On Friday 12-Sep-20014, In conjunction with the Canadian Big Band Celebration Event in Saugeen Shores, the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Center held a free entertainment evening. Makin Waves sang various songs in the Museum lobby prior to the main entertainment in the auditorium. This is one of the songs that I recorded. We had a very good time.
Makin' Waves is a women's barbershop chorus directed by Pat Bowers, Southampton. The choir performs at a variety of functions and venues throughout the year.

set up and working as a demonstration exhibit at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre in Southampton, Ontario. It is typical of what was used in early lighthouses along Georgian Bay and Lake Huron, Ontario.

Anthony Wayne was a United States Army officer, statesman, and member of the United States House of Representatives. Wayne adopted a military career at the outset of the American Revolutionary War, where his military exploits and fiery personality quickly earned him promotion to brigadier general and the sobriquet Mad Anthony. He later served as General in Chief of the Army and commanded the Legion of the United States.

David Sharron
Head of Special Collections and Archives in the James A. Gibson Library, Brock University
David Sharron holds a master's degree in History with an Archives Specialization and is a certified archivist. Sharron has been working in the archival administration and library fields for more than 12 years. He has had diverse experiences working with archival records and books, beginning with a federal institution at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Tex., to a municipal/community archive at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre in Southampton, Ont., and now at a post-secondary institution - Brock University.
Presenting the Sankey Collection in Masonic Studies:
David Sharron will be presenting on the development of the Masonic Book Collection in the Special Collections and Archives in the James A. Gibson Library from its beginnings with Dr. Charles Sankey to its present and future where modern technology will meet the printed word through a digitization project.

About the Sankey Lecture Series:
This annual lecture series is named in honour of R.W. Bro. Charles A. Sankey (1905-2009). Dr. Sankey served as Chancellor of Brock University from 1969 to 1974. A renowned Masonic scholar, he was active in all the concordant bodies of Masonry including the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite, the Royal Order of Scotland, and Royal Arch Masons. His extensive collection of rare Masonic books and papers is in the Special Collections of the James Gibson Library at Brock, providing a rich resource for research scholars and students.
