Cape Peninsula Tour by Sidecar | South Africa Travel Vlog
Come join us as we explore the Cape Peninsula by sidecar tour with Cape Sidecar Adventures ( as a day trip from Cape Town, South Africa in our latest travel vlog. Our guide Bradley was awesome and our first order of business was to put on leather jackets, a helmet with cool goggles and a bandana. We took turns riding in the sidecar and on the back of the motorcycle as we visited Muizenberg, Simon's Town, Shark Spotters, Boulders Beach (to visit a penguin colony), Cape Point, The Cape of Good Hope, Chapman's Peak and Camps Bay just to name a few. Overall, it was an awesome outing and something we highly recommend for anybody visiting Cape Town or Stellenbosch.

Cape Peninsula Tour by Sidecar | South Africa Travel Vlog video transcript:
Well good morning good morning. It is a beautiful day here in Cape Town. And today we're going on an excursion. We're going to be traveling down to the Cape Peninsula. But this just isn't any regular tour. We are going in sidecars. Yeah. Sidecars.
So confession time. We actually did a sidecar tour when we were in Stellenbosch last week but it was a taster. It was a very short tour. This time around it is a full day thing. All day.
Yeah, I'd say this is a better fit. So we're just suiting up here. So I'm putting it on the leather jacket and next up is the bandana.
That fits good doesn't it Audrey? Double jackets. Looking good. It is winter here in Cape Town so biker gal.
And the coolest thing I have to say about this helmet is just the sunglasses. They are kind of like sunglass goggles.
So for now you can take this down but if you need it when you're on the bike if you're behind another car or fumes or a lot of wind in your face just pop it up.
I'm going to make bikers out of you today. Bradley is going to make a biker out of us.
Okay, first stop on the tour. First stop of the day. So we're basically overlooking Muizenberg here. Yeah. And we've got some incredible views. Like way off in the distance you can see some mist and we've just got like yeah such a nice day. This time of year it should be like cold and rainy but we've really lucked out.
So our next stop here is at the Shark Spotters and this guy is actually looking for sharks down in the water because there is a whole bunch of surfers down there.
So we made it to the Cape of Good Hope so we're paying our fee. It is a 135 Rand per person.
Sammy boy. You've been riding in the sidecar all along. How are you enjoying it? It has been so cool.
So we made it to the Cape of Good Hope and this is the South-Western most point on the African continent. There is this big sign where you can have your photo taken.
We're egging Sam on to see how close he can get to the ostrich.
So we grabbed a snack. Spicy beef biltong and we've also ordered pizzas. And we love our biltong. Let's start with biltong.
And for those who have never tried Biltong it is basically like the South African style of jerky.
I've seen signs here for baboons. Apparently they roam around and they like to steal your food.
Alright, time for the big unveil. We ordered pizza. The Napolitan.
This one has avocado, bacon and feta.
The update is we are out of breath but enjoying the views from the top. Oh, come on. It wasn't that hard of a climb. If we come here a 3rd time I'm taking the funicular.
Next up we have made it to Boulders Beach where the main attraction is penguins, penguins and more penguins. There is a colony of penguins here and we're going to go check it out.
So time for an update. We are currently driving Chapman's Peak and I think this is probably the most beautiful part of the drive so far today. The scenery is just stunning and the color of the water it is like turquoise and blue and green. I know. And the sun is out. And it is just incredible and that is saying a lot because most of the scenery on this drive today has been really incredible but this just takes the cake and then the icing on top with the cherry. Oh, it has got everything.

Cape Peninsula Day Trip by Bike (not the best idea on a Sunday!)
The glorious spring weather in Cape Town had us heading out on the bike for the day. In retrospect not the best move as the rest of Cape Town had the same idea! :-)
After breakfast at Hudson's (Vredenheim Estate) just outside Stellenbosch, we took the coastal route all along False Bay (past Muizenberg, Fish Hoek, and Simonstown) to Cape Point.
Two Oceans restaurant at Cape Point turned us away as the 'deck is closed due to bad weather - disappointing. Especially as it's the ONLY restaurant.
At around 4:50 in the video you will see something that happens all too often around Cape Point - very aggressive baboons accosting anyone carrying foodstuffs. This time it was funny but please take care when you visit Cape Point to NEVER carry food around and be very careful when you have any handbags or backpacks as the baboons will steal it from you in a flash.

Sidecar ride in Cape Town #GhanaMeetSouthAfrica
Sidecar city tour, Cape Town
Radha and Gurjap experience a unique Sidecar City Tour through Cape Town -- from the dizzying heights of Chapman's peak to the glamour of Camp's Bay.
Radha: For Gurjap and I, the best part of today was meeting our hosts, Kamini Pather and Leeson Naidu, Indians who describe themselves as South African first and foremost. I guess that tells you a lot about a place.
With the wind whipping our faces, we got to see some of the prettiest places, including a windy mountainous pass called Chapman's Peak. The view stretched as far as the eye could see. There's no word to describe it but 'Magnificent!'.
Cape Side Cars Tours
One different and fantastic way to tour in Cape Town and surroundings. There are 25 side cars and you get to be picked up at the airport if you so wish. Everything is taken care of.

Global Running Day @ The Westin Cape Town (5-Star Hotel Review)
Apparently I have some sort of influencer status that I’m unaware of.
The lovely peeps at the Westin Cape Town invited me for a jaunt around the most visited spot in Africa: the V&A Waterfront. This was for Global Running Day (a day I didn’t even know existed). I didn’t think you needed a dedicated day to get out into the sun to run, but I love the concept.
The Westin Cape Town (and globally), are promoting three pillars of wellness: Eat Well, Sleep Well and Move Well.
Caveat: I was not paid, but all expenses like meals, food, lodging and drinks were supplied. Also, I think we have to distinguish between ‘wellness’ and ‘health.’ Wellness is living well — not necessarily eating low-carb (which in my opinion is health) or prioritising fitness regimes.
Thanks for the great experience Westin Cape Town.

Stellenbosch and Cape Town: Wine and Adventure in South Africa
A visit to South Africa's Western Cape was about more than just the world-renowned wines of #Stellenbosch. It was a grand adventure in the region as a whole - in cosmopolitan Cape Town, in Stellenbosch's University town, with scooters, segways and sidecars through and around vineyards and hiking in the mountainous valleys. Here's a taster of what to do in South Africa. #Stellenblog
