Bunhill Fields with Alice Ford-Smith | Medical London
Bunhill Fields is a 17th-century burial ground for nonconformist Christians on the outskirts of the City of London, opened in 1657 and closed in the mid-19th century. Daniel Defoe, author of Robinson Crusoe, is buried here.
This video is from Medical London, a book and website about 2000 years of health and sickness in the capital city, featuring seven self-guided walks. Bunhill Fields is a point of interest on the second walk, 'In the Footsteps of Daniel Defoe: A journey through the 'Journal of the Plague Year''.

Bunhill Fields is in the London Borough of Islington. It is largely fenced off, and is now a public park. However, the graves of William Blake and Daniel Defoe are very accessible (much to my surprise!). It contains around 120,000 bodies.
Further information can be found on the City of London website at including opening hours, history, burial records, and details about guided tours.

William Blake's Grave
William Blake (1757 to 1827) was one of the finest English poets and writers. He was also a brilliant and unique artist. Most of all he was a general nonconformist and free spirit. His work was inspired by a deep and profound spiritual understanding that has inspired many other artists, including Neil Hague who illustrates David Icke's books, see: He was buried in the famous cemetary, Bunhill Fields in London.
