Caminhada pela Praia de Canasvieiras no outono, abril de 2019 - Semana Santa.
O balneário de Canasvieiras se torna, durante o verão, um dos destinos mais movimentados da ilha. Está localizado na região norte, entre as praias de Jurerê e Cachoeira do Bom Jesus. As águas calmas e a infraestrutura da região fazem de Canasvieiras um local para passear em família ou com amigos.
É a praia de Florianópolis preferida dos turistas do Cone Sul. Durante a alta temporada, Canasvieiras vira um verdadeiro recanto praiano para famílias e jovens argentinos, uruguaios e paraguaios. Por conta disso, muitos estabelecimentos oferecem serviços bilíngues, e não é difícil inclusive encontrar jornais argentinos. Nas ruas, placas escritas em espanhol e vendedores arriscando o idioma são comuns.
Devido à grande infraestrutura, Canasvieiras funciona como uma pequena cidade. Conta com serviços de saúde, polícia, supermercado e comércio.
Nos dias de sol, o lazer e os serviços vão até a praia, com vendedores ambulantes e espaços reservados para a prática de esportes. À noite, não falta diversão. As ruas do centrinho são próximas, então vale a pena passear a pé e ver os artistas de rua, parar em um bar ou comprar souvenirs.
Características Naturais de Canasvieiras
O mar de Canasvieiras fica aberto para o norte, e é intermediário entre o mar oceânico e o de baía. As águas, calmas, mornas (variação entre 23 e 26º no verão) e com ondas suaves, são ideais para um dia de diversão para famílias com crianças. As ondas se estendem na praia por mais de 50 metros pela suavidade do declive do fundo do mar, dando a Canasvieiras a classificação de Praia Rasa.
O mar ganha um brilhante tom esverdeado quando bate sol (em dias de céu azul). A areia é fina e amarelada, boa para andar descalço.
Ao norte, a praia faz divisa com a praia da Cachoeira do Bom Jesus. Esta divisão ocorre apenas por convenção social, pois não há limite físico. A oeste, termina na Ponta dos Morretes. Tem 2,2 km de extensão, aproximadamente, com faixas de areia que variam em larguras de 8 a 60 metros.
História de Canasvieiras
Não se sabe bem de onde vem o nome Canasvieiras. Em um mapa da região datado de 1786, o registro encontrado é Praia Cana Vieiras. Provavelmente, a praia ganhou este nome por uma variedade de cana que, ou existia no local ou foi cultivada pelos açorianos que deram início à pequena Vila de São Francisco de Paula das Cana Vieiras. O fundamento da vila foi registrado em 1754. Lá, se cultivava a agricultura e a pecuária. Posteriormente, a pesca se firmou como principal atividade da praia.
Os ranchos de pescadores foram desaparecendo à medida que o balneário foi crescendo e hoje já não é possível encontrá-los. Por conta da boa qualidade da água e por ser seguro (próximo às fortalezas de Santa Cruz do Anhatomirim e de São José da Ponta Grossa), tornou-se o primeiro balneário do município de Florianópolis. O uso da vila como balneário cresceu rapidamente. Para impulsionar este crescimento, a prefeitura, em 1956, projetou áreas específicas em ruas e lotes para vender. Hoje, é um dos principais pólos balneários do sul do país.

