10 Bells Pub / Jack the Ripper & Spitalfield market - London U.K.
Spitalfields area of Whitechapel London -
Spitalfields is a lively East End area, home to artists, creatives and a large Bangladeshi community. Brick Lane is lined with curry houses. Victorian Spitalfields Market sells crafts and fashion, and surrounding restaurants cater to lunchtime City workers. Street art, quirky shops and trendy bars appeal to hipsters and new media types. The 18th-century Christ Church Spitalfields stands as the major landmark to the area and is located beside the grimly famous 10 Bells Pub which was the last watering hole for 2 of the Jack the Ripper murder victims.

Strolling around London's Liverpool Street, Spitalfields and Brick Lane
Back to Liverpool Street station on Bishopsgate, and this time I turn in the opposite direction and head to Spitalfields Market. It is early morning, so it is not open yet, but we can have a look around. Then I wander down to see Christ Church Spitalfields (closed) and down Fournier Street to Brick Lane to see where that market is (closed)... We also look at a Banksy or two because there is a lot of 'street art' (graffiti) here. Finally we walk along Commercial Road to Aldgate East station
ABOUT ALPHATUCANA
This channel is about 'waking up' from our matrix-induced slumber, and about leaving the World a better place than we found it. For most of us, our powers and motivation are strictly limited. We are fundamentally alone in a vast and mysterious Universe, but in the struggle to survive, to 'succeed', or to just get by, we sometimes forget the bigger picture, and we sometimes forget to just relax for a while and remember what an amazing world this is. There is plenty to look at: science, Nature, society... And there are plenty of games to help us get away from it all... So on this channel, I vlog about science, Nature, enlightenment, current affairs and much else besides, I upload sightseeing videos showing London, England, or my holidays elsewhere, and I upload game-play videos. So why not join in for a while and see what you think?
POSTING SCHEDULE
This depends in part on whether I have had time to record videos in between going to work and living the rest of my life! Usually it runs like this:
- Most weekends: a vlog or sightseeing video.
- Gameplay videos: pretty random - typically at midday on weekdays, but not all the time.
- If I have something extra to post it usually appears at some random time :) I may livestream occasionally too.

London walk: Spitalfields Market with Kanon (華音チャンネル) + bubble tea + Richard explains MyLondon Photo
Join me and Kanon (華音チャンネル) – who has a great YouTube channel about life, Japan and her experiences living in the UK – as we walk through historic Spitalfields Market and end with interviewing Richard, who is homeless, about the MyLondon Photo Project.
We take in the free public art plus go for a quick diversion to Brick Lane before Kanon introduces me to bubble tea! At the end of the walk, we talk to Richard who is homeless and selling calendars for the MyLondon Photo Project. Richard’s photo, ‘Kerbside Bloom’ taken at the Barbican, appears as the June 2020 image, with some words from him on the connection between homelessness, the gutter and blossoming forth.
