Things to Do in Belfast - Belfast Tour - Belfast Attractions
For all those who are coming to Belfast soon and still didn't make a plan for the places they have to visit then this is the video for you because we have brought those hot spots of Belfast, Northern Ireland, and the things to do and the places to visit to try and help a little bit.
When you first arrive in Belfast - if you are coming by bus or train - you will arrive at the Europa station where you will be landing in the heart of Belfast and should then get ready for the different things you are going to do and see.
Just across the street from the famous Europa station, there is the oldest bar in Belfast city, the Crown Liquor Bar, so you could start your day with warming up with Guinness or you could even leave that part of the day to the end, to when you will come back to the same station to go back where you came from.
From the different interesting things to do in Belfast is to visit the Grand Opera House and attend any of the shows which might be taking place there. The Grand Opera House is on the other side of the street from the bar and there are always loads of shows there, so definitely go ahead with it and book yourself something to watch, you will definitely enjoy your time there and will find a different kind of thing to do in the evening.
So, getting done with the first part and which is all related to the landing location, there are still other places in Belfast which one should visit. One of the things that are considered a must to visit in this city is Belfast City Hall which was built in the very late 1800 and which we consider a really different kind of building. For those who are willing to visit Belfast City Hall - which we believe lots of people already have this on their plan - there are tours held in the morning which will take you through all the rooms of the building for free, and there is also a new exhibition which was added recently about the history of Belfast and the key events of the city which we believe is really good for the kids as well (
Leaving Belfast City Hall behind, there is one thing which we believe is important - for women the most :-) - which is shopping. If you want to do a little bit of shopping in Belfast then you have to take our advice and go to the Royal Avenue which is considered one of the main shopping streets in Belfast with different local as well as international brands and there are also some coffee shops and restaurants for those who want to take a rest from their shopping, and there is also the favorite Victoria Square shopping center which carries lots of different shops inside that will give people the chance to buy everything from there, as well as the top floor which is all about restaurants. Lastly, there is also the Castle Court which is one of the original shopping centers in Belfast, Northern Ireland, which carries all the different types of shops that you might be searching for and again there is an eating area with loads of fast food restaurants.
We are suggesting those places which people could visit as some kind of knowing more about the culture and history of Belfast, and we will also suggest those places which will give people a suggestion for a place which they want to visit at night. If you want to have a place to spend your night at then you could head to the Cathedral Quarter which is filled with hotels, restaurants, and bars which you could choose one from and spend some time at ( One of our favorite places is The Merchant Hotel which is the only five stars hotel in Belfast and which is great for those who want to spend their night in a different kind of way like having a cup of tea or enjoying a cocktail.
Just beside The Merchant Hotel there is the famous Anne's Cathedral, which also happens to be one of the most famous cathedrals in Belfast which is really old and one could get inside and have a tour in this old beautiful building (
The best thing about Belfast is that everything is within a walking distance, so walking away from The Merchant Hotel and Anne's Cathedral, one will reach the Albert clock which is a really old monument in Belfast ( and also for those who will get straight across, they will get to the Titanic Quarter where one could enjoy the museum and get the chance to see this area across the river (
The last thing we would recommend for those searching for something to do in Belfast is book a show or performance at the Ulster Hall which hosts a lot of musical events like the classical musical events with the orchestra.
If you want to find more about Belfast then Visit Belfast is the place for you which is a tourist information center.
The best locations around Ireland / Northern Ireland and further afield. A travel blog/vlog of the hidden treasures that are on our doorstep.

