Travel Vlog Iv is a travel and food video channel. I'm Ivana, nice to meet you! You'll find travel and food videos on this channel because I like to take you along while exploring the world. These videos hopefully make you excited to travel and eat food around the world as well. There's such a joy in getting out of your comfort zone and growing as human being by traveling to new places and eating delicious food you've never tasted before.
I'm currently based in Bangalore because India is my favourite country in the world. Travel in India is kind of my thing but I've been al over the world. Just check these playlists to begin your journey with me:
FAQ's:
Q Where are you from?
A I am born in former Yugoslavia. Mom is Serbian, Dad is Bosnian. During the '90's war we came to the Netherlands and I got Dutch nationality. I've lived in Amsterdam for 8 years but lost my heart to India. Since 2018 I'm based in Bangalore. See this video for my refugee story:
Q How can you afford to travel so much?
A I saved for 3 years while working full time and now travel vlogging is my job. I work together with tourism agencies but also do some freelance work on the side. You can watch this video: and this one: to learn more about my story.
Q What camera do you film with and what editing software do you use?
A Canon G7X Mark II and Final Cut Pro X
Q (Why) Are you vegetarian?
A I'm vegetarian but not strict. I don't eat any meat, fish, cooked/boiled or fried eggs. I gradually became a vegetarian over the course of 15 years because I disliked the taste of meat more and more. After doing a yoga teacher training in 2015 I also quit fish and the eggs. No matter my food preferences I have no issues with other people not being vegetarian. I don't judge others and kind of expect the same favor from others concerning my own food preferences. It makes for a more friendly world :-)
Q Why do you usually travel alone?
A Because my friends have jobs with limited holidays, kids and partners. Also I really like exploring on my own.
Q Why do you love India so much?

Film City Mumbai Tour, IS IT WORTH ₹3000?
After checking out the Bollywood stars' houses in Mumbai in the last vlog, I head to Film City Mumbai to see where Bollywood films are made. I take the Film City Tour and give you a review of whether it's worth ₹3000 or not.
The amount of Bollywood movies shot here at Film City Goregaon is incredible as are some of the sets you get to walk around, like that of Baghban, Singham, Deewar, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and more. The most interesting two areas as the temple set and the outdoor set with 3 houses - both are used in countless Bollywood films.
The tour costs ₹3000 ($49 online) for foreigners and ₹650 for Indians.

A day in Mumbai | Mumbai Darshan | Things to Do in Mumbai | Places to Visit in Mumbai
Things to do in Mumbai. Places to visit in Mumbai. A day trip to Mumbai. We went on a day trip to Mumbai. It was a Mumbai Darshan day. At Mumbai, we all know about Famous Mumbai Chor Bazaar or Mumbai Street Food or Best Places to eat in Mumbai and Best restaurants. But this trip was different. It was roaming in Mumbai like an amchi mumbiker. First we reached from Pune to Mumbai by train ride through the Western Ghats. The condition was not monsoon like but it was still very scenic. Upon reaching Mumbai, at Dadar we boarded the Mumbai Local to Andheri West. From there we reached Juhu. At Juhu we visited several homes of Bollywood stars at Juhu including Amitabh’s Pratiksha and Jalsa, Yash Raj Films, Ajay Devgan & Kajol and the Deol family as well. Then we went to Juhu beach. We enjoyed at From Juhu Beach we went to Bandra Band Stand through Pali Hill, where we went to Mannat, home of great Shahrukh Khan and then to Salman’s place. Once done, we then took the Worli Mumbai Sea Link from Bandra to Worli. Then we visited Shri Siddhivanayak temple to aarti and offered our prayers. From there we went to Haji Ali Dargah. Before reaching Hali Ali, we passed by Mukesh Ambani’s Antilia, Nehru Planetarium. Then we went to The Hanging Gardens. Then from there we took a cruise at the Marine drive before passing by Chaupati, Wankhede Stadium before reaching Nariman Point. From Nariman point, a great sunset place, we reached the famour Gateway of India beside Taj Hotel. However we did not visit Elephanta caves today. Once we were done with some shopping at Crawford street and some refreshments at Café Mondegar’s, we then headed to CSTM to catch our train, return journey from Mumbai to Pune once again through the majestic Wester Ghats. What an end of the day. Mumbai is a city of dreams and a hope of a Million. Mumbai has a heart of its own. If you look beyond the glitz and glamour that people hold the city synonymous with, you could hear its heart beat. It narrates the tale of millions crowding stations each day to emerge winner in their daily struggle. If you listen carefully, the city echoes longa their dreams. It is humanly impossible to cover Mumbai in a day, because you need to live here to decode its language however we did attempt covering a few touristy stuffs. Nonetheless, even if it were for a day, the city seemed to have spoken to us, embrace us, and made us its own. Come along as we get lost amidst the metropolitan Mumbai crowd on our last visit.

