INCREDIBLE Elephant Sanctuary Experience - Chiang Mai, Thailand 2016
This adventure made possible by:
Visiting an Elephant Sanctuary in Chiang Mai, Thailand was an unforgettable experience! We booked our day at the Elephant Sanctuary through the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary!
We opted to spend a full day at the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary so that we could spend as much time as possible interacting with the Elephants! We would gladly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.
When booking an elephant experience in Chiang Mai, Thailand, make sure to do your research about the elephants, and definitely don’t book a tour that includes riding the elephants! In order for the elephants to be tamed enough for humans to ride them, they must be put through brutal torture as baby. This allows the owners of the elephants to break their spirits until they become totally submissive to humans.
Please don’t support this type of business! Instead, support an elephant sanctuary or reserve such as the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. The elephants are treated much better! Plus, it way more fun to feed and bathe the elephants that it is to ride them!

Experience Thailand: Chiang Mai
Have you heard of Chiang Mai? This beautiful city in the mountainous parts of northern Thailand was once the capital of the Lanna Kingdom. While the empire is no longer around, Chiang Mai continues to reign as a destination for travel in Thailand.
Visitors from all over the world have made their way to this gem in Thailand’s north for lavish temples, bazaars, locally made arts and crafts and elephant sanctuaries.
While the possibility of discovering old traditions, historic architecture and ancient culture is part of Chiang Mai’s allure, this 700-year old city established by King Mengrei in the 13th-century is also filled with more modern attractions too. An exciting metropolis has developed around the Old City.
Foodies will love Chiang Mai’s blossoming culinary scene, and design lovers will find unique creations and art being showcased in spaces that are every bit of the 21st-century. In December of 2017, UNESCO awarded this Chiang Mai the title of Creative City.
During the day you can spend your time taking in the Chiang Mai’s past, present and future by observing a mixture between the intricate art that adorns the beautiful old temples and exploring the contemporary art and design scene.
Once the sun goes down the city comes to life with night markets, buzzing bars, hip restaurants and hubs for street-food. A little bit outside the old city walls and bustling cosmopolitan area, you can explore idyllic villages and peaceful countryside, beautiful waterfalls and other beautiful scenery.
It’s time to start planning your escape to Chiang Mai, a land in the north where Thailand’s past, present and future come together and create an experience like no other!

WALKING STREET CHIANG MAI THAILAND | TRADITIONAL THAI MASSAGE WITH HAPPY ENDING
The Sunday Weekend Walking Street Chiang Mai Market is easily the most popular shopping experience in Chiang Mai. A fun and vibrant spectrum of art, crafts, music and delicious food. The Sunday night market Chiang Mai starts at Tha Pae Gate and runs all along Ratchadamnoen Rd, for around one kilometre. As the name suggests it takes place every Sunday from 4pm until around midnight, and it does get very busy. We got a Thai Massage hoping the crowds would die down during that time but it didn't. A really fun night and you must do this when travelling to Chiang Mai.

ELEPHANT SANCTUARY 2018 ???? CHIANG MAI ELEPHANT JUNGLE SANCTUARY CAMP | Travel Vlog 119
Chiang Mai Elephant Jungle Sanctuary is an amazing ethical Elephant Camp in Chiang Mai 2018 - you need to see this experience! ⬇ Click 'Show More' to expand ⬇
If you come to Chiang Mai you have to visit an Elephant Sanctuary Camp - it's an incredible experience! We did the full day tour with Elephant Jungle Sanctuary and highly recommend you join them:
This is our second visit with Elephant Jungle Sanctuary in Chiang Mai - in fact, of our Top 12 Things To Do in Chiang Mai visiting and Elephant Sanctuary is our number 1!
Before you visit Chiang Mai please do your research about ethical treatment of Elephants and go to a camp or sanctuary - please don't ride the elephants! Riding of them is terrible for them and theres some really bad procedures used on baby elephants to make them subservient and broken.

Full Day Elephant Experience | Chiang Mai, Thailand
Today is our 2nd day exploring around Chiang Mai and we are so excited because we are doing a full day Elephant Experience with Into the Wild Elephant Camp.
We get picked up and drive about 1.5 hours outside of Chiang Mai to the camp. Our guide introduces us to their 5 elephants and explains that they were rescued from other camps where they were being poorly treated.
We get started feeding the elephants bananas. We each get a full bag of 30 or so bananas and we are amazed at how quickly the elephants devour them.
We then head out into the jungle to trek with them for around 2 hours. It is quite the slow pace with a lot of stops for them to feed. We learn that elephants eat around 19 hours of the day and we can tell they have a serious appetite!
We head back to camp for some lunch and then make medicine balls for the elephants out of a bunch of natural ingredients. And finally the last activity on the agenda, we give the elephants a mud bath before rinsing them off in the river.
It is now time to head back to Chiang Mia after a very full and exciting day.
We booked this experience with Into the Wild Elephant Camp. We did a lot of research on the different company options to make sure we were choosing an ethical one. Into the Wild strives to provide the elephants with a comfortable and free environment in the jungle and we had an amazing experience interacting with the elephants in their element.

