Triple Header... A Day Exploring! (4K)
Back in our Easter Holidays, whilst visiting family, we had a day out exploring some of the railways which can be visited if in the Milton Keynes/Hemel Hempstead regions of the UK.
In one day, we managed to visit three railways, though when we arrived at the last one, they were shutting - but a big thanks to the owner who offered to show us the sheds!

My commute to work, OFP to VWFS, though the city of Milton Keynes
A 6 mile cycle ride (@ triple speed!) to work one spring morning, along the streets, roads and cycle ways (redways) of Milton Keynes, starting in the far south east corner, finishing in the north east. Published to encourage other citizens of MK, and those working there, to get out on their bikes and enjoy this wonderful green place. For those of you who only know Milton Keynes from its roundabouts and 60/70 mph grid roads, yes, this video is of the very same place....it looks much different from a bike!
(Vid 9) Pretendolino at Milton Keynes & Wolverton
Virgin Trains has in strategic reserve a rake of Mk 3 Loco Hauled Coaches (a.k.a.Pretendolino) for use with a hired in DB Schenker Class 90 loco when Pendolinos are unavailable. Normally on a Friday this train does a driver familiarisation run from Wembley to Northampton and back before a trip in the evening to Preston.
However this particular day, due to the amount of volcanic ash coming from Iceland, effectiveley closing British airspace, a couple of Pendolinos were rediagrammed on to Anglo Scottish specials, which meant the 'Pretendolino' being put into passenger service earlier in the day than normal.
We see it leave Milton Keynes northbound and pass Wolverton southbound.
As this camera (KODAK Easyshare Z915) doesn't have a smooth transition from zoom to normal and backl, you do hear a lot of clicking whilst this operation is carried out

Action packed day with my Awesome Team :) There was archery, climbing, abseiling, canoeing, running, caving and a BBQ. Such fun:)
