Cedar Mountain Trail Rides, Cody Wy.
Lynn and I coming down the Mt., very steep, rocky and slidy!
Wyoming - Cedar Mountain and Red Gulch
In order to get to the top of Cedar Mountain, you can drive up a dirt road to a blue gate separating private lands and public lands. Before the gate, is BLM land with several campsites on the way up. I looked it up and access is allowed on the private land as long as you are respectful of the land and keep your distance from the radio towers. If you split off to the right instead of continuing up at the radio towers, you can find a tombstone and the popular buffalo statue with an amazing view. Don’t stop there though! Continue back up the original road/trail and you’ll eventually reach an amazing 360 view. It’s absolutely breath taking! When you reach the parking area there is a split off to a cave that can be accessed with permission. With all the split offs, it’s about an 8 mile hike. AllTrails has more information and has recordings of the trail with waypoints if you’re looking for more information.

Jeffrey City is located in central Wyoming in Fremont County. The town, at the time of this recording in 2013, had a population of about 60 people. Jeffrey City is at an elevation of 1,931 metres (6,335 feet) and is serviced by U.S. Highway 287 / State Highway 789. JailbreakTrail - Outlaw Trail Area - Cody, WY
The JailbreakTrail is just one of many great mountain bike trails in the Outlaw Trail Area in Cody, Wyoming. This is the highest point in the trail system. It is a perfectly pitched downhill run and a steady grind in the uphill direction. As you can see in the video, this is a narrow high speed rip through classic Wyoming sage brush lined singletrack. This video shows only the upper half of the trail. See parkcountypedalers.com for maps and more information.
Up, Up, and Away: Touring Cody, Wyoming by Air

Thanks for watching! I hope you enjoy this video.

Cedar Mountain, Bull Hollow Area
I expected these trails to be somewhat of a challenge, but they turned out to be easy-going, and probably passable in a full-sized 4WD. It was still a fun day with lots of nice scenery.
Why I Love Wyoming - IN COLOR !!!
debtrotter — May 27, 2010 — THIS IS A COLOR REVISION OF A VIDEO THAT WAS ORIGINALLY DONE IN SEPIA FILM EFFECT. If you're all about lush color, You'll like this one better. If you're an old movie buff you may prefer the original. Which is your favorite? :)
As a Cowgirl Artist I don't need to go far to find inspiration. I just drive around the roads and backcountry near my home - Cody, Wyoming - and let big old Cowboy Country just swallow me up. On this day I drove down to the Southfork of the Shoshoni River and snapped photos along the way.
Here you'll see Castle Rock; cows by the river, on hills, and in the woods of the lower Southfork; horses, antelope, deer - and even pigeons sharing the grass with a gentle, lone horse.
This is why Wyoming is heaven - and why artists from all over the country love to visit.
