Why the Irish Cadbury products are the best
Note: an interesting note from someone who works with Cadbury. It was only Creme Egg that changed post Kraft and that the Irish has always been creamier. The more you know!
This weekend Tom wastes your time by eating Irish and English Dairy Milk products. Which is better? Is there really a difference? These are all the things you'll learn plus more...
Included is how Tom makes a cup of tea plus a quick look at how he really thinks of himself.

BOBBIO: 6 Louis XIV The Sun King: Dungarvan Shopping Centre, Ireland
Entering the Dungarvan Shopping Centre. I like this place as it has got a lot of light and is always a hive of activity. Walking through the Centre I am catching on my right: on the second rack of the Eason newspaper stand, a light purple banner carrying a photograph and a heading on the front page of the Irish Examiner [LIFE/STYLE From Dev to Versailles - Alan Rickman’s role as King Louis shows his penchant for playing real people: 14]. I like this king’s formal style: “Louis XIV, par la grace de Dieu, roi de France et de Navarre - Louis XIV, by the Grace of God, King of France and of Navarre”.
With exiting the Centre I am reading the sign overhead: “Thank you for shopping at Dungarvan Shopping Centre. Go raibh maith agat as do Shiopadóireacht a dhéanamh Linn.” Walking along by the WLR FM studio, and along High Street, and by the sculpture “Daily Balance” of a man rolling a milk churn. Entering Grattan Square.
From Prologue
Waiting for the lights to change at the Bank of Ireland on to T.F. Meagher Street. Looking down towards Lawlor’s Hotel; to its iron balcony. I am finding myself thinking about Michael Collins’s visit here on Sunday, the 26th March 1922. He was almost kidnapped that day. After being rescued he went on to give a rousing speech from the balcony of the Devonshsire Arms Hotel. Sad to have to say it in this way, but wasn’t he ‘taken out’ almost five months to the day over Bandon (Droichead na Bandan) way.
From Prologue
Turning and beginning to look clockwise around the square at the signs. I love reading signs wherever I go for they always say something to me other than their obvious message. For some reason my eyes are alighting on Nagle’s Bar Est. 2014. A Dungarvan woman: a Mrs. Nagle is coming to mind. What an amazingly courageous person who on Tuesday, the 4th December 1649 went up and offered a flagon of refreshment to Oliver Cromwell (1599-1658) upon him and his exhausted army entering the town. Her gallant action is said to have caused him to revoke his order for the massacre of the townspeople, and the destruction of the town. Most likely however, it had a lot more to do with his ‘Me and my troops are Divinely Chosen’ extremist mind set, in that …

DUP Leader 'Confident' In Assembly Elections
As election counts continue across the country, Mrs Foster has claimed her party is on course to again emerge as the largest in the Northern Ireland Assembly.
The DUP leader topped the poll in Fermanagh and South Tyrone, after she was elected on the first count with more than 8,000 first preference votes.
Mrs Foster said: I feel great, it is a great endorsement of our campaign and I am absolutely delighted.
I am confident that I will be the First Minister of Northern Ireland.
During the election campaign, she placed particular onus on beating Sinn Feinn's Martin McGuinness in the race to see which one of them takes the job.
It would require a significant electoral turnaround for Sinn Fein to topple the DUP as the largest party.
DUP East Antrim representative David Hilditch was the first MLA returned to Parliament Buildings.
Gerry Carroll, of the People Before Profit Alliance, stormed home in west Belfast, topping the poll ahead of high-profile Sinn Fein rivals.
This year, 703,744 people voted, a turnout of 54.91%, which is slightly down from the figure of 55.71% in the 2011 Assembly election.
SDLP leader Colum Eastwood has predicted an Independents' day across Northern Ireland.
The 33-year-old, presiding over his first election in charge of the party, said early results appeared to show a voter trend in the Republic spreading across the border.
This is the year of the Independents, he said.
We have seen it in the south, we've seen it in west Belfast, we've seen it right across the north, where people who are frustrated with the lack of delivery from this executive are voting Independent in large numbers.
A total of 276 candidates stood for 108 seats across 18 constituencies.
The final outcome of the vote is not expected until Saturday afternoon

1963 Ronnie Carroll - Say Wonderful Things To Me
1963 Ronnie Carroll - Say Wonderful Things To Me
Ronnie Carroll (18 August 1934 – 13 April 2015) was a Northern Irish singer and entertainer and political candidate.Carroll was born Ronald Cleghorn in Roslyn Street, Belfast, Northern Ireland, in 1934. Through work in variety theatre he met his first wife, Millicent Martin. He scored his first hit in 1956 with Walk Hand in Hand on the Philips label. Having taken part in the 1960 UK Eurovision selection contest with the song Girl with a Curl, he returned to win the selection and be Britain's entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1962, and with the song Ring-a-Ding Girl shared fourth place, the same placing he reached in 1963 with another British Eurovision Song Contest entry, Say Wonderful Things. Carroll is the only singer to have represented the UK in the competition two years in succession. This success was followed by two Top 10 hits during 1962 and 1963, but a lack of good material meant that he could not sustain a chart presence.
Carroll subsequently worked on cruise ships, including the QE2, with John Marcangelo who was the drummer with the Ronnie Carroll Orchestra. He played a pop musician named 'Ronnie' in the 1965 film Man in the Dark.
He contested Hampstead and Highgate in the 1997 UK General Election, and the Uxbridge by-election in July 1997, both for the Rainbow Alliance. In the 2005 he released a comeback album, Back on Song. He stood in the 2008 Haltemprice and Howden by-election as a candidate for Make Politicians History and received 29 votes despite announcing that he was trying to enter the record books by receiving no votes.
He latterly lived in Hampstead, London, and was a regular caller to phone-in shows on BBC London 94.9. He died aged 80 on 13 April 2015.
Carroll was due to run as an independent candidate for the 2015 United Kingdom general election, in the Hampstead and Kilburn constituency. Should he win the election in this constituency, it will be re-run, due to his recent death.