AMAZING Jungle Zip Line - Chiang Mai, Thailand 2016
Zip lining through the jungle of Chiang Mai Thailand is an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend booking your zip lining experience through Flight of the Gibbon!
Today we had the opportunity to experience The Flight of the Gibbon’s zip line canopy tour! The ziplining experience was incredible. My three favorite parts included the 800m zipline, the superman zip line, and abseiling from a giant strangler fig tree!
The jungle of Chiang Mai, Thailand is the perfect location for a canopy tour. We couldn't believe how green and beautiful the canopy was in the morning light! Plus, we got to watch gibbons swinging from the trees!

An Emotional Elephant Experience | Chiang Mai, Thailand | C&A Lost Files
As you may or may not know, Amanda had a very emotional, difficult, and life-changing experience at Elephant Jungle Sanctuary in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Her favorite animal is an elephant, and she spent months researching an ethical, no riding sanctuary. We settled on Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. Due to the difficulty of the day, Amanda hasn't wanted to share this experience until now. She is finally ready to share this with all of you.
In today's video, we bring you along on our journey with Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. The people at the sanctuary were very kind and were as accommodating as they could be. You will hear us discussing some frustrations with details listed on the website. We are pleased to see the website has been updated to give a more accurate representation of what will happen since our time there. If you are disabled or have mobility issues or just aren't very sure on your feet, the full day option is not for you. The half-day would be more your speed.
All in all, this began as a very frustrating and difficult experience but ended up being an incredible life-changing time. Amanda's dream has been to interact with elephants, and as you will see, she got some pretty amazing moments others didn't get.
We hope you enjoy this! Please be kind!

5 Reasons Why it Sucks to Retire & Live in Chiang Mai Thailand
The pros and cons of living in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
I’m going to talk about my personal feelings and experiences during my time in Chiang Mai. I’ll talk about the stuff that I really don't like about Chiang Mai and why I think it might be a bit over rated.

FAQ
--------------------------------------------------
Some people don’t want to talk about the bad things because they want to keep it positive and that’s fine, but for me, I just want to share my experiences and keep things honest. Not just raving about the good stuff.
Pros and Cons Living in Chiang Mai
I think you need to weigh the pros as well as the cons. Giving our honest opinions and different point of views is a way we can learn in this world and to make an informed decision.
If you’re just visiting Chiang Mai for a few days or a week or two, you probably won’t notice a lot of my dislikes. I’m talking about living in Chiang Mai for many months.
1. Super Touristy:
This can be a good thing since more locals can speak a bit of English and the city is full of Western amenities. This is also a good thing if you have local business, but to me it was too touristy for my taste.
Lots of Chinese, Japanese, European, American, and everyone else come here. The Chinese come in busloads.
2. Air Quality & Traffic Congestion:
The air quality is a serious issue. Before I came to Chiang Mai, I heard many people talk about how bad the air quality was but I didn’t listen. I’m one of those people who thought I was invisible.
3. The burning season (Jan - Apr):
During the first few months of each year between January to March is the annual burning of the rice fields. The side effect of that is haze and smog.
4. No Beaches:
There are no beaches in Chiang Mai, so if you want to swim in the sea or take long walks on the beaches - Chiang Mai is not for you. But you can always rent a place with a nice swimming pool. Then again, I can’t imagine how many tourists and expats would be living there if there was a beach.
5. Lack of Mass Transportation:
There is no subway and there is no skytrain like the one they have in Bangkok. You will be tempted to rent a scouter or motorbike, but if you do not have any experience riding one, I would avoid doing it and get a bicycle instead or take tuk-tuk, red truck or walk. I never saw so many foreigners wearing a cast or walking around with crutches during my time there.

THAI 747 Royal Silk Class - Memorable Experience! | Chiang Mai - Bangkok
A review of Thai Airways International's Boeing 747-400 Queen of The Skies in a Royal First Class Seat from Chiang Mai International Airport to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport.
It was a memorable flight onboard the 747, especially in a First Class Seat. It would be a sad day when the last of them are retired. Unfortunately, Thai plans to decommisson these in a few years time, so this might be my last flight on one of their 747s.
I booked this flight using 20,000 Royal Orchid Ples Miles + 1,710 Baht. I was so happy there was no equipment swap for this flight. Otherwise this whole trip to Chiang Mai would be a waste.
Keep watching to see what it's like to fly Thai Airways' 747-400 in a First Class Seat on Domestic!