Our next destination was Florianopolis, Santa Catarina, a peninsula on the South east coast of Brazil. This place offers a lot of magical experiences. With over more than 40 beaches around this city without counting the small islands nearby.
Gastronomic level, this city is best known for fishing with a lot of local fishermen who sell their fish at low prices directly at the exit of the boat.
The places we visited:
ILHA DO CAMPECHE: a beautiful island with crystal clear water and white sand. Accessible by boat from Praia do Campeche or Praia Armaçao, 40 minutes in small fishing boats.
PRAIA DO CAMPECHE: It is located right in front of the island, very large and not far from the city center.
PRAIA AND TRILHA DO NAUFRAGADOS: A beach accessible only after a 40-minute hike or by boat. Once on this beach, another more sporty hike awaits you to climb the top of the mountain to admire the view of the entire beach. An ideal beach for surf lovers.
PRAIA AND SANDBOARD DO JOAQUIM: A beach filled with huge sand dunes that allow you to practice snowboarding on sand, an atypical activity that is worth a visit
Recipe
Garoupe fillet, crispy Brazilian polenta, vegetables from the local market and papaya vinaigrette.
FISH: 1 Garoupe (equivalent to the grouper in France)
Scale and empty the fish
Filet the fish and portion into nice square sizes.
Sear in olive oil then drizzle with foaming butter
POLENTA: 200g of fine corn polenta, 50cl of milk, ½ chopped onion, 50g of parmesan, 30g of butter
Sweat the chopped onion, add the polenta and roast without coloring. add the milk little by little over very low heat. Stir constantly. Once the cooking is finished, on a high heat, add parmesan cheese and small squares of butter. Portion into rectangles slices then make it nice and golden using a pan with butter..
VEGETABLES: 1 beetroot, 1 carrot, 1 butternut, 1 dragon fruit, 4 baby onions
Cook all the vegetables in a Barigoule: sweated onions and garlic, thym, white wine and garlic.
Reheat with a knob of butter
VIRGIN SAUCE: 1 papaya, 1 tomato, 1 spring onion, olive oil,
Cut the papaya and the tomato in brunoise (small cubes)
Spring onion (very fine)
Season with olive oil, salt and pepper.

Brazil Travels: Florianopolis - DJI Phantom Drone GoPro [Part 1]
[Part 1] We made it to Florianópolis, Santa Catarina. This was the first of 3 stops in Brazil. Brazil is the homeland of my girlfriend Charity and I couldn't wait for her to show me where she grew up.
Florianópolis is known for its beautiful beaches, nightlife and surf, exactly what I needed.
We booked an awesome cabin in the the woods that belongs to pro surfer Marco Polo Soares. Marco Polo went above and beyond, picking us up from the airport, taking us to the coolest surf spots and was overall an exceptional host (info below).
The cabin was located in Lagoa da Conceição, it was in opinion the best area to call home while in Floripa as its centrally located offering a lively downtown and located extremely close to some of the best beaches on the island such as Mole beach, Joaquina beach and Barra da Lagoa.
Stay tuned for part 2 and 3 traveling through Buzios and Rio.

I spent 48 hours on the beautiful island of Floripa and made it my mission to experience as many of the 42 beaches as possible.

Best Beaches of Florianopolis:
Campeche Beach - One of the widest and longest stretching beaches in Florianopolis.
Joaquina Beach - Famous for its big sand dunes and surfing breaks, Joaquina has long been the most popular beach in Floripa.
Mole Beach - In recent years, Mole beach is taking over Joaquina's thrown as the ultimate hot spot for the young, cool crowd. Come here to surf or hangout and stay for the beautiful women of Floripa!
Jureré / Jureré Internacional - This part of the island is dedicated to the rich and famous. Huge homes, beautiful beach and lots of money to go around. There is also a really cool fort close to Jureré Internacional that you should check out while you're in the area.
Santinho Beach - Off the beaten path and a little bit of a task getting there, Santinho is a great spot to escape the crowds. Although there's a big resort on one end of the beach, if you time it right you'll have more than enough space to enjoy the beauty of rolling green hills crashing down into the ocean.
Lagoinha do Leste - Absolute paradise. As you saw from the video, it takes a little while to get there, but that makes it all the better. Come during high season and you'll have to share the space with surfers... a small price to pay for perfection.

O IMA (Instituto do Meio Ambiente) divulgou um novo relatório que aponta que 69% dos 85 pontos analisados em Florianópolis estão próprios para banho.
Na praia de Canasvieiras, cinco dos oito pontos analisados estão impróprios para banho e todos localizados no lado esquerdo da praia.

We left Sao Paulo, Brazil and made our way to Florianópolis, it's an island in the South of Brazil and is well knowns for some of Brazils best beaches. Florianopolis is located in Santa Catarina state It's famous for its beaches, including popular resort areas such as Praia dos Ingleses at the island's northern tip. Its Lagoa da Conceição, a saltwater lagoon, is popular for windsurfing and boating. The Pedro Ivo Campos Bridge connects the island to a mainland commercial district.
We will take you to Joaquina Beach, Praia Grande, Campeche Beach and other famous beaches in Florianopolis.
Getting to Florianopolis is very easy and there are regular flights from Sao Paulo daily. We recommend flying with AZUL or GOL and took book your flights directly through the airlines website.
