Avro Lancaster and B-29 Superfortress FIFI @ Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum August 28, 2018
IN THIS VIDEO:
Hello everyone! Welcome to this video!
Here is a sight only very few are fortunate to have so I am incredibly lucky to have had this experience. A flight seen with an Avro Lancaster and a B-29 Superfortress, two World War II bombers for which there are only two each that are in airworthy condition on the planet.
Most already know the story of the Avro Lancaster, or VRA as she is known as here in Hamilton, owned by the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. Today, she got reunited with FIFI, one of two airworthy B-29 Superfortress' on the planet who is owned by the Commemorative Air Force currently on an eastern North American tour.
Since Hamilton is the last Canadian stop on the tour, the guys at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum thought it would be an amazing idea to get the Superfortress to perform with the Lancaster at the upcoming Community Charity Airshow of 2018 held in Brantford, Ontario and why in the hell wouldn't it be! ;) This would mark the first time they flew together since June of 2012 which is also the last time that I saw FIFI.
Seen here in the video is the practice flight which was delayed from 1400hrs to 1730hrs due to heavy winds on this day at the time of departure. Then, when 1730hrs came around, both aircraft started up with incredible sound and departed off of RWY 30 to practice the flyby's in Brantford before returning with an overhead of Hamilton and landing back on RWY 30. What an amazing sight that I was so fortunate to see!
Enjoy the video everyone! And I'll catch you all in the next one!

The Tour at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in July of 2019
I revisited this unique and living history aviation museum in the City of Hamilton. The museum is an only 1-hour drive from the City of Toronto, Ontatio, Canada. This museum has many aircraft displays that are airworthy which include the Avro Lancaster which it is one of two flying Lancaster bomber are still flying in the world.

2017 RCAF CF-18 Hornet Demo Team's Demo Hornet @ Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum May 24, 2017
IN THIS VIDEO:
Hello everyone! Welcome to this video! Here's something I've been wanting to catch this year for a while! The 2017 RCAF CF-18 Hornet Demo Team's Demo Jet. This RCAF CF-18 Hornet is specially painted to celebrate Canada's 150th and honestly, its one of the best Hornet paint schemes I've seen ever in my personal opinion. The Hornet is visiting the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton, Ontario as a preview of what their is to see of it at the airshows in Toronto and Brantford this year. Today, it visited from 1500-1700hrs local time and then tomorrow it will be around from 0900-1200hrs local time before departing towards its next show.
The Hornet arrived shortly after 1500hrs local time at John C. Munro Hamilton Int'l, being given RWY 06 by the Tower cause it was the closest RWY to land on and the fact that their was a pit of photographers read to shoot it there. After doing several low breaks it landed RWY 06 where I got it before heading inside to catch it being towed in and staying around for the media action. It was fantastic! The Hornet was gorgeous as always, met several familiar faces and even got a shot with Matthew Glib Kutryk. It was an amazing event that I was glad to be apart of. Now to catch it an airshow! Enjoy the video! :)

Community Charity Airshow 2017 - Brantford Ontario
Highlights from the Community Charity Airshow on Wednesday August 30, 2017 at the Brantford Municipal Airport!
The Community Charity Airshow is the new name for the former Rotary Charity Airshow at Brantford Airport. Beginning in 1999, the community of Brantford and surrounding areas were first introduced to an Airshow courtesy of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds. Since then, the community has embraced the tradition of an Airshow the Wednesday prior to Labour Day as a family friendly summer activity for the whole family. The event has grown in size and proudly showcases military and civilian performers. The widely popular event raises funds for local charities - the Rotary Club of Brantford and Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum - while entertaining spectators and showcasing the thrill of aviation.
This year, crowds were treated to demonstrations by:
- The CF-18 Demonstratin Team from the Royal Canadian Air Forc
- North American B-25 Mitchell from The Candian Warplane Heritage Museum
- The Canadian Forces Snowbirds
- The Hamilton Sport Parachute Club
- Canadair T-33 Mako Shark from The Waterloo Warbirds
- A World War I Replica Demo by the Great War Flying Museum
- BAC Strikemaster with Danny Richer
- Rafferty Javelin Aerobatics by Trevor Rafferty
- PBY Canso and DC-3 Dakota from The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum
- Yak-50 aerobatics by Gord Price
and so many more......
It was a tremendous show, and cannot wait for next year!

Brantford 2019 Airshow Highlights from Runway 23 - The Danger Zone
On the 20th Anniversary of attending airshows together, my son Jack and I once again meet up at our favorite airshow-viewing-spot, to watch the Warplane Heritage display at the Brantford ON Airshow in late August. Here we are situated near the threshold or Runway 23 with Jack's pal Josh who is joining us for the day. Thanks are always in order to the amazing skillful and dedicated Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, and their family and friends who always make this thrilling experience for us and the folks of Brantford, especially too since it's on a Wednesday afternoon.
Happy Anniversary Jack! This day was awesome!