Indian Street Food Tour in Mumbai - Bombay Duck Fry and AMAZING Vada Pav!
SUBSCRIBE NOW►
Read my blog about Vada Pav:
Day 3: Mumbai, India - To begin the day we took a quick trip to Elephanta Island to see the Elephanta caves. We then came back to Mumbai, and had amazing Bombay duck at Gomantak restaurant, and then proceeded to have one of the greatest Mumbai street foods, called vada pav.
00:22 Elephanta Caves (boat ride 180 INR ($2.69) - One of the worthwhile attractions in Mumbai is the Elephanta Caves, which are a series of historical religious temple caves located on an island off the coast of Mumbai. To get there, you can take a boat from the Gateway of India. We decided to go there first thing in the morning to try to avoid the crowds. I thought it was well worth it.
6:56 Gomantak Boarding House (Dadar West) - One of the top Mumbai foods I wanted to try when I was in Mumbai was Bombay duck, also known and bombil, which is actually not duck at all, but lizardfish. We took a taxi to Dadar West and went to a restaurant called Gomantak that specializes in Malvani cuisine (from the area of Mumbai) and always has Bombay duck on their menu. I ordered the Bombay duck fry, fried pieces of lizardfish that came with the full thali set, including rice and a few curries and chutneys on the side. I also couldn’t resist ordering a side dish of pomfret masala. One interesting thing from this amazing Mumbai restaurant was solkadhi - made from coconut milk and kokum fruit, and it was my first time to try it. Total price - 710 INR ($10.60)
14:14 Ashok Vada Pav - One of the most important Mumbai street food snacks is vada pav, which is a fried potato cutlet stuffed into a bun and seasoned with some flavorful chutneys and spices. It’s sometimes known as the Mumbai vegetarian burger. Ashok Vada Pav is known for serving one of the best vada pav in Mumbai, and they also have some serious history to them. When I took my first bite, I knew exactly why it was so popular. It was absolutely sensationally delicious. It was a little on the salty side, but the vada pav was so good, with a balance of salty, spicy, sweet, and crunchy. Vada pav is one of the most popular Mumbai street foods, but at Ashok vada pav you’ll find one of the best in Mumbai. Vada pav (vada pao) - 20 INR ($0.30).
18:36 Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum - 100 INR ($1.49) - After the amazing vada pav, we took a taxi over to the Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum, which is another good museum to visit when you are in Mumbai. I especially liked the actual building.
19:58 Bagdadi Restaurant - For dinner we headed back to Colaba near to our hotel and ate at another legendary Mumbai restaurant known for serving north Indian Mughlai food. The one dish I had to order was chicken masala fry, and I also got daal and palak paneer. Although all the food was indeed on the buttery and oily side, it was incredibly delicious. Total price - 515 INR ($7.70).
Thank you for watching this Mumbai food and travel video. The highlight of the day was the Bombay duck fry and the Mumbai street food vada pav.