Belfast City - A walk around Belfast city to explore its hidden gems...
Visit Belfast for some excellent sightseeing and sample great Belfast pubs, shopping and attractions. In Belfast city centre you will find the City Hall, restaurants, shopping and roads leading to city attractions such as Queens University. Belfast is a great city to walk around.
Being the Capital city of Northern Ireland means that there are lots of different things to be explored in this city and it is of course one of the most visited cities in Northern Ireland as well. Whether it is about the shopping places and centers or else about the museums and old historical places, there are always what you will fall in love with in Belfast, and most importantly, walking around this city is a recommended option.
Walking through the city, you might be searching for those best bars which you want to have a drink at ( you might be looking for those best restaurants which you could be offered with delicious food at ( and you might be one of those coffee lovers who will be searching for the best cafes in Belfast that one could enjoy coffee, brunch, or even get served with a yummy dessert (
Another part of walking around Belfast city and trying to explore it is going to check those historical places and buildings which will tell you more about the city. There are lots of landmarks for this city which one should pass by - even just walking beside it and taking some pictures - such as the case with the famous Europa Hotel. There is also the Grand Opera House where one could book a performance while being in the city and enjoy an Irish cultural night.
The list for those different places is long, because moving past the Grand Opera House, there is the famous City Hall building ( which is one of the most famous touristic places in Belfast and which you are allowed to get inside and inspect the whole thing as well as the garden outside in which there is a memorial for the victims of Titanic.
Walking around Belfast and exploring all the corners of this beautiful city, we have passed by famous streets, crucial shopping centers like the Victoria Square Shopping Centre which is considered the most famous in Belfast, and we even passed by Castle Court which is another important shopping centre to be found in the city.
The Commercial Court in Belfast is one of those places which are usually recommended for visitors for the different restaurants, bars, cafes, and even hotels which it hosts, and not just that, but it is also one of the places where lots of those old buildings and even bars are located - you will definitely enjoy a walk there and exploring all the beautiful things regarding this place ( The Commercial Court is found inside a place known as the Cathedral Quarter which is also one important spot to discover because it is located in Belfast's City Centre and invites lots of people to it (
We have to say that one of the best things about Belfast in Northern Ireland is the fact that most of the touristic attractions are located next to one another and within a walking distance and this allows for enjoying the scenery of walking the streets while going from one place to the other (
From the other recommended places to visit and the different things which one could actually do in Belfast, there is the famous Titanic Quarter and this goes back to Belfast being the home place for Titanic and the place it was built in ( there is also the Crumlin Road Goal ( there is Narnia & CS Lewis Square that is located in Belfast as well ( and the famous Belfast Castle (
These are not the only attractions to be visited in Belfast, Northern Ireland, but there are also those parks which are scattered all around the country and one of the most famous of them all is known as The Botanic Gardens ( which is near the city centre of Belfast, and this is actually making it one of the most famous.
One of the interesting things which we should mention about Belfast and walking through its streets is the graffiti or the murals which are found across the streets on the different walls of the buildings - this is one of the most interesting parts of our trip when we are walking the streets of Belfast - we get to see lots and lots of things.
Belfast, a place you should visit now.

Belfast – Come to the northeast coast of Ireland to experience an eclectic mix of history and modernity. Follow our journey to Belfast and start planning one of your own.
When ready, browse vacation packages to Belfast:
Scattered throughout the countryside of #Belfast, you’ll find Iron Age forts, medieval castles, and more modern construction dating to the 20th century. Belfast got on the fast track to modernizing in the 19th century, when it became known as a shipbuilding mecca. Among the famous vessels built at Belfast through the decades are the RMS Titanic and its sister ships, Olympic and Britannic.
A great deal of Belfast’s modern identity stems from over three decades of political and religious strife. These issues have influenced much of the city’s public art, as a great number of murals and statues depict people and events from those times.
Belfast makes a great #vacation destination. The city is easily navigable on foot, and you never know what sort of delightful gallery, park, or restaurant you’re going to find just around the bend.
For now, we hope you enjoy watching this #travel #guide as much as we enjoyed making it.

Belfast and the Best of Northern Ireland
Rick Steves' Europe Travel Guide | We start in bustling Belfast's City Hall and Ulster Museum, then head out to Northern Ireland's favorite resort: Portrush, along the Antrim Coast, where we taste-test Irish whiskey, scramble over some six-sided geology in the Giant's Causeway, drop in on a world-class golf course, and stomp our feet to some traditional music.

▶Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom. The country is known for its Norman castles, glacial valleys and mountains, Celtic and Christian monuments, and coastal links golf courses. Capital city Belfast is home to the political murals of the 20th-century ‘Troubles’ conflict, and the Titanic Quarter, showcasing the redeveloped dockyards where the famous ship was built and a contemporary museum, Titanic Belfast.
▶Belfast
Belfast is Northern Ireland’s capital. It was the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, which famously struck an iceberg and sunk in 1912. This legacy is recalled in the renovated dockyards' Titanic Quarter, which includes the Titanic Belfast, an aluminium-clad museum reminiscent of a ship’s hull, as well as shipbuilder Harland & Wolff’s Drawing Offices and the Titanic Slipways, which now host open-air concerts.

