Katy Perry to headline Radio 1's Big Weekend in Hull
Katy Perry has been revealed as a headliner for Radio 1's Big Weekend in Hull.
Little Mix, Kings of Leon and Stormzy have already been announced for the event, which takes place on 27 and 28 May.
Katy, who headlined Big Weekend in Glasgow in 2014, announced the news on the Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw.
Grimmy has told me all about Hull and we've already set up a date to the Yorkshire pudding factory, she said.
Radio 1's Big Weekend is always a blast and I'm so happy to be able to make it to Hull alongside the incredible line-up.

We visited a Car Show organised by The Cambridge and Oxford Owners Club (COOC); to which our Club, East Yorkshire Thorough Bred Car Club, had been invited. The location was the beautiful Burton Agnes Hall near Bridlington, East Riding of Yorkshire. This Hall has been in single family ownership for 500plus years and has some of the most elegant Award Winning Colour Themed gardens we know.
This is a brief look around that day, the weather was Sunny and bright but so windy.

The Sesh is the brainchild of Mark Page aka Mak, who in 2001 wanted to provide a platform for local musicians at The Linnet & Lark every Tuesday night. With humble beginnings, the Sesh quickly established itself as a community event that Hull could be proud of.
Fifteen years later and the regular Tuesday Sesh has become legendary within the city, catering for emerging bands from across the UK along with the hundreds of talented local acts. The Sesh (located at the legendary ‘Polar Bear‘ on Springbank, Hull) still maintains itself as a free entry event.
The night brings together local creatives, from photographers, writers and local podcast shows, to help promote the bands. Fatherson, Plague Vendor and Skaters are just a few names to have graced the stage in the last twelve months alongside over a 1000 performances during it’s history.
