Beijing's CITIC tower, also known as China Zun, soars 109 stories above China's capital. Designed by PFT, the skyscraper was topped out in late 2018 and recently opened to the public. Shenzhen China | Xiasha Village
In this video I am joined by two new friends to go and explore the village of Xiasha. Xiasha is located in the middle of the modern city of Shenzhen. It has held on to a lot of it's buildings and culture from before Shenzhen exploded into the modern city that we all know today. It was a fun and interesting day. I had no idea that a place like this existed within the city of Shenzhen. Follow us as we explore this interesting part of Shenzhen.
Welcome to my channel! I'm Patrick and this is Patmax Adventures! I'm originally from California and have been living abroad for the past four years. My focus will always be on the culture, food and of course the local people of everywhere I travel to! I'm an optimist and always try to highlight the positives of a place rather than just the negatives.Though I will also be bluntly honest at times too! If you love travel and exploring far away places, then you found the right place!

Lee and Justin Explore Shenzhen, China
Toledo, like so many other mid-size Midwestern cities, faces numerous economic challenges. Among them, high unemployment, a struggling manufacturing base, and population decline. When Michael Bell ran for Mayor, he promised a different approach, a global approach to creating economic development, and jobs. That approach would take him halfway around the world, where he would develop business, and personal relationships with a group of Chinese investors. With the city's economic future at stake, 13abc felt Toledoans deserved a look at this economic development push for themselves. Anchor Lee Conklin and Photojournalist Justin Billau traveled with Bell and the Toledo Business Delegation to various cities in China, including Shenzhen, the country's fastest growing metropolis, as well as Beijing. Conklin and Billau captured the sights and sounds of the journey, providing reports for seven consecutive days.
Originally aired in 2009.
Market in Hubei Village/ Luohu District near Dongmen, Shenzhen
It seems that there is nothing what you can't buy at this market, for sure mostly alive. A sheer variety of animals including cobras, crocodile, groundhog, bamboo rat and seafood. Going in there wasn't an easy decision, but I had to see it!

Guangzhou Tianhe Info:
Tianhe District (Chinese: 天河区) is one of the eleven districts of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province. In Chinese, the name Tianhe literally means a river in the sky/heavens, which is also a Chinese name for the Milky Way. It is bordered by Yuexiu District on the west, Baiyun District on the north and Huangpu District on the east. Haizhu District is on its south, though they are separated by the Pearl River.
Tianhe became a district in the 1980s as the city expanded its size. Back then, it was east of Dongshan District (which was merged into Yuexiu in 2005) and it was more suburban-like if not rural like. Even though a majority of colleges and universities in the city were located in the district, the rest of the district was mostly composed of rice fields.
Symbolic landmarks of Guangzhou located in Tianhe District are Citic Plaza, Guangzhou International Finance Center, Guangzhou Opera House, and the Guangdong Museum. The 6th and 9th of The National Games of the People's Republic of China and the 2010 Asian Games were also held in Tianhe District, Guangzhou.
