Pacific Beach, San Diego
Pacific Beach is a neighborhood in San Diego, bounded by La Jolla to the north, Mission Beach and Mission Bay to the south, Interstate 5 to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west. While formerly largely populated by young people, surfers, and college students, because of rising property and rental costs the population is gradually becoming older, more professional, and more affluent. P.B., as it is known as by local residents, is home to one of San Diego's more developed nightlife scenes, with a great variety of bars, eateries, and clothing stores.

Finding Good Crappie Fishing Spots
Jason made a point in the fall and winter to look for new crappie fishing spots with his electronics. He started in some productive arms of the lake and idled along break lines looking for brush piles with fish.
These creek channel edges are often where fishermen like to drop their brush piles. So Jason scanned with Lowrance HDS 3D Structure Scan for likely looking spots and brush piles until he found schools of crappie holding on them.
Once he saw a good school of fish on a brush pile, he stopped and fished it. He would cast a jig over the top, when they quit biting that, he would pitch to the piles from a closer distance, and finally he would get right on top of them and fish vertically on the pile.
He had one of the best fall/winter periods for crappie fishing in recent years by getting out and hunting for fish more with his electronics.

Remember When: Nat Park
Produced in 1996
Times seemed simpler then...there were rides, dances and amusements. It was a place where families and friends played, picnicked and strolled: from the dance halls to the Midway, with bumper cars and carousel, miniature train and trolleys. The Jack Rabbit and The Hammer reigned. From 1889 to 1968, Natatorium Park was a Spokane place to be.

Life as a Truck-Stop Stripper
Everyone knows what charming places strip clubs can be, but perhaps there is no club so charming as one in Moriarty, New Mexico—a truck stop with taxidermy and the bras of former employees on the walls, a few poles, a shitload of black light, and plenty of titties. Never mind that The Ultimate Strip Club List website describes it as the place where strippers go to die.
Natalia Leite and Alexandra Roxo go Gonzo as they pose as strippers and experience something that can be best described as a Marina Abramovic performance crossed with a bizarro episode of Wife Swap directed by David Lynch's daughters, set in the type of place where a one eyed guy who shot himself in the head dispenses meditation advice to two naked women.

Watch Christian Bale Burn Rubber in ‘Ford v Ferrari’ | Anatomy of a Scene
How do you go about recreating a 24-hour auto race for a movie? If you’re the director James Mangold, meticulously.
His latest film, “Ford v Ferrari,” takes place in the mid-1960s as the Ford Motor Company is trying to come up with a car that can beat out Ferrari in the Le Mans auto race. The American executives bring on the car designer Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon) and the driver Ken Miles (Christian Bale) to aid in that task.
This scene takes place at the beginning of the 1966 edition of the race as Miles is preparing. Narrating the sequence, Mangold said that he wanted to use the camera following Miles down a hallway and then out to the track as a technique to reveal the spectacle of the race, with overwhelming crowds and a heightened energy.
The race starts the same way Le Mans used to actually begin, with the drivers standing across the track from their cars, then running over and leaping into the vehicles before pulling out. Mangold said the moment, captured in one shot, was a challenge to coordinate but was important to give a sense of authenticity to the scene.
He said he shot as much of the action as possible with real cars and stunt drivers, using visual effects not as much for the racing moments, but more to populate the stands so the production wouldn’t need 20,000 extras each day.
Read the “Ford v Ferrari” review.
