The Santiago de Cuba Carnival goes on for several days in the usually rather hot last week of July. Every year this popular Carnival in Cuba takes place at the western part of the island becoming in a whole week of culture, cuban music, party and dancing.

During the last weekends of August, there are carnivals and festivals in Cuba. A group of this festival walked in the residents areas of central Havana. This clip shows the aura of the ordinary people and life in Havana.

La Comparsa San Cristobal de La Habana del municipio 10 de Octubre ha presentado (en mi opinión) el espectáculo más completo para celebrar el 500 Aniversario de La Habana. Los Reyes del Color (muy bien el diseño del vestuario) han unido en esta presentación varios elementos tradicionales que caracterizan a la Habana, y aún sin tener carroza, han podido fusionar música en vivo y grabada con excelente calidad. El detalle de llevar a un declamador al espectáculo y mencionar las calles de La Habana (Prado, Teniente Rey, 23...) siempre se agradece y nos recuerda que el carnaval no solo es baile y música.