Things to do in Belfast 2019 - Belfast Tourism / Belfast City - Fun, Free things to do in Belfast
Things to do in Belfast - My Favourite Belfast City Attractions that I recommend to all my visiting friends.
Europa Hotel - 4 star and is known as the “Most bombed hotel in Europe and even the world” having suffered 36 bomb attacks during the troubles, it was such a symbol of Belfast and is today. It was opened in 1971 on the site of the former Great Northern Railway station. It has 272 bedrooms, lobby bar, a Piano Bar Lounge; great for tea and looking out at Belfast go by… Bill and Hillary Clinton stayed here and had a suite renamed the Clinton Suite!
Crown Liquor Saloon (opens 11.30 to midnight Monday to Saturday, 12.30-11 pm Sunday) AKA The Crown Bar – best-known pub in Northern Ireland – opened as “The Railway Tavern” and it was sold in 1885, renamed and refurbished in 1885 and only twice since then! Italian craftsmen were bought to Ireland to work on the many churches being built at the time and the pub owner persuaded these guys to work in the pub after hours (maybe paid in beer!)
Robinsons next door would also be very famous and is a large bar filled with Titanic memorabilia. It was opened in 1895 and has Fibber Magee’s with traditional music, lunch and more.
Golden Mile, stretches from Great Victoria Street, Dublin Road, Bradbury Place to University Road, includes the Crown Salon and Grand Opera House and would be a main area for clubs, bars, restaurants and theatres in Belfast. It would have been the main area back 20 years ago.
Queens University Part of the Queens Quarter of Belfast, which is one of 6 cultural areas. It opened in 1810, being granted university status in 1908. It is one of the largest employers in Northern Ireland and has a global reputation for research, attracting many international students. Famous alumni include former Irish President Mary McAleese, poet Seamus Heaney and actor Liam Neeson
Ulster Museum
Located in Botanic Gardens, it’s the largest museum in Northern Ireland, 8,000 sq meters of display from fine art especially Irish Art to archaeology to treasures from the Spanish Armada and walks through local history. A more recent addition was the Game of Thrones Tapestry, a temporary exhibition which was created from Linen from one of the last surviving linen mills in Northern Ireland. This dictates many of the famous scenes from the TV show and is a celebrate of the shows creation in Northern Ireland. (
Botanic Gardens - 28 acres opened in 1828, opened all year. It started as a private park and became public when the Belfast council purchased it in 1895. It has its own Palm House Conservatory which opened in 1840 and is one of the earliest cast iron glasshouses in the world. There are 2 wings, the cool wing and tropical wing and includes 400 year old plants! So anyone into plants will love this stop.
Belfast City Hall
Located in Donegall Square, opened in 1906 it stands on the site that was one the White Line Hall, an international Linen Exchange. The street from the back of the Hall is in what is called “the Linen Quarter” and the street name is “Linen Hall Street”. (
St Anne’s Cathedral or Belfast Cathedral is the Church of Ireland and was also completed in 1904. It was built on the grounds of an old parish church that existed since 1776 called “St Anne “. Originally only the nave of the cathedral was built with other sections added through the years. The “spire of hope” was added in 2007 which is a 40 metre steel spire. (
Brings you out to “Albert Clock” Completed in 1869 – another famous landmark of Belfast. It was built on wooden piles in Marshy reclaimed land around the River Farset, the top of the tower leans 4 feet to the side. (
Walk through Queens Square to St. George’s Market, last covered Victorian market in Belfast. It was built between 1890 and 1896 and today up to 300 traders, crafters, musicians and amazing food are available on site. Free entry and open Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the weekend days the biggest. Holds events during the week.
SS Nomadic It was launched in 1911 and owned by White Star Line. It was a passenger ship to the RMS Olympic and RMS Titanic and is the only White Star Line vessel in existence today. It was built in slipway 1, Olympic was in slipway 2 and Titanic in slipway 3.
Titanic Belfast Opened in 2012 , a monument to Belfast maritime history on the former site of H&W shipyard where the Titanic was built. It tells the complete story of the Titanic which sunk hitting an iceberg in 1912. It has been voted one of the best tourist attractions in the world.
