A private excursion during our quick stay in the Cayman Islands aboard the Carnival Paradise (Carnival Cruise Lines).
We had the best guide (Tyrone) that was very patient with us (first time riders) and he was willing to make sure to get photos of us.
Stingray City was unbelievably amazing! There were so many stingrays on the sandbar! Tyrone fed them and they kept coming! The water was crystal blue and so beautiful!
I highly recommend Fat Fish Adventures while visiting the Cayman Islands!!

We spent a week here back and had so much fun so when we saw we would have a day here again on our cruise stop we planned the ultimate cruise ship excursion day for the whole family and especially for the kids to have fun on Grand Cayman!

It is perfect for family vacations and a great cruise ship stop. We've done both now and loved our time on the island both times. You can read about our previous time on Grand Cayman.
The Cayman Islands has recently been in the news because they are taking steps to increase the cruise ships that will be stopping and that means more families looking for the best shore excursions on Grand Cayman.
We love to travel as a family and Stingray City in 2019 was even better than before. Emmy kissed so many stingrays and even Pete kissed one or two!
Here is our complete guide for our day on Grand Cayman where we explored the island, took a private boat ride to snorkel, visit Stingray City and also to starfish point! The girls carefully held starfish and we saw so many bright and beautiful fish!
This really is one of our favorite islands for families in the Carribean and we really know the best things to do when you only have one day in Grand Cayman with your kids.

Booking a 31/2 hour tour with us really means that you get 31/2 hour on-board Big John. Other operators might include transport time in the advertised length of tour - in these cases actual time spent on the boat is less than advertised.

We serve iced water/fruit punch and Pizza Margarita free of charge. Being out in the salty Caribbean waters works up a thirst, and the snorkeling and sea breeze work up quite an appetite. You will so enjoy these complimentary goodies - guaranteed! Even our vegetarian guests wolf this up!
FREE DOWNLOADABLE PHOTOS OF YOUR TOUR!
Captain Mario does his best to make sure he gets great photos of you at Stingray City Sandbar, under-water shots of you snorkelling and Starfish Point Beach (if this is included in your tour). We invite you to bring along your own camera - you can never get enough pics of these wonderful memories! These photos are made available to you on-line a few days after your tour. You simply send in your request via an on-line request form, and VOILA! they are yours to download free of charge - download all of them or none at all - its your choice! We include over 30 of our favourite photos for you - so you usually end up with an average of 40 photos of the trip. Not bad when you've been charged nothing for it, right? Every single photo featured on our website has been taken on actual tours and made available to our guests.
FREE SQUID TO FEED THE STINGRAYS!
What's the use of feeding stingrays if you don't have the food to feed them? We provide the squid (which we call stingray popcorn) for free, so that you can enjoy this experience to the full. Not all operators provide it for free, and some don't take it at all. That kind of sucks.
FREE SNORKELLING EQUIPMENT FOR ALL AGES!
Snorkelling equipment is provided free of charge to everyone on-board. We have snorkelling equipment for all ages and sizes. It is kept in excellent condition, and it is kept clean. You are more than welcome to bring your own equipment, but at least you know if you don't feel like packing everything for the tour - it is all there. We also have swimming aids and floaties - these are for the less confident swimmers and the little kiddies - why should anyone miss out on all the fun?
CLEAN FULL BATHROOM ON-BOARD!
For you ease of comfort and peace of mind - a nice full bathroom that is kept clean and hygienic.

Our boat Big John was specifically chosen so that our guests can enjoy their trip - irrespective of weather conditions - and many have them have been so thankful for this! Tropical rains can be highly unpleasant when you have no protection from it, and sometimes the Caribbean sun can get overwhelming. Big John offers something for everyone - the sun worshippers love the bow, the more social guests love the flybridge where they can shoot the breeze with the crew and hear interesting stories - mums love the large interior cabin where there is space for kiddies to play around safely.......thanks Big John for always being just perfect!

Cayman Islands, Grand Cayman. A quick tour of our room at Villas of Galleon. Then afternoon charter boat to Starfish Point and Stingray City by Cayman Private Charters, on their '36 Intrepid. Unique experience late afternoon at Stingray City being the only ones there.
Grand Cayman: Island Tour (Perfect for the Whole Family!)
Visiting Grand Cayman on a cruise? This video shows some of the highlights from the island tour. Your guide will take you past interesting houses such as the governor's mansion, how the locals live, a stop at the Tortuga Rum Co. where you can sample rum and rum cake, the dolphin discovery (and the turtle farm, right across the street), and ends at 7 mile beach. You can stay here for the rest of your day, or the tour does include a drop off back at the pier.
We booked on the pier (not through the cruise line) and it was affordable and informative! I would recommend it to families, people looking to save money, and those who have nothing planned for this stop.
