
In Clifton district is one of the most expensive streets in the city.
Royal York Crescent, which was reputed to be the longest terrace in Europe.
The best place to see the city from high up is Cabot Tower on Brandon Hill.
From there, there is a nice view of the Old Town,
And Harbor.

Banksy Artwork Street Tour: the Famous Vandal of Bristol
While in Bristol, we did a Banksy Artwork walking tour through the street to see the remaining pieces of the infamous artist vandal with no known identity. We found pieces like the Mild Mild West, the Rose Trap, and more!
It's definitely something cool to do if you are a fan of Banksy, or, if you just appreciate street art at all, because the city of Bristol has art that's at a different level than other cities, mostly due to the bar being set so high by Banksy.
