The Surrey with the fringe on top - St Peter and St Paul Church, Albury, Guildford (Compton organ)
Another of me playing the magnificent Compton pipe organ at St Peter and St Paul Church in Albury, Surrey.
I am only an amateur and by no means a pro so wanted to point this out and hope you are still able to get the jist of the amazing skills of the John Compton Organ Company Ltd.
Being in Surrey I just had to play 'The Surrey with the fringe on top' by Rodgers and Hammerstein from the musical 'Oklahoma!'. Comptons did built cinema organs of course. I had planned to play this in 'straight' mode. However, when I put down the tremulants I was amazed at how close this organ sounded to one of its cinema organ counterparts.
Many thanks to the church wardens for allowing me access to this wonderful Compton organ.
NOTE: this is purely my interest in order to make sure that these fine organs are archived forever and I do not make any monetary profit by this video being on youtube.

An ancient Saxon church in a lovely parkland setting.
This charming, ancient church, dating from Saxon and Norman times, is a flint-walled gem, set amongst the trees of beautiful Albury Park above the gently running River Tilling. It is full of contrasts and surprises. Inside, you'll find: a light, limewashed uncluttered interior with a stunning medieval wall painting of St Christopher sporting a curly red beard; interesting monuments, including a brass of John Weston who died in 1440; an odd but delightful eighteenth-century shingled cupola over the tower. Another highlight is the South Chapel - this was remodelled by renowned Victorian architect A.W. Pugin, responsible for the interior of the Palace of Westminster.
He used his rich and colourful style here to create a dazzling mortuary chapel for Albury Park's Drummond family - this is lavishly decorated, with stained glass, painted walls and ceiling, and a magnificent tiled floor. Visiting in the spring when the blooming snowdrops carpet the churchyard with colour is a treat.

When my love to Christ grows weak - St Peter and St Paul Church, Albury, Guildford (Compton organ)
My second video of me playing the magnificent Compton pipe organ at St Peter and St Paul Church in Albury, Surrey.
I am only an amateur and by no means a pro so wanted to point this out and hope you are still able to get the jist of the amazing skills of the John Compton Organ Company Ltd.
In complete contrast to my first video, I am playing the hymn 'When my love to Christ grows weak' to the tune 'Song 13' which makes use of the solo reed stops such as the Hautboy and Clarinet, the strings and building up to a full crescendo at the end.
Many thanks to the church wardens for allowing me access to this magnificent Compton organ.

Appeal for West Mersea Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, Essex
The beautiful, historic Church of St Peter and St Paul has stood in the West Mersea village centre for many centuries and is a well loved landmark for the local community and visitors. The cost in both time and money to preserve, maintain and develop this ancient building is high.
An appeal is now launched for support ensuring that this generation hands the Church on in good order to the next, just as previous custodians have done.
EXPLORING BRIGHTON: Beautiful St Paul's church, England
SUBSCRIBE: - St Paul's church, Brighton (England). Vic Stefanu, vstefanu@yahoo.com. Brighton is an English seaside resort town. About an hour south of London by train, it's a popular day-trip destination. Its broad shingle beach is backed by amusement arcades and Regency-era buildings. Brighton Pier, in the central waterfront section, opened in 1899 and now has rides and food kiosks. The town is also known for its nightlife, arts scene, shopping and festivals.
Transformation of St Peter’s Church, Hereford
The decision was made by the Parochial Church Council to re-order the church building to enable it to be used for a variety of functions associated with the outreach works as well as the Sunday and Civic services. The three areas that the design was required to address were: providing an inviting entrance, which was accessible by all; providing an open plan, multi-use, flexible space that could be used for any activity; installing heating and services to enable the space to be warm, comfortable and useable.

#91 A Little Church in West Clandon
I couldn't visit the ruin I was intending to today as filming was happening, so I stopped off instead at St Peter and St Paul’s Church in West Clandon near Guildford in Surrey for a little exploration. The original Saxon church was rebuilt around 1180 resulting in the small Church you see today. The north and south doorways are from the original Norman Church, but the chancel was rebuilt around 1200 AD and the tower was probably added at the same time.
